THE CANYON FIELD!
The Canyon walls toward high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces themselves are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces themselves are very damp (moss is also present due to the continuous moisture) which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff, announcing an option for land-based pokemon such as to grab and swing; however, these cannot bare that much weight and WILL break if such a thing happens. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Visually is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone.

"Hmm... This is a new field for ya, 'Donna," Renekai said. "But no worries! You can levitate, so don't worry about the canyon." Renekai was at her trainer's platform, Dreydonna floating at her shoulder. "Just do your best, 'kay?" Renekai said.
"Ghaaaassss," Dreydonna said, floating out into position. So her opponent would be a fire type, huh? Well, that was a new one! But no matter; time to fight! Dreydonna was amused at the little camera that followed her through the air. She made faces at it, waving her long tongue.
"Let's get started," Renekai called happily over to the other trainer. She suppressed a laugh at the faces Dreydonna was showing on the screen.

Saspra was holding Shadow's Pokeball in her hand. Another day another battle. She always thought. "Come on out!" She called and Shadow came out of his ball with a brilliant flash of red light.
Shadow stared across the field and spotted a Gastly. So he would be fighting against a Ghost type huh?
I'll start us off if you don't mind!" She called over to the other trainer. "Shadow, use Confuse Ray!" She called out to him hoping that the attack would hit its mark.
Shadow opened his mouth and let out a glowing white ball and sent it towards the Gastly.

"Don't loo--" Renekai started to say, but it was too late.
Ooh... Pretty... Dreydonna thought, staring at the ball. Wait, what was she supposed to be doing again? Dreydonna looked around, a little bewildered.
"Hang in there! Shadow Ball!" Renekai ordered. Might as well go for a stat change and not risk Dreydonna hurting herself.
Shadow Ball...? Oh, that was an attack! Dreydonna shot a Shadow Ball at Shadow to lower his defence.

(( I'm guessing Shadow Ball also does 100 Damage? x'D ))
Saspra flinched as the Shadow Ball hit. Only one thing to do now. "Shadow use Growl!" this would make it as if the Shadow ball never hit in the first place.
Shadow shook his head then jumped up to where Dreydonna was floating. Once he was in front of her face he growled.

"Alright, let's try for a Lick, then!" Renekai called.
Dreydonna stuck her long tongue out at Shadow before swooping down to lick him with it. Hopefully, it would paralyze the Vulpix!
"C'mon..." Renekai said, watching the battle closely.

(( xD I see no point considering I lowered your Attack by 50 and you lowered my Defense by 50. Lulz ))
Saspra was relieved that the attack backfired and hit Dreydonna. "Let's go Flamethrower!" She called over to Shadow.
Shadow opened his mouth and let out deadly flames towards Dreydonna.

"Dodge and Lick!" Renekai called.
Dreydonna swerved around the flames and once again attempted to paralyze Shadow with a nice, big lick. This was fun! Licky~

Saspra almost giggled as the Lick missed again. She obviously was having no luck with this move. Then again, Saspra wasn't having much luck either. "Flamethrower again!" She ordered from where she stood into the microphone.
Shadow hoped away in time to miss yet another Lick. He opened his mouth and let out another Flamethrower hoping that this time it;d work.

Before Renekai could give another order, the Flamethrower hit. "Ghaaaasss!" Dreydonna said as the hot flames reached her. However, she made herself partially invisible, using the light to her advantage, and the rest of the fire passed through her harmlessly, so the damage was minimal.
"Alright, Lick one more time!"
Dreydonna flailed her tongue at Shadow once more.

Darn it! Shadow was paralyzed for 3 turns. Saspra sighed and wondered what the other trainer would pull in this time period.
Shadow got hit with the lick on his shoulder and suddenly began to feel like he couldn't control his body.Shadow's HP 800/800 (( Attack -50 Paralyzed 1/3 ))
