Grass Field
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

Saspra stepped onto the platform and looked around the field. It was the Grass field. Somehow she had horrible luck whenever she battled here, but what the hay. It couldn't hurt to try. She looked down at Shadow. For once she had kept him out of the Pokeball.
Shadow narrowed his eyes as he looked at the field. This was one of his most hated arenas. He grunted then ran down and sat down waiting for their opponent.

Meeka came out into the battle area. Grass field huh? Ebba would of enjoyed this battle. Throwing Heila's Pokeball, she called. "Come out Miss Heila!" her voice echoed.
Heila jumped from the Pokeball and landed with a light thub on the grass. At least it was a light landing. Sighing, this was her second battle. Against a...Vulpix? Wasn't this interesting? Going against one of her fire counterparts.
"Ready to start this?!" Meeka called from her trainer podium. She knew she was.

"Of course I am Meeka!" Saspra called over. Still remembering the trip. "I'll start us off! Shadow use Flamethrower!" She ordered from where she stood.
Shadow huffed then took a deep breath and let out fierce flames in Heila's direction.
Saspra watched Shadow proudly. She had just caught him not too long ago and already he was used to battling.

Heila stood there and took the flames They did not hurt her at all. Maybe lightly fizzing her fur though.
Meeka giggled. "Alright Miss Heila!" she called. "Use Shadow Ball!"
Heila stood a stance before a large blob forming over her mouth. When the blob grew big enough, she jumped up in the air and launched it in Shadow's general direction.

Shadow stood his ground as the shadow ball hit him. He growled a little then waited for Saspra's next command.
"Let's go with Flamethrower again!" Saspra ordered.
Shadow opened his mouth again to let out flames.

[[ *shakes head* Flamethrower is a fire type move. Since Heila is part fire type, it's damage is halved. I asked Flo. 8D ]]
Heila felt the flames. The were relaxing. But the fizzing of her fur wasn't very appreciated. The little fox was ticking her off.
"Miss Heila, use Dark Pulse!" Meeka said. "And don't be so easy this time!"
Heila growled as her body pulsed abnormally. She had to hold her stance tightly before the black energy went pulsing around the field. The grass of the stadium rustled violently from her attack.

Saspra watched the Dark Pulse hit Shadow. Ouch. She thought to herself. "Let's go Confuse Ray!" She called to Shadow.

Meeka snapped her fingers. Darn! A missed attack! That really sucked. Even worse, the Confuse Ray Shadow had used hit.
Heila shook herself. Damn! That Vulpix hit her good with that Confuse Ray! As her visioned was blurred and she stumbled slightly, she waited for command.
Meeka cringed. "Shadow Ball Miss Heila!" she called.

Shadow rolled backwards as the Shadow ball hit him, but stood back up again and waited for Saspra.
"Now, use Growl!" She ordered. If they couldn't inflict much damage they'd just have to lower Heila's attack power.
Shadow growled fiercely towards Heila showing his sharp teeth too.

Heila had a nice smack with the Growl. She felt weakened. Not good. Plus, her vision was blurred. She sighed. This was horrible.
Meeka grimaced. "Heila, Shadow Ball again!"
Heila obeyed and formed the blob, before shooting it out. Round and round it goes...who it hits...Hopefully not herself!

Saspra watched Heila's move backfire. At least it didn't hit Shadow though. She thought thankfully to herself. "Flamethrower again!" She called out to Shadow. It was like her most used move in this battle.
Shadow opened his mouth to let out flames as soon as he felt them rising up his throat.

Heila was attacked twice. By her own Shadow Ball and by the Flamethrower. Luckily once again, the attacks did not harm her as much.
Meeka rubbed her temple. She wasn't going to give up upon this battle so easily! "Miss Heila, Shadow Ball once again!" she called to her partner.
