Field Randomization!
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
Ice field
The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

This place was a lot colder than she'd remembered it. Shivering she rubbed her arms and looked around. No wonder...the ice field. Grimacing she shook her head before reaching for the pouch at her hip, she drew out Astrel's pokeball and gave a half smile. "Seems we always get the tricky fields, eh buddy?" she whispered before tossing the pokeball out toward the field. "You're up Astrel!"
The pokeball popped open in a flash of white light and the sentret materialized flipping end over end before landing on all fours on the ice and instantly regreating it. "Seeeeeeennnnnn!!!!" Squealing as he slid across the field, Astrel dug his claws into the ice in an attempt to stop himself. No such luck. Instead he slid over to one of the pillars, managing to stop before he slammed into it and slid away. "Seen..." he didn't like this field. It was too cold...and too slippery!
Giving the sentret an apologetic smile, Cassadaine directed her attention to the other side of the field waiting for her opponent.
((Okies according to what I stole, saw in the match I had with Fayah, we both roll a six sided dice and whoever gets the higher number goes first. ))

Saspra ran in the stadium as fast as she could. Dang it. Again she had slept in and almost missed her battle. Shadow ran by her side as they entered the stadium. It was cold. Looking ahead she saw that the battlefield was made of ice. This wasn't good for Shadow. "Sorry I'm late!" She called over to the other trainer as she stepped onto her platform shivering a little.
Shadow ran ahead of Saspra and slid a little as his paws came in contact with the arena floor. Ice. What a horrible arena for him. Grunting a little he decided not to complain. Adjusting a little he awaited Saspra's command.
Saspra looked over at her opponent's Pogeymon. It was a Sentret. Interesting.

"I'll go first!" Saspra called over to the other trainer. "Let's go Flamethrower!" She called over to Shadow. This arena was bond to give Shadow a disadventage, but she knew that he could handle it.
Shadow slid around a little before he regained his balance. Opening his mouth he let out huge flames in Astrel's direction.

"Astrel evade that flamethrower!" Cassadaine shouted watching the blaze as it spiraled toward her sentret leaving a partly melted ice floor in its wake. "And then use Fury Swipes!"
Staring at the inferno as it came towards him, the sentret jumped to the left, digging his claws into the ice to prevent him from sliding to far as the flamethrower partly melted the pillar he'd been pressed again. Hearing his trainer's command he darted forward with much difficulty, slipping and sliding all the way. Once he was close enough to the vulpix he jumped his claws glowing as he slashed down at the other pokemon's face.

Shadow recoiled as the attack hit, but he stood his ground.
"Let's go Flamethrower one more time!" Saspra called out to Shadow hoping it would hit this time and maybe even do critical damage.
Shadow opened his mouth and let out anotehr burst of flames towards Astrel.

"Dodge that one Astrel and give him a Slam!"
Claws scrapping against the ice the sentret tried his best to avoid the second inferno but that wasn't meant to be as he found part of his fur getting singed from the burst of flames. Letting out an indignant yelp, Astrel focused his annoyance at being burned into running as he charged toward the vulpix tail beginning to glow as he drew nearer. Launching his body forward, the sentret swung his tail toward Shadow hoping to make contact with the currently...offending pokemon.
