The Fire Field
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

Lamen blinked in utter confusion at the scene, wondering where all this lava came from... she felt extremely dizzy in all this heat, and could only faintly mumble: "Donut... come out." to release her gastly into the field.
Donut was smiling with his mouth wide open, glancing around the field with great enthusiasm.
They hadn't been in this one before, and it was most certainly the worse one for his trainer, who was born and raised in a cold climate. This entertained him a little. Lamen, however, found herself overheating almost immediately, and would be stuck with a headache for at least a week.
"Oh... man... Save me and let us end this battle quickly, Luna..." She pleaded, looking at the trainer who stood on the other side of the field. This was their second battle against each other, although this time, Lamen had her own pokemon.

Luna was comfortable in the fire field. After being in it for so many battles, it was nearly a second home to her. Luna gave a small giggle at Mythee's situation while Chirper, who was on her shoulder, nipped at her hat. "Can't stand the hea-Chirper, stop that!" Luna gently fwapped away Chirper's nibbling beak and removed her swablu's hat.
"Bluu swabluu~" Chirper said cheerfully, going for her hair this time.
"Chiiiiirpeeeeeeeeeeer!"
The bird finally relented. "Bluubluuuuu..." He said before taking off into the battlefield to meet the ghost pokemon.

Luna grinned widely. Today, she was felt like attacking first. "Since you want this over so quickly Lamen~I guess I'll go first! Chirper, theft attack!"
Chirper let out some cheerful chirping noises. Looks like his street skills were still of use! The bird pokemon flew silently and speedily towards Donut, a skill he had perfected while stealing from people on the streets of Katarina. "BLUU!" Chirper finally cried out while near Donut. The bird pokemon's body glowed black as Chirper passed by Donut in what Luna hoped was a clean hit.

(( HOLY- 8D;;; GAH. 300 damage already xD;; )) "Whoah... Donut, get out of the- oh man."
Lamen watched as Chirper executed his first attack at top speed, taking off some of Donut's gas in the process.
"He's too fast for us. Alright then, I guess we have no choice... Donut, use Thunderbolt to paralyze him."
The gastly shouted at Chirper, building up a discharge. Finally, he let loose a bolt of electricity, in the hopes that it would hit. However, it was his first time using the attack... [500/800]

"Whoo~First hit!" Luna cheered for her bird, punching a fist into the air in triumph. Now they just needed to n** away on the rest of Donut's HP without getting hit too much. Like by that thunderbolt attack Donut was preparing at the moment.
Chirper opened his beak, spitting out some of the gas from the ghost pokemon. The gas wasn't shiny OR tasty at all, he had no use for it. The swablu turned and glanced at the Gastly just in time to see the incoming attack. That didn't look too good...
"Look for a thermal draft!" The trainer knew that it would be very difficult to outfly a thunderbolt attack, their only chance would probably be using the battlefield (and heat) to its full advantage.
"Bluubluu...blu...bluu..."
The swablu glanced right and left for some area that would lift him up FAST. The electric attack was coming closer and closer and he certainly did not want to get zapped. That just wasn't any fun. Feeling a slightly warmer area of air near his right wing, Chirper veered right and managed to catch a hot draft of heat/wind that lifted him high up into the stadium safetly away from the thunder attack.
Luna released her held breath. They had lived...for now. "Okay, let's not waste anytime! Go straight down for a theft attack!"
Chirper gave a few flaps in the air, making sure all his feathers were indeed intact from his latest ordeal. On his trainer's urging, Chirper focused his sight on the ball of gas floating back down on the battlefield. "Bluu!" The swablu said resolutely, swiftly diving down towards the other pokemon.

"GAAS!" Donut reeled at the second hit, losing some of his gas again. He was sooo going to get his revenge now!
"Donut, try... again..." Lamen barely said, sweat beading on her forehead.
The gastly charged up again, his increasingly smaller cloud of gas crackling angrily. He shot out another paralyzing bolt at the bird pokemon.

Chirper was about to let out another round of hisses at the ball of gas when he was caught off guard by the bolt of electricity. The effects hit hard and fast. His nerves stiffened and he soon found that he was unable to keep himself up into the air.
"Crap! Chirper, refresh!" Luna ordered quickly, not wanting Chirper to suffer too much from the extreme heat. Chirper was always uncomfortable in sudden temperature changes.
A white glow permeated the swablu's body as it collided with the safety net that hovered above the lava. The swablu let out a distressed cry as he struggled to fly back into high altitude and push away the effects of the paralyzing attack with his white healing glow.

"Finally! A hi- oh damn. I wish Donut could do that." Lamen dizzily half-facepalmed, trying to keep her thoughts off of the nearest place that sells water. As for her gastly, he fumed, ready to attempt the attack again from the looks of the static in the air around him. "Okay..." his trainer nodded, meaning that he could go.
"Gaaas!" He chased Chirper upwards, unleashing another thunder bolt.

Chirper slowly rose back up from the lava pit again, looking slightly disheveled but still in once piece. He sent out a murderous glare at the gastly. When this battle was over, Chirper was definitely going to trap that pokemon in a jar and stick him in the darkest corner of his vaults.
"BLUU!"
Without warning, Chirper glowed black and charged at the gastly swiftly with another theft attack. The bird used his small body size and agility to his full advantage, slipping past the thunderbolt and its surrounding static with ease.

"Gas!" Again, Donut was foiled. " He yelled in exhasperation, or should I say, exgasperation. (*SHOT*)
"Donut... paralyyyzzzeee...." The melted puddle on the ground that used to be Lamen pleaded.
Donut shed a fake tear, touched by the tragic moment. This might be his last shot... " He hollered in what would seem a melodramatic idiotically broken voice to a pokemon, going in for another Thunderbolt...

The swablu's eyes shined in amusement at his opponent's mini soap opra. This was prime entertainment for the easily amused Swablu. Luna also looked onto the scene with amusement, she felt lucky that she was a bit more resistant to heat than Lamen was.
Of course, when both partners saw Donut's attack being launched, they took swift action against it.
"As amusing as this is, I think it's time to end this! Dodge and go in for a theft attack Chirper!"
With a blink of an eye and with great aerodynamic skills that Chirper probably stole off Prince, the pimp bird dodged around the large ball of electricity and speed off towards Donut once again.

((So I was looking through attack stuff and apparently gastlies can have Ice Punch without even having fists. xDD))
Donut's gaseous body was momentarily distorted as Chirper ripped through it, causing him to reel around himself in the air like the surface foam of a disturbed coffee. "Gaaasss!" He cried dizzily, about to faint- and Lamen was too far gone to give orders properly now. With the last of her strength, she uttered: "...Ice... I want some ice..."
Somehow, Donut interpreted that as ice punch.
There was a small chance of freezing the target- that's probably what she wanted, right? With a final effort, he mustered up the meager energy he had left to charge up, and attack.

"Sorry, no can do Lamen!" Luna said, wiping more sweat off her forehead. "Chirper, refresh!"
"BluBlu!" Chirper replied, his body glowing just as the ice brushed past his leg and started to creep up his feathers. Combined with the heat from the field and the glowing from the pokemon's body, the ice melted back into water within seconds.
