I'm recycling this thread for the endangered species being killed each day by internet abuse.
book's got another conflicting issue that i need an opinion on. it's like 140 something pages now, but school's starting so i have less time to write because i can't stay up in my creative hours.
first: can energy be used and solidified or compacted enough to the point someone could use it like an acctual sword/whip/knife? and if so what effect would it have on someone physical body and soul.
second: does using the word s**t seem like a bad thing? i've kept it toned down to crap, damn, b*****d, and pissed off, so i don't really want to get to fowl mouthed.
oh and if you mastered something like pyrokinesis could you use it to super-heat oxygen below you as you jump to make you jump higher since oxygen expands when heated? and if so, how high would you get boosted?
ALSO: lots of the posts on the first page are from the other topic i had posted here. thanks guys, i'm glad you help me. smile

speaking of that, my brother and I have been researching a philosophers stone, and how to make one. Does anybody know about that?

fluffysteel2 a while back there as a topic about telemeres and CDM's or whatever. http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=12091265 that was it i believe. but anyway, if both of those were completely mastered, would you be able to live for an extremely long time? (like, how long if really really long?) would you be able to instantly replace old cells/damaged cells? (still under mastered category) if anyone could answer those for me that would be great. ((((also sorry about the completely random linking of website for video game s**t. desperate for halo3 now that I've got my own 360. would do lots of things for 55 points or halo3 itself. O.o)))) You would probably be able to prolong your life, but it wouldn't be an extreme amount. For example, having the body of a 60 year old when you're 70. And Halo 3? talk2hand Try CoD 4 first.

Well, It depends on your beliefs if you are a alchemist, or satanist you believe you can one day achieve immortality. If id did work by replacing cells wouldn't you become steral because it would fix damaged eggs and or sperm?

Well, It depends on your beliefs if you are a alchemist, or satanist you believe you can one day achieve immortality. If id did work by replacing cells wouldn't you become steral because it would fix damaged eggs and or sperm? How would fixing it make you sterile? confused [WoT WARNING! BIO LESSON AHEAD!] Whenever DNA reproduces, a small part of the strand gets left behind to start the process. So, as time passes, your DNA actually runs out of complete instructions, the cell that it inhabits starts to go on the fritz, and BAM, cancer. In order to prolong your lifespan, then, you'd have to do one of two things: 1.) Completely HALT all replication in your body, essentially freezing yourself in a certain age. Or 2.) Rebuild your DNA from scratch. The problem with the first method is that none of your cells would reproduce, so muscles would deteriorate quickly, healing couldn't take place, and the possibility of sterility. The problem with the second method is that the amount of energy required to rebuild a single strand of DNA would be enormous, the DNA would have to be EXACTLY as is was before "aging", and it would have to take place in every cell in the body. Then there's the final problem that comes with all this: Grey Matter. Assuming that you were able to pull off method 2, the control over your cells would be tenuous at best. Since this requires a great deal of mental power, as soon as your brain starts to go, so does your body. Neurons can't replicate, so once one of them is gone, it's gone. The only way to replace it would be to create an exact duplicate from neural stem cells, but doing so would probably require the concentration that you just lost from the cell anyway. So the only real way to achieve immortality is with an Alchemist's Stone, or by inserting self-replicating nanobots into your body and replacing your brain with a biological computer. xp [/Biology class]

answer - maybe
just try, and practice.
Most people like you who develop ability and still have so many questions usally go on to make there own magick system. Rip reality at its seam, the future is in are misguided hands!

Heating the air under your feet? WHY HAD I NOT THOUGHT OF THAT? Ahaha too much of magick for me to handle.
But using energy as a solid form? I'm heard of constructing psi-balls into like shapes then programming them to float off and maybe bump someone in the head but using it as a weapon? Ahaha, I wouldn't completely count on that...
