Ok, so marching band season started a few weeks ago and I haven't played my trumpet for a while. Now when I play it, it sounds airy and stuff. I don't know if it's because of my braces (I don't see how that could be though, because I've had braces since last year and it never sounded this bad) or if it's because I haven't played it for a while.
Today the airy sound got on my nerves while I was practicing, so I spent at least 10 minutes taking the valves out and putting them back in different ways. It still sounds airy though.
I'm also starting to think it's the brand of the trumpet. It's a Mirage.
Mouthpiece is a 7c.
