Safari What? Pokemon Event Game Safari What? combines chance, luck, and hide-n'-seek in a game of finding wild Pokemon in a given area. Participation is free, and capturing a Pokemon is optional, but you will be required to pay a flat fee if you do capture a Pokemon Kyn.How to PlayYou will work off of the map provided above to try and uncover where the Pokemon are hiding. Once the game begins, you may make one post per day to change your search location. The Pokemon Kyn will change their location once every one to three days as well, which makes finding them all the harder. All you need to do to get one is move to the same space that that Pokemon is hiding in - and then claim that Pokemon for yourself!
You are limited to winning one Pokemon from this event, to give others a chance.Movement InformationYou may only move into a square adjacent to your current position - that's only logical. Your first post must include a random number roll of 1 to 64 - which determines your starting position on the map. Around 9pm EST every night, the mule will post to cut-off that days' movement - letting people know if they landed on a square with a Pokemon in it. If you landed in a square with a Pokemon Kyn, you will have only until 9pm the next day, when the mule posts again, to capture it.
If you miss a day of your movement, you may not move twice in the next day. Besides, sometimes staying put may be to your advantage.Payment InformationThe cost of capture is 4,000 gold, which is good for a growing cosplay Kyn! Please note this event is OPEN

Spirit landed on the shore of the water, Paradox landing in the water behind her. After shaking himself dry, he floated effortlessly to Spirit's side, twisting around in the air.
So, why did you bring me here sweetie? Dox asked, with the usual grin on his face. He was rather small next to the older Eastern, but he was already starting to pass Rosemary in size.
Spirit just rolled her eyes, rather more tolerant of Dox's antics than the others girls of the den. (Well, oreo seemed to put up with it fine, but it's the overprotective Zephyr that's the problem here.)
I've heard that Aedan's found some particularly strange Kyns. Apparently, some of them have gone loose around this area. I thought that we should go check it out. Spirit replied, looking around at the beach. She really didn't know what to expect from the rumours.
Aw, don't hide it hunny. You just wanted some alone time with the great Paradox Edoc'sil didn't you? Paradox crooned. Spirit rolled her eyes again.
I only brought you because I needed another flier to keep up with me. Rosemary is busy with other stuff, and you need some practise in flight and movement in general. She retorted. She held her head up in the air, trying to catch the scent of other unfamiliar kyns.
Now let's find these odd new Kyns we've heard about.
Is this right Waffles? I'm assuming the random number roll is between 1- and 64 ^^

Circling high in the skies was a zebra coloured japanese kyn, her beauty betraying her true size and power. Ontop of her head sat poke, and the two gazed at the area below them
"do you have an idea of were these kyn are hding?" asked kichi. Poke replied with a shake of her head. "all I know is that they are in this area somewhere, so lets pick a place to land and search"
nodding, kichi began her decent

A black shadow and a silver flash circled down out of the blue sky, the latter riding the former's slipstream. Jicho, the red eye-spots covering his hide bloody crimson in the sun, landed with a thump and folded his short wings. Silver-scaled Myrrh alighted more gracefully, the dark, swirling marks on her powder-blue wings flashing before she tucked them away. "Is this the place you Saw?" the second of the Crater Lake flight asked, a slight emphasis on the last word. The gargoyle reared up on his hind legs to get a better vantage point.
"Yeah," he finally replied, dropping back onto his forlegs with a thud. "This is the place from the vision...But I don't see them..." He sounded confused.
"Them?" Myrrh hadn't asked for much detail when the younger member of her flight asked her to come with him to investigate a vision that had troubled him a few nights before.
"Odd kyns," the gargoyle responded absently, still looking around, "Like nothing I've ever seen. I remember...Some of them seemed as though they were on fire, like Amaterasu's mirror." He glanced at Myrrh to gauge her reaction. The european had faith in Jicho's visions: often enough they had proved to be truth, but still...Kyns on fire? It was unusual enough to pique her interest.
"I suppose we should get to searching for them, then."

Kailind peered at the ground below her from her position on Lioni's back. Right on the heels of the rumors of strange creatues in the woods were tales of even stranger kyns spotted in this area. She was even mroe curious about these than she was about the creatures, so she decided to investigate. But since kyns could be much more dangerous and unpredictable than small animals, she'd decided to have one of her kyns come with her. And this seemed a good chance to spend some quality time with one of her youngest.
"Was this the place?" Leoni asked his flightmistress. he turned his head slightly to glance over his shoulder at her. While he was also curious about the odd kyns, he was more wondering if it was wise to be looking for them. If they weren't bonded, they'd be feral, right? And freals were notoriously wild and violent. He was ready to call over another member of their den via mindspeak the moment things looked dangerous.
Oblivious to Leoni's concerns, Kailind just nodded. "Yup, this is it. Or at least the general area," she ammended. "Apparently any sightings have been fleeting, and I haven't heard of any dens, so we can't be sure where they are. It's probably best to stay in the air, where we can see farther."
Leoni nodded in response. That suited him just fine, because that way if somerhing tried to attack then they'd have more warning. He turned his attention back to the ground and began scanning it as well.

It was rare for Keely to leave the forest that she called home, and even more rare was the fact that she now sat perched upon Ampelos, her male Gargoyle Kyn. She could sense his uneasiness of being away from the forest trees that he so loved in the way he was tense underneath her.
"Hey, why don't we take a break?" Keely suggested, eying the ground below. It looked like a decent place to rest. Ampelos didn't answer in words; instead, he steadied his flight and descended, eager to be near plants again. The large kyn landed with a heavy thump.
"We've never been here before," Ampelos noted as Keely slipped off his back and landed gracefully on the ground. The Kyn looked around, aiming to remember every detail of the place.
"Well, then, let's explore." With that Keely was off into the bushes. Ampelos followed more carefully, watching his rider protectively. Who knew what kind of feral Kyn lived in this place?

June, why are we here? Mikayl asked for what must have been the tenth time that day. June let out a small sigh. Her patience was seemingly endless but this was just pushing it.
I told you, Mikayl, I wanted to get to know the place of my home better, she explained before trailing off. Okay, that wasn't really the real reason. She had heard whispers of strange kyns prowling this immediate area and wanted to see one for herself. June knew if she had mentioned that to Mikayl or Zen, or Ari, they would immediately pounce on her just to stop her from going.
She didn't understand why they kept treating her like she was something fragile, for goodness' sakes.
Mikayl still looked a bit unsure. But you haven't even got a solid grasp on your magic yet, he protested.
I promise if we run into anything dangerous, I'll let you and your big male pride take care of it, okay? June smiled, a teasing glint in her eyes. She started walking off, looking around curiously, as Mikayl spluttered for a bit before catching up to her.
Wow, the wildlife here is so pretty...

((You all do realize that you can post with or without my reply for your moves each day? ^.^;))
Cherry_chain There might have been a flash of color in the distance - a fleeting blink of red that disappeared almost as quick as it could be seen. But it could also have been a trick of the light.
poke mattix The woods and lake were both ideal spots for ferals to be found, but there wasn't a ripple across the water. If one listened hard enough, there might have been the sound of something else in the distance moving away.
Draconargentum The sky's blue color framed a blink of color that died out quickly as it moved away from them.
mewrose The sound of something scraping the ground - claws or paws against the earth - rose from the distance. It faded away gently, its owner moving away from them.
ChaosTheories Only the sound of something rustling in the far distance was out of the ordinary.
[jessii] There was the very faint sound of something moving in the distance, but its direction was hard to pinpoint.

"what was that?"
"what was, what?"
"I..don't know" Kichi decended lower to the ground, so much that she was hovering just a few metres above the ground. to the left of them was a large lake, and to the right, the woods up ahead.
poke scanned the horizion, trying to find any trace of the fereal kyns, but could find nothing.
"what did you hear before?" kichi asked, but poke just shook her head. "I don't know, but I thought I heard something".
"from which direction?" the eastern raised her head higher to get a better look, and poke thought for a minute. Were would be a good spot to start looking?
"lets go towards the woods" poke finaly said, and kichi sailed off

Keely heard a soft sound off in the distance. Though it felt very far away, she was immediately interested. "Hey Ampelos, did you hear something?" she called back to him, waving at the Kyn.
"Yes, faintly," he confirmed, looking at her solemnly. No doubt she would go running from here in a search for the sound.
Keely scanned the area around her. "Let's go check out the path over there."

The two Easterns really didn't notice their surroundings. Paradox what chatting his mouth off, and Spirit was getting continually agitated. Does this guy ever shut up?
The two moved away from the water, their dripping manes soon dried out as they floated along. They soon reached the grass, and the two landed softly onto the green mat to take bearing of their surroundings.

In her eager excitement, June kept running past Mikayl until he shouted for her to slow down and let him catch up.
Jeez, how can you run so fast? he huffed, slowing to a walk beside her. June just smiled at him innocently.
I don't know what you're talking about, she beamed before looking around again. She could've sworn she heard some trees, or bushes, being rustled in this general direction...
Hm, maybe she heard wrong. But, either way, they were here now and might as well explore a little. June had no idea what she would do if they actually stumbled upon a feral kyn but she had confidence in Mikayl's magic.

The two kyn scanned their surroundings for any hint of the unusual creatures that Jicho had seen in his vision. "Your sight is better than mine; can you see anything?" the shorter, powerfully-built gargoyle conceded after a few moments to the more slight female. Myrrh's neck was stretched as high as it would go, peering into the northern sky.
"I'm not sure..." She trailed off, scenting the breeze...But it was blowing the wrong way for her to be able to smell anything in that direction. "I think...that way," she finally decided, pointing with her snout.
Still looking warily about, the two advanced north, their claws leaving small gouges in the well-beaten path as they passed.

Leoni thought he waught the sound of some creature moving along the ground, something that might be large enough to be a kyn. He struggled for a moment, deciding whether to tell his rider about it, or to ignore the possible feral. But then again, it was on the ground while they were safely in the air, and he hated to mislead his rider.
"I think I heard something walking," he told Kailind. I'm not sure where it was, but I think it's moving away."
"Awright, let's go look for it!" she responded excitedly. "Let's move farther into the area and see if we can catch any sign of it. And fly a bit lower so we can search the ground better.
Leoni nodded, then turned to head in the direction Kailind was pointing.
