A lone cloud stood out in the deep blue sky. Its white puffiness looked like cotton, and gold eyes stared up at it, almost hypnotized by it. There was no wind to be known of and so the cloud merely floated along at a sedate pace that Alik could easily match. Calm him easily distracted, but there was nothing else to do today, and following a cloud in the sky was sure seeming like a fun activity. There were times when he wished that he had wings so that he could touch the clouds. Alik wondered what they were mad of. Were they as fluffy as they looked? Or were they hard and the exact opposite as he thought them to be.
It was sunny summer days like these that he enjoyed most. At times he would just lay down and stare at the clouds, thinking of their shapes and sizes, and what pictures they had. But today, one lonely cloud was out, and he had decided to stare at it for as long as the sun was in the sky. One of his ears flicked and Alik tore his eyes from the cloud and stared off to the side of the grassy hill he was standing upon. After squinting his eyes for a few minutes and seeing nothing of interest, he returned to cloud watching only to notice that it had moved a bit farther away.
Sighing, he started making his way down the hill, returning his gaze up to the cloud every few steps. Multi-tasking, no matter how small the task, was not one of Alik’s strong suits, and he tripped and almost fell to the ground. Quickly catching himself, he stood and looked for the cloud once again.

It was a wonderful day for flying. The sky was clear, virtually no clouds in the sky. Magaskawee soared above the hills, scanning the ground below for nothing in particular. Her ears perked up when she noticed the stallion staring up at the sky. What was he looking at? Surely it couldn't be her. Her question was soon answered when she suddenly felt water seemingly encase her body. Before the mare could let out a groan or grumble, she was out the other side of the cloud, now drenched. Her wings were becoming wabbly, as they were unable to catch the air with wet feathers.
Reluctantly, she began her descent, anything but excited for the more than likely rough landing.

Golden eyes widened in surprise to see that a mare had just flown through his cloud, because it most certainly was his, and she seemed to be coming down fast. Her colors were close the color of the sky, and she was still coming down quickly. Alik gazed at her wings, at how they held her up so gracefully and he felt a jolt of jealousy and envy hit his chest. They were really quite amazing.
It didn’t look like she would be able to land as gracefully compared to how she could fly. He quickly moved out of the way, incase it turned into a crash landing.

The mare managed to get her feet on the ground, but tumbled foreward into a sommersalt. A few seconds behind her were pink cherry blossom petals, which seemed to orbit around her feet. Instead of getting up, Mags just laid there, a small groan escaping her lips. "Damn cloud."
She flopped onto her side, only after raising her wing as to not hurt it. Mags sighed and looked around, waiting relatively impatiently for the sun to dry her feathered apendages so she could return to the skies.

The mare just laid there after her landing, and now seemed to be resting. It was air acrobatics that she just did, and he was surprised that she wasn’t hurt. Walking a bit closer to the mare he saw that there was petals that surrounded her and her hair was a shocking orange. Not wanting to startle her, because mares were always easily startled, he cleared his throat. And she had hurt his cloud. Peering up he saw that it was now split into two separate clouds. “Are you okay?” He asked, if only to be polite. He knew it to be childish, but it was his cloud she had messed up…But he would be nice, she probably hadn’t meant to do it on purpose.

Mags frowned when the stallion spoke. "So... I'm guessing you saw all of that?" She sat up, huffing as pain shot through her body. A few moments later, the mare had struggled to her feet, only to stumble a bit while trying to catch her balance. "I'm better at flying than I am landing..." She was blushing fiercely, though she wasn't surprised that she'd embarassed herself yet again in front of a stallion.

Unconsciously his eyebrow rose, giving his face a skeptical look. He could really believe that. Her face was flushed. Was she embarrassed? Or was she merely tired? He shrugged at his thoughts, not really caring. Alik walked up closer to her, nodding at the same time. “Yeah, I kind of did. Are you okay?” He repeated, and maybe he would get an answer this time. Obviously she wasn’t, but he was going to ask anyways. Her back probably, as she had some troubles getting up fluidly.

Nodding, she answered his question. "I guess I am. It's not the worst landing I've ever had. Then again, it isn't the best, either. Don't worry about me. I do these things daily, it seems." Magaskawee seemingly glared up at the now two separate clouds that caused her fall, mumbling something before she ruffled her wings.
"Now it's going to take forever to dry out so I can fly again..." Sighing, she examined the stallion. "I wouldn't imagine you'd want the company of a clumsy mare for a bit?"

Starring at his clouds, he had realized how much cooler it would be to have two clouds instead of one, and then moved his eyes to the mare. “A little company would be appreciated, even if it is clumsy.” Not to mention the fact that he wasn’t to graceful as well. A lot of falls caused by nothing seemed to happen around him.
Now the real question was, how was it she was wet? Was she wet before going throught the cloud? It at least gave him an answer to one of his many cloud questions. No, clouds were not hard. So were they soft and can be easily ripped apart? “How did you get wet?”

Mags quirked a brow. He seriously didn't know what clouds were made of? She supposed it was relatively understandable, as he'd never accidentally flown through one. "Well, I got wet when I went through the cloud." Nodding, she added, "Clouds, you see, occur when it's hot out. Water evaporates and when it gets high enough, clings to dust particles 'n' stuff, then cools and stays there."

Alik raised an eyebrow, once again skeptical. Could she really be telling the truth? Clouds were wet? He wished he could prove her theory, and fly up there and check for himself, but as he did not have wings it would be impossible. “I see, truly? That is odd. I always thought they might be more…substantial.” He replied. And they were cold? But they were in the sun all day. He glanced to his clouds again, shaking his head in almost disbelief. How peculiar the world was.
Peeking at the mare and he realized that he did not yet even know her name. “Ah, sorry. I forgot to ask, what’s your name?” He couldn’t keep referring to her as the mare. He almost rolled his eyes but remembered his manners. That was ruse to do, wasn’t it?

Magaskawee raised her wings slightly in what appeared to be a shrug. "Sorry to disappoint you?" She shifted her weight a little, only for one of her legs to give out. Luckily, she caught her balance before what would have probably been her thrashing into the stallion and causing the two of them to fall.
Her name? Why was that important? "Mags. Yours?"

It was slightly disappointing. But it did make sense as to why the clouds could easily be separated by a body, like Mags. If that wasn’t an odd name he didn’t know what was. Did it stand for something? Probably. Did that matter? Not really. Her legs seemed to be hurt, but how should he know?
“Alik Elric, but you can just call me Alik.” He bowed his head a little. Politeness aside, he could probably just leave right now, but he would ask her more on flying before he left. Hopefully she would be willing to answer some questions. First one being, “Are your legs okay?”

Magaskawee nodded and smiled politely at him. "I guess it's okay to meet you, Alik..." The mare didn't much care for meeting others, but it wasn't nearly as much of a pain as being stuck alone.
Raising a brow, she looked down at her legs. They weren't bleeding or anything, which was fine. But sure, they were quite sore after the 'landing.' What would make him think they were hurt? "Oh, they're just peachy. Graceful landings like that make me feel relaxed all over." The sarcasm was evident, but unintentional.

Alik rolled his eye at her sarcastic tone. See if he ever asked her if she was okay again. Only got him annoyed in the end. “It just looked like you might have been having some troubles, but whatever.”
He flicked his ear, shooing the fly away that had been hovering, and glanced at the sky were his clouds were supposed to be, only to discover that during this small conversation, they had moved rather quickly. In a hypnotic type of state, he took a couple of steps towards the puffy clouds, and then looked at the mare. “Do you want to go chasse clouds?”
