Of course I remember!!!!!
The Cavaliers did a Samarai theme, which I was impressed by their marching maneuvers, but the music and overall effect I thought wasn't as convincing as it could be.
The Phantom Regement did like a Gladiator's theme which was GORGEOUS. It was literally like a huge marching band broadway. the music, manuevers, and the guard were AWESOME. They got a 96 point whatever.
The Cadets' show was my least favorite by far. They did something like the Pursuit of Happiness, but it was narrated all the way through and the two elements the narration and music/marching did not seem to correlate. It would have been much better without narration, but they got a very good score I believe it was a 94 point something...
The Boston Crusaders had a cool show...it was Neo something or the other and they opened it up with the beginning theme from 2001: A Space Odessy, I don't know if you know what I'm talking about. But it was cool.
There was also a show based on Le Tour De France and at the end they had a dude ride a bike through the band which did a set shaped like an arrow pointing to the finish. And through out they had the guard do various bike themes with bike wheels and such, it was cool.
Carolina Crown did a very different show. It was a show about endings. So they arranger had people put their suggestions for their favorite endings of suits whatever...and it was all about that. Like classical literature, but it was AWESOME! I believe they had the highest score when I left...
OH! There was quite a few bands doing the doppler effect, I'll find a clip on YouTube. It's unbelieveable!
Not the best clip but you get the idea
