Does any one study a weapon that might be considered unusual by people outside your style? Tang soo do studies mainly knife and bo, but ocassionally nun chuku , or other things depending on what version you take.
EDIT: But those are pretty common weapons

My base art, Kenpo, works with the staff, baton, nunchaku, and the sai. My own explorations with weapons include the Karambit, a curved knife common in Indonesia and to practitioners of Silat; a great variety of European blades, from the Espada Longa to the Sgian Dubh. I love the Sgian Dubh, as well as the Gladius Hispanensa, but the Dacian Falx pulls a close third. I have also worked with a blackthorne walking stick/ shilleghle, in a traditional Irish method, good fun. Yawara/Kubatons are also a good tool to know how to use.
Ooh, Ooh, how about a Sarong, or Hanawari rope....
I think that empty hands are one thing, but I like to stack the deck. I carry no few knives, a walking stick, Yawara, and length of knotted paracord. I am a tool using human.

I'm in Chuan Fa (Kempo) Kung Fu, and I have seen what most would call unusual weapons. Some good cases are Tiger Hook Swords, Tiger Trident, Deer Antler Daggers, Flying Weight, Nine Section Chain Whip, and the Flying Dart.

Your weapons sound the most unusual but that is mainly becuase i have not heard of most of them lol. Personally, I think a common pencil would be enough for me. Espcially with a good point. cheese_whine
