Let's face it: We have all gone onto Google or Wikipedia or some website like that and searched "saxophone" just to see what comes up. Obviously, you would get a saxophone. But there's only about 6 that are commonly used today, when, originally, Adolf Sax built a family or 30-40 saxophones. Then there's weird stuff like the Aulochrome, which is 2 soprano saxophones meshed together and re-keyed with an entirely new key system to allow the player to play 2 notes at the same time. According to the creator's website, Michael Brecker has used it in 1 or 2 of his songs.....although I'm not sure how accurate that is....anyone got any other interesting instruments? I've got loads, but I'm going to give you guys a chance too wink

I have this program called Finale and you can write music on your computer with it and you can write piccolo cornet parts and bass tuba parts.

Obviously Ive only done about three letters so far, but there are some WEIRD instruments there smile
I suggest googling some of them to find out more about them
