Electric Field
The field is completely flat; no bumps or hills can be located. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field on each side are six electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These create a static discharge across the field and in the air itself for one reason: a metal piping that outlines the edges of the field floats several feet above the towers themselves, held up by the discharge. During the battle, the piping can release lightning at random points on the field due to the amount of buildup them possess. This ensures that your pokemon stay moving during throughout the entire battle.

Saspra walked into the arena and immediately felt her hair frizzing. This place was different than the last. It was flat. No bumps no nothing. She sighed as she attempted to keep her hair down. Looking around she spotted no sigh of Luna. They had planed this battle out for ages. It was hard to believe that she could be late.
Saspra reached into her pocket and grabbed out Shadow's ball, ready to start whenever Luna decided to get here.

Luna ran into the thread, Nine following close behind, with one hand clutched onto her trademark straw hat so that it would not fall off her head. Of course, she DID have a string attached to it that coiled around her neck, but Luna constantly forgot about that which usually led to unneeded panic when she realized her hat was not on her head anymore. "E-eeeep, sorry I'm laaaaaaaate!" Luna apologized as she ran up the platform. The trainer clutched the rails as she caught her breath.
Nine, on the other hand, did not follow her trainer into the platform. She jumped right up into the battlefield. The towers of electricity started to buzz and come to life as the battle was about to begin.

Saspra smiled as Luna ran in. "It's no problem. I'll go first if you don't mind~" Saspra said with her Pokeball in hand. She threw it forward and there was a brief red flash before Shadow appeared.
Shadow took one glance at Nine and growled slightly.
Saspra saw him growl and sighed. "Shadow, Confuse Ray!" She cried hoping that the attack would hit.
Shadow snorted and let out a small white glowing ball torwards Nine.

Starting right off with a status move? That didn't bode well for her Ninetales. Well, they would just have to hang on, like they always did. "Nine, let's start this off with an iron tail!" She ordered, knowing that it would have the least amount of chance hurting her ninetales
Nine had, unfortunately, caught sight of the flickering ball of light. The ground became a bit shakey for her and afterimages of objects appeared. But she couldn't let this hinder her. She couldn't stay still. The ninetales dashed towards the vulpix, stumbling a bit from the affects of the confuseray. Her tails glowed white and gave off a metallic shine as she swung around her tails to hit the vulpix and lower its defense.

Saspra watched as Nine attacked herself. She was thankful that the attack hadn't hit Shadow. If it did his defense would go down. "Flamethrower! She ordered to Shadow hoping the Vulpix wouldn't disobey her.
Shadow dodged Nine's attack and watched it backfire on her. He smirked a little and hoped a little ways off then shot out a great blast of fire in the Ninetails' position. As soon as the fire left his mouth he jumped away as a bolt of lightning shot from one of the towers in his direction.

((Status affects do not usually require a roll. But in confusion, you can roll one dice. If it is even, then you hit yourself for 100 HP. If it's odd, your attack goes through. Just did that for your experience ;D ))
Oh drats, confusion. It absolutely failed. "Oh screw it, might as well just plain out attack. Nine, EARTHQUAKE!" Luna ordered.
Nine ignored the fire, nimbly jumping away from it even in confusion. The fire did, however, light up her tails which resulted in very minor damage. Nine then slammed a paw onto the ground, sending a shockwave of energy and rippling open the battle field. Hopefully the broad damage would reach the vulpix.

Saspra was joyed to see the second attack also backfired. The Confuse Ray worked really well. "Come on Shadow, Flamethrower one more time!" She ordered hoping that the attack would be critical.
Shadow jumped up into the air as Nine used Earthquake so it missed him. He opened his mouth and again, let out broad flames towards Nine.

Phew. The confusion was finally over. Perfect. Now they could finally attack. "Nine, use earthquake one more time as well!" Luna ordered her pokemon.
Nine gave a small grunt as her surroundings stabalized. She dashed away from the flamethrowers, only getting partially nicked by it once again. No paim at all. The ninetales turned around to focus on the vulpix, giving it a full out glare as she slammed a tail on the ground.
Shockwaves were sent throughout the whole stadium, concrete slabs were unturned and even some of the electrical towers were bent back by the attack. A huge crack on the ground made its way towards Shadow.
