This rare patch of undeveloped land is lightly forested and peppered with statues of generals, saints, explorers, and other people no one really remembers. It's a great place for romantic picnics and the occasional meetings of the occult. Bring the kids!

< < Profile Cael strolled slowly through the park along the stream that flowed out from the adjacent forest. He had skipped school today. It was supposed to be his first day but he wasn't really ready to start at another school just yet. He figured that if he wasn't going to spend the day in a manner that his parents would consider "respectable," then he might as well get to know the town. The best, and most secluded, place to start seemed the park. Sparking his lighter as he went, Cael made his way along the stream from what seemed to qualify as a main road in this area to the forest at the edge of the park. Cael liked seclusion, he had loved the peaks of the mountains in Vermont, but He was uncomfortable being in yet another new place in just one year. 'I am happy to leave Florida behind, though,' he thought. 'Damn heat was too much of a shock to my system.' All of a sudden there appeared to be explosions coming from the forest. Someone screamed "NO!" and Cael could hear hooves galloping away. 'Atleast this place seems to be exciting,' he thought. Being a bit of a pyro himself, the explosion interested he and he ran off into the forest to investigate.

< < Previously in the Lost Woods of Hyrule Cael broke through the tree line and ran back through the park that just moments ago had been the location of his eventless wandering. It had been a nice day. He had woke up this morning, promised his parents that he would enjoy his first day at his new school and left his house to enjoy a long walk around the town. But no. That all had to be interrupted by some freak little teddy bear with wings. A freak of nature with an inferiority complex now chasing him across the park. He had to get away somehow. Just then Cael realized that he was running towards the same rock that he had hidden his school bag near. Perfect. It was empty since he hadn't been to school to get books yet. Just large enough inside for a yellow, winged teddy bear. Cael spun on his heal next to the rock and stood facing the small furry creature chasing him. biggrin LOO40KCICbh9M:https://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg279/Saiyan_Princess/Card%20Captor%20Sakura/ks28.jpg" style='float:right' /> "Ohho! Guna play chicken huh?," shouted the bear. "You picked the wrong guardian to mess with!" The creature bared his teeth and dived at Cael who in one fell swoop picked up his bag and caught the creature. "Oi! Let me out of here!," it yelled. Cael held on tight to the bag and started thinking that if this thing could talk, maybe it could be reasoned with. "Quiet," he whispered, "I've never seen anything like you on the Discovery Channel so I'm guna bet that you're not the type that wants to get noticed." The creature stopped fidgeting. "We're going to take a nice little walk somewhere moderately public where we can have a little chat. I'm curious as to what you are and why you're hiding in these woods. I'm thinking the coffee shop, how's that sound to you?" The creature was silent for a minute before replying in a whisper "Only if you get me a cookie." "Deal." And they were off.

<<< Previously Alma looked up and realized where she was immediately. It was the park that was near the sandbar. The only thing she was really curious about was the name. "Pick-Pocket Park" had a slight negative connotation to it. Shrugging, she entered the park and looked for a nice place to just relax for a few minutes before continuing any adventuring that had yet to begin. Sighing as she sat on a metal bench dedicated to one "Ashley Samantha Smith; May you live on in the hearts of all your students at DUHS; March 1967", she pulled out a sketch book. After looking around, she picked her target ; a nearby statue of some explorer. With the smallest of smiles, the goth started her sketch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Added 2/2/09~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alma's head snapped up as she woke from a doze. Her finished sketch was on her lap but the pencil had rolled off when she had moved. She Bend over to look under the bench and stopped dead. The pencil was laying there on the grass but her backpack was gone... With a quick movement, Alma had grabbed her pencil and sketchbook and looked around the surrounding area. There was her bag, discarded in the grass about 15 feet away from the bench. As she growled various types of profanity, the goth walked over and picked up her bag and was vaguely surprised to find all her books and binders messily stuffed back into the bag. The bag-snatcher must not have found anything they liked and tossed it. After a few minutes of fixing up her bag, Alma stood up and headed towards the bus stop once more. She had checked her watch and there was still a hour to fool with.

< < Previously at The Twin Bells biggrin LOO40KCICbh9M:https://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg279/Saiyan_Princess/Card%20Captor%20Sakura/ks28.jpg" style='float:right' />"The Alchemist draws his power from the world around him. You must learn to control the energy that flows through the world. As a human you draw your power from Terra, Earth, so this will be our first lesson. Pick up a handful of sand." The scene was Kero hovering in the air with Cael sitting in lotus position on the ground. Cael was rather uncomfortable as his legs didn't naturally bend to the position they were currently in. The Discomfort showed on his face, but he tried to get past it and actually learn from this puff-ball. He cupped his hands and scooped up a pile of loose dirt in front of him. Kero continued dragging the Alchemy Index out of Cael's bag and opening it, "Terra, Earth, Material. This is the source of the physical world. Without it we would all be just spirits wandering in the Void. Let the dirt sift through your fingers and feel the Earth drift away into dust." Kero closed his eyes for a second and let the weight of his words fall on Cael before snapping at him. "Earth? Really? That's what you people decided to call this planet? What kind of name is that?" Not dignifying any of the questions with an answer, Cael retaliated with "You seem to have a big problem with names in this area. I don't know who named the planet but it's Earth. It's been earth for hundreds of years so we're not about to change it. If you've got a problem with that go back to where you came from." Kero hurled the book in front of him at Cael, hitting him square in the forehead and knocking him to the ground. Bearing his teeth and noticing that some of the things in Cael's pockets had fallen out, Kero swooped down and picked up a black rectangle with a pink triangle on it. Kero could see no practical use for this object and assumed it to be of sentimental value to Cael. Slowly recovering from being hit twice in the head in a matter of a few seconds, Cael gazed around to find the target of the strangling session he was planning. He saw Kero flying off with what looked like his lighter. His hand jumped to his pocket and indeed found it empty. 'That little.... I'll string him up by his tiny wings,' he thought. Cael gathered up the things that had fallen out of his pocket, the book and his bag and hurried off after Kero shouting, "BRING THAT BACK!" Kero chuckled in response. "Ho Ho! Seems I've hit a nerve as well as your head. Maybe you should think about what you could lose before you insult a great guardian beast." "Get back here and I'll thank you for that lesson." Cael chased Kero all around the park. Kero weaved in and out of the few people that were there and niether he nor Cael stopped to respond to their bewildered gazes. Kero flew past a bench and Cael saw his opportunity. He vaulted over the back of the bench and used the back as a spring board to launch himself at Kero catching him and pinning him to the ground next to a goth girl waiting at the bus stop. "Gottcha!" Kero struggled and bit at Cael but he held on for dear life, trying to wrestle the lighter away from Kero. Finally prying it from his tiny hands, Cael held the lighter tight in his right hand while he dusted himself off and shacking his left vigorously trying to get Kero to release his finger from the clench of his jaws. Thinking he might owe the girl an explanation, he smiled at her and said, "Sorry about that. My, uh, rare illegal bird from Indiriastan was trying to get away with my lighter."

Alma turned to the brown-haired boy and his... "bird". She hadn't cared about whatever the heck was going on behind her until the boy started talking to her. Glaring at him as she took off her headphones, she made a closer look at his "bird". She was really in no mood for conversation, she just wanted to explore on her own. "Well, first off," the girl began curtly, "if it's illegal, why do you have it? How did it take your lighter? And I know birds, that's no bird." Her eyes fell on the fur, "They don't have fur, weirdo. Only mammals have fur." A realization dawned on Alma as she stated this. "Is it a bat?" Then she really looked at the guy in front of her, one of his eyes was green and the other was blue. Lucky, she thought to herself, It would be neat to have Heterochromia...

On reflection Cael determined that his choice of lie might not have been the best if he wanted to avoid drawing attention to himself. "Um well..," he poked Kero in the eye who finally released his bite, "alright, you got me. Honestly I'm not quite sure what this thing is. I just didn't expect someone to think twice about it. And ouch on the weirdo part by the way." He turned his glance to Kero who had resumed floating in the air. "I've been trying to figure out what he is but he's very temperamental." biggrin LOO40KCICbh9M:https://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg279/Saiyan_Princess/Card%20Captor%20Sakura/ks28.jpg" style='float:right' />Kero cleared his throat. "You know normally I'd keep my mouth shut because I like to remain hidden, but this conversation seems to be making you uncomfortable and I've told you ten times today that I am the Guardian Beast of the Book, Keruberosu," he turned to the girl, "not a bat. So there."

When Kerube-whatever spoke, it barely phased Alma. What was going on with her made this seem normal. She turned her eyes on Keru and frowned as she observed him. He looked similar to a small yellow teddy bear with a long tail and wings. Oh yeah, and moved and talked. With a heavy sigh, the goth returned to the conversation. "Alright, so I have a flying teddy bear looking thing called Keru that's a guardian of some book in front of me and you," Alma's eyes fell on Cael, "Why did I need to get involved in this?" She covered her eyes with her left hand and place the right on her corresponding ear. Moaning slightly, she turned and walked back to the bench. Upon reaching it, the girl sat down and and sighed. "My life just got even crazier, didn't it?" She turned her head to the boy and Keru, "Now what?"

Cael stood blinking at the space where not moments ago there had been a girl standing. In a feat that astonished Cael, she had disappeared beyond the periphery of his vision. Turning his head, he found her. Having magically appeared on the bench he had jumped over, she was covering her eyes and ears as if shielding her senses from evil. Cael's mind wandering back to the question she had posed he replied , "I guess the short answer is you don't need to get involved." He glanced at Kero who seemed to be insulted that his miraculous presence hadn't taken the girl's breath away. "I assume now we resume our lives as if we had not met." He shouldered his bag and began to walk off thinking to himself, 'That's the last time I apologize for causing a scene in front of anyone again.' biggrin LOO40KCICbh9M:https://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg279/Saiyan_Princess/Card%20Captor%20Sakura/ks28.jpg" style='float:right' />Kero bared his teeth, the insult turning to rage, and exclaimed, "Now we go back to our studies of the magic arts which you so rudely interrupted us from!" Kero flicked his tail at the girl and flew off after Cael at an angry pace. Cael, in turn, found the nearest tree and began to beat his head against it. Cael ceased his self punishment when he heard a loud "Tzzzap!" followed by an explosion. 'Not again,' he thought. Cael looked around trying to locate the origin of the sound. Kero froze staring in the direction the energy burst came from, a solemn expression on his face, waiting to feel what happened next.

Alma jumped up when the statue she had just drawn got attacked with a flashing light that made a "Tzzzap!" sound. Frowning that her exploring had been postponed again, she walked quickly to where the light had originated. Behind the partly damaged carved stone block, a girl with blonde hair that was possibly a few years older than Alma stood dumbstruck, staring at the statue. It was obvious she was the one that caused the lights or saw the person do it. Since no one else was moving, she approached the blonde-haired girl with the calm manner she was getting so much practice using. "Um, excuse me, are you all right?" Alma began in a clear, even voice, "Please don't run, though." By that point, she was almost right in front of the girl. She tilted her head to one side and the frown deepened. The red/black haired girl could tell from the other girl's body language she had caused the damaged to the statue, even though the statue itself wasn't too interesting.

This could definately be described as a weird day. The morning had started simple enough by dodging school but it had escalated to the point where Cael wasn't sure whether or not he was dreaming. It seemed that a statue had been reduced to rubble in the middle of the park with only a blonde-haired girl around as the possible culprit. She herself was surprised that this had just happened. The goth girl, who had treated Cael like he was the world's most annoying puppy, had wandered over to examine the damage and was trying to comfort the distraught blonde girl. 'You know it would be nice if I could learn some names in this town so that I could stop thinking about people by their most distinguishing feature,' he thought to himself. All these thoughts added to the impression Cael had that he just wasn't going to fit into this town, especially with a yellow teddy bear following him around. Kero had been standing so still that he was starting to look like part of the background and since he had apparently changed his mind about storming off in whatever direction the first girl wasn't going, Cael decided to check out the damage to the statue. After a few seconds of examination he interrupted the two girls comforting each other to ask the significantly less comforting but more pressing question: "What the heck happened?"

<< Previously It wasn't even near dark, much less the time Tehra would be out and about, and so the handsome Damien decided he would explore this strange city of Delmor. He had been wandering around for a while when he saw a park a little ahead of him. Damien continued in his calm, sedated way. That is, until he witnessed the exploding of a statue. This town most definately had some issues. He sped up to a much faster pace, though nothing fast enough to seem panicked. Damien was not afraid, just curious. He reached the statue a few moments later, slowing down to a stop as he entered the vicinty of what looked to be three teenagers. A blonde girl who seemed very very disconcerted, a dark haired girl who appeared to be trying to help the girl, and a boy with shaggy hair that seemed to simply want to know what was happening. Damien personality took the position of the male, he wanted to know what had occurred. When the statue had exploded, the fallen quickly thought it was a bomb, but considering the lack of damage from any given point and the fact that no one was running, no was hurt, something else had occurred. Damien's mind immediately jumped to the mindset of supernatural. All three of these teens gave him an odd sense, as if there was something different about them. And if Tehra wasn't the only one 'different' in this town, then well- that was a different story entirely. Damien walked up near the boy and cast him a sidelong glance with his crimson eyes. "Do... you know what happened?" He asked, his voice calm and quiet.

The unanswered question Cael had posed echoed from somewhere outside his head. 'Atleast I'm not the only one lost,' he thought to himself. Cael turned to see a man with long black hair and bright red eyes. In his presence, Cael felt a mix of comfort and uncomfort at the same time. "I'm not quite sure yet," he responded slowly. "I was just asking that myself." Cael made a mental note to himself to beg his parents to move back to Vermont when he got home. This place was just too much.

"What happen? N-nothing happened," Penelope sputtered, turning bright red as she tried to laugh nonchalantly. The resulting giggle was less than convincing (and a little creepy), leaving her scrambling for another way out. "Oh, you mean the statue! Yeah, it exploded! Out of the blue, for no apparent reason." Penelope looked at the quickly growing crowd, trying desperately to keep her nerves under control in case that fire thing wanted to happen again. "Must have been global warming," she finally joked, taking a step back.
