RP Event! - Fish Themed
RP EVENT ENDS WEDNESDAY 8.13.08 AT NIGHT. SO HURRY AND PARTICIPATE!
For this RP, you must either RP as a Charpia you currently own or as your Gaia character. I'd prefer you choose one or the other; if you have a Charpia, please choose one of your Charpia to RP with. If you currently don't have a Charpia, just RP as your Gaian Character.
You MAY RP with 2 Charpia MAX per person. Not a Charpia and your Gaian character. 2 Charpia.
Simple, no?
Something everyone should know:
Charpia can understand humans, as they have telepathy. This is the way they communicate with each other; Humans can NOT understand Charpia, but they can read their body language.
When typing a Charpia 'talking/communicating', please use italics. If a human is talking, please "Use Quotes."
You may RP with present/past/future tense. Whatever you're comfortable with. *Asterisks* and RPing with proper grammar/punctuation are both acceptable.
You will be judged on how you RP, spelling, character development, and if you're having fun. xd Also you'll be judged on how much you post. NOT by 'whoever has the most posts wins!' but rather if you post once, don't expect to win. razz Interaction is a key element.

The Backstory/Prompt
The sun was rising, the crisp air felt good against Befu's skin as she woke up, and Befushi twitched her tail in her sleep. "Today is the day!" Befu softly exclaimed to herself. "Time for an adventure!" She stretched and bent over to wake Befushi. "Hey, you. Wake up! We have a long day ahead of us!" Befushi opened one eye and glared at her owner, but sat up and shook her body, fur fluffing up a bit. Why are we getting up this early? <_<; Befushi thought to herself. Oh.. right.. It's that monday. Befu better know what she's doing...
For the entire previous week, Befu and Befushi had been building a small fishing boat. They were going to explore the isles of Befushi Land, leaving Charpia Island for a while. Today was the day they would put the finishing touches on the boat and hopefully that same day, they'd be setting sail. Because of the curious workmanship Befu put into the boat, many Charpia became curious and all kept their distance while they amused themselves with Befushi tripping over her tail, Befu hammering her thumb, and many other mini-misadventures the duo had while building the vessel. The curiosity would probably lead to some stowaways...
"Alright! Let's go!" Befu packed a cooler full of drinks and food enough for the two of them to survive for 2 weeks if they didn't catch any fish. "I don't know how long we'll be gone, but let's make the best of it, alright, Befushi?"
But I'll miss my friends. :< Befushi pouted.
"Oh don't be like that. You have me! =D" This didn't cheer Befushi up a bit. "Well.. let's go anyway." Befu rolled her eyes and started to push off the boat. "O_O OOF! This is heavy! Befushi, come help me. D:" Reluctantly, Befushi hopped down from the deck and joined in pushing the boat. After about 10 minutes of barely budging, and inching its way toward the water, the boat was floating and the small crew climbed aboard.

Orchid was having a very lovely, lazy day. The sea breeze had been quite inviting, and the small white and blue Charpia was spending the morning floating around on a gaint palm leaf out in the surf. She watched the waves ebb around her, shimmering from the bright morning light. Everything looks so shiiiiiney... She thought to herself, pawing at the water. Fish darted beneath her, and she kept her eyes glued on them. And those look so nuuuuuummy. @_@.. But small. Pouting, she was determined to look for a larger fish to catch later.
Slowly nodding off and resting her head on the cool, wet leaf, she was unaware that her course had drifted over to another part of the island. A shadow soon spread over her eyes, and she opened them. WhaaaaaaaatI'msleepinggoawaaa-AAAAH!! @__@;;;; The hull of Befu's boat was a few inches from her and her makeshift leaf raft and coming up fast. Before she could react she splatted against the wood siding, and was sucked under the water. Gurgling and eyes wide, she glanced around her at her new, blue surroundings. That was rude. >_> Glancing up, she could see the dark shadow of the boat as it slowly passed overhead. Though.. this is kinda fun... owo Orchid curiously looked around, seeing the fish who were teasing her earlier. So preeeeetty down here. She thought, before quickly swimming back up.
Breaking the surface, she gasped in a big, squeaky breath of air. While making incoherent noises she doggy paddled her way over to the side of the boat, grabbing onto a rope dragging through the water. It seemed to be part of a net. Orchid used it to climb up out of the water, as she peeked over the side of the boat to the goings on aboard.

Befushi was lazily sun-bathing, closing her eyes and enjoying the noise of the waves. She was glad of one thing; that neither she nor Befu ever got seasick. At least.. not yet. She turned over in her drowsy state and wriggled out of her hat. The moment she did, the surrounding noise grew more intense and she could hear something off the side of the boat...
It's just the waves lapping at the side of the boat.. right?

 You must be mad...Your Gaia Name: Velouria Dragoon Are you RPing as a Charpia or Gaia Character? Charpia, Velopia Characteristics: Fun loving and laughing. She loves the ocean shore and tries to bring mirth wherever she goes. There's an innocense about her, but she can pout or be spitefull if she gets cross. She can fly. She wears the hat like all charpia, and the halo in the picture is a representation for a little ring of magical light that hovers about this rare breed. It grows brighter when she's happy or contented (much like a cat's purr) and it dims when she is ill, sad, or stressed. Provide a picture of your Charpia or Avi: ...or you wouldn't have come here.

Ritika yawned and stretched a little. She had found someplace soft and somewhat warm to sleep, and didn't know where she had been. Lural will probably be wondering where I am now. She mused as she slowly started to wriggle out from under some nets and a large coil of ropes. She heard a faint tinkling sound and looked over, seeing some loose nails roll off a small platform. wait a minute... she looked around her. This isn't the beach! She stumbled, her back paw getting caught in the net a moment and she ran over to the nearest edge and looked over. She peered down, seeing- WATER?! Ritika sat down to think about this, not even noticing the other Charpia just a few feet away from her. Now how did this happen? Curiouser and curiouser. Might as well see what I've got here to work with! She stood again and turned around.

You must be mad... *Velopia flits around one of the islands. Swash had gotten tired of her scolding and he had scampered of away from her. Again. Well she'd find him, she always did. He needed her kind of luck, and he was always glad to see her again really...* Hmmmph he gone again!! she complains to herself Gonna hafta look for him... Her keen eyes catch something on the horizion. She stops in mid thought, realizing it can only be a boat. SWASH! she thinks angrily. Quick as a flash, she zooms off to where she assumes her friend Swash is sailing away in order to leave her behind. Little does she know that it is new friends on the horizion... ...or you wouldn't have come here.

Belial unfurled from her spot in the underwater cave she had managed to make her home. She adored the water and often wished she could make the ocean her residence; failing that, she had discovered a cave during one of her under water explorations. It was the closest to the water she could be.
It was generally a peaceful place and she very rarely ever had visitors unless they were invited- even then many didn't like to dive so deep beneath the surface for a visit.
But today Belial heard a peculiar noise coming from above-ground. She layed in place for a moment until her curiosity finally gathered the best of her and she dove into the water to swim to the surface. Her eyes immediately caught sight of two things; a boat and another very blue Charpia.

Holding on to the side of the boat with her small arms, Orchid looked around the deck. She had never seen a boat before and was amazed that something this large could be made of wood and sticks and vines and other various things that were new to her. Duuuude, this is like.. a house. @_@ on the water. So laaaaaarge~ Her eyes widened with a thought. I could catch a whole ocean of fish with something like this! I shall claim it now to be mine! Yesh... hmm... She scrambled her back legs trying to get the rest of the way up, but was unable to pull herself forward. Still hanging where she was, she noticed the form of another Charpia on the deck, apparently resting. Is tha- woah.. o.o She took her hat off. @_@ A little bit... o.o Oooooo I can see her ears.
Orchid ducked her head down slightly, and would have tugged on her hat if her arms weren't already being used to hold her up. She had a strange habit of feeling self conscious about her ears, hiding them safely under the folds of her soft hat; seeing a Charpia so casually without one made her ears twitch as if they were tickled.
Hmm.. if only I could.. get.. my.. leg.. up.. there... She began swaying side to side, trying to swing her leg up and over the side of the boat. It was always just an inch away from hooking on, an inch away from getting her to safety. D< Oh come ooooooooon MAKE IT! Orchid threw her weight into it on the last swing, hooking her leg but getting it caught in the netting first. Her arms slipped and she tumbled head over heels into the net off the side of the boat. It caught her and suspended her above the water by a few inches, but was now tangled to the point where she couldn't climb out. The sudden added weight to the net had also caused a few things on board to topple over (which the net had been near). Awwwww darn it. T~T There goes my takeover of the boat. >_>

Ritika almost shrieked with surprise as the net she was standing on lurched under her. She stumbled and fell before the net stopped. I want to get off! she panicked a little and scrambled off the net and stared at it a moment. You made good bedding, but you're a terrible floor! She hissed at it before she realized she wasn't alone. She had heard something. Something else. Something that wasn't the wind in her hat or the waves on the wood. She slowly creped over to the side of the boat the net was hanging off of, not even noticing there was another on deck, and peeked over the side.
