Graveyard Field!
The stadium ceiling is shut tight in the particular field selection, covering the entire inner area of the stadium in a veil of pure darkness; one that even the Flash technique cannot break through. Grave stones of various types (ranging from crosses to a sculpture of the deceased) were scattered across the lifeless soil; some were still whole while many stood broken and unattended. Near the northern end of the battle field, a single withered tree stands hunched over as though in constant mourning of those who rest for eternity here. A dense fog weaves in and out of the headstones and hinders vision even more. The fog itself seems damp and heavy, like the tears of the living mourning for the lost.

Saspra walked into the stadium slowly. She was shocked to see that the whole arena was practically pitch black. It would take awhile to get her eyes adjusted to this. This was her second battle and she wanted to make it a good one.
Stepping onto the platform slowly she looked around. Her opponent wasn't here yet, or that's what she though. It was so dark that it's hard to tell what was there and what wasn't. Saspra sighed softly and waited to hear the sound of footsteps approaching.

Piney walked up to the stadium, shivering slightly at the field she and Era was going to fight in. She had never fought in a graveyard before, and wished that prehaps she was battling with someone else other than the Swablu who was spooked easily.
No matter. Giving a smile to the trainer across from her, she unclipped the Pokeball from her belt. "Hello there! I remember you from the trip!"
She flung the orb into the air and a bird Pokemon appeared in a flash of red. She fluttered around the arena in tight circles, not wanting to land on a gravestone or something.
"Are you ready for this?"
((Roll a 6-sided dice in your next post. Whoever gets the higher number goes first. ^^))

Saspra looked over across the field and saw glimpses of another trainer. She smiled. "I remember you too!" Saspra yelled across the field. Grabbing her Pokeball she threw it in the darkness and for a second the field lit up with red. Shadow emerged from the Pokeball and Saspra stared over at him.
"Would you like to go first?" Saspra asked as she put the Pokebll back into her pocket.

"Well, ok then." Piney stared down at the Vulpix on the field. She also remembered from the trip, being one of the Pokemon that the wagons stumbled upon and everyone started flinging Pokeballs at him.
"Start out with a Sing attack!"
Era swooped in closer to her opponent and starting singing a soothing melody. She hovered around in circles around his head, to hopefully get a better effect.

Saspra groaned as Shadow fell for the attack and fell asleep. "Shadow." She sighed hoping that he'd wake up soon.
As soon as the melody hit his ears Shadow was out.

It actually worked! Piney would've cheered, but that would have been disrespectful. Instead, she just leaned him closer to examine the battle better. They only had three turns of no damage, so they would have to do as much as they can.
"Use a growl next! Though not too loud or you'll wake him up!"
Era dived in closer and emitted a soft growl. It was audible, but it wasn't scary enough to wake him up or frighten him. The noise was more on the cute side so the Vulpix would be more reluctant to attack her, even if he was sleeping.

Saspra sighed as the Growl attack hit. "Shadow wake up!" She yelled over, but no response came from her sleeping Vulpix. She groaned as she watches Era take an advantage from Shadow's sleeping.

"Ok! Now use Dragon Pulse!" There wasn't much preparation left to do, so Era might as well start attack now. It was a shame that she couldn't learn any water attacks or something else that dealt super effectiveness.
After growling, the Swablu flew up high into the air and breathed in. With a roar that didn't seem possible, coming from such a small Pokemon, waves of energy pulsed through the stadium, most of it directed at Shadow.

Saspra watched the attack hit then she saw Shadow twitch a little. He was waking up soon!

Piney also noticed that the Vulpix was going to wake up soon. Even though they still had the lead, they might not if he gets lucky.
"Another Dragon pulse!"
Era soared closer to the ground, and unleashed another roar and pulse of energy. He was going to wake up on his own soon, so it didn't matter if the attack woke him up now.

Saspra had her eyes practically glued on Shadow as he tiwtched once more and woke up after the Dragon Pulse hit him.
Shadow woke up dazed and feeling hurt. He looked up and instantly spotted Era. He growled then poised himself for an attack.
Saspra eyed Shadow then quickly issued an attack, "Shadow, Confuse Ray!" She yelled hoping the attack would hit Era.
Shadow growled as Saspra made him use such a weak attack. Either way he had to listen to her. He opened his mouth and a blod of white shining light came out.

Piney had to look away for a moment to not become confused by the bright light like her Pokemon did. Turning back to the battlefield, she was glad that the confusion would only last one turn. And now she had an idea...
"Era! Mirror Move!"
And hopefully she wasn't that disoriented and attacked herself.
The Swablu almost fell to the ground, stunned by the dazzling attack. She awkwardly flapped her wings to gain some altitude, and opened her mouth to release the same kind of like Shadow used. Although with her dazed mind, she didn't instantly know how to do it right.

Saspra also averted her gaze as the bright light came from Era as well. "Shadow, counter back with Flamethrower!" She yelled torwards the shape of Shadow.
Shadow twirled for a second then tried to attack with Flamethrower.
