Seeing as it's 30 years into the future, and of course the books never covered things outside of Harry's view of the world, it would be cool to have threads for member-invented bands/stores/products/etc. Of course, to prevent ridiculous things like brooms that can fly to Mars, all suggestions would need Moderator approval, but if we had a list of such things, one for the Muggle world, and one for Wizards, it would allow for more interesting roleplay in my opinion, and make this new world more 'ours'.

Jackie1171 branched off this idea: New, user-created spells. Keep in mind that it will be much harder, even rare, to get our approval for a spell you created. I won't allow any dangerous ones. Or impossibly hard/advanced ones. Keep it simple and realistic (as realistic as magic goes... xD )

Shops & Businesses

Diagon Alley Shops

World Variety: World Variety is a store run by Atticus and Eloy Coyle. The two men are both major travelers, and over the years, they've collected information and objects from all over the world. When they decided to settle down together, they chose to start the store in hopes of keeping connected to the traveling theme. They use their connections with wizards all over the world to keep their store stocked with good items, as well as to get their stock for cheap.
World Variety is a store found in Diagon Alley that sells both rare and common magical objects from all over the world. They sell things ranging from rare potion ingredients that come from animals that only live in certain countries to things as simple as clothes woven from special materals or created in designs common in other counties. Their major specialty is their selection of books on magical rituals, spells, and other such things that are used in other countries and cultures instead of wands.

Hogsmeade Shops

Hogsmeade Quidditch: Morgan Dalca's family owns a Quidditch shop in Hogsmeade.

A.H.C- Auror Help Center : A store dedicated to selling potions, spell books, devices, etc. that can help a potential auror. Ex of Merchandise: A potion that can make an auror undetected by a sneakoscope (don't know if that's possible but its an idea).
Besides unassisted stealth skills that an auror needs this stores merchandise can up the chances of success in an auror's mission. Of course no cheating when it comes to taking the exams.

Alchemist's Workshope: An old store that is run by his mother and him whenever they go to Hogsmeade. There is an abundance of plants for Herbology lovers and alchemists to study or to use. There are also different levels of alchemy and Herbology books and classifications for each type of plant there. There are many books on rare plants and where to find them along with what they do and other such things. The walls are lined with books and there are four rows of the plants and herbs upon entering. There is a rather large jasmine vine growing behind the counter to pay and behind that is the back of the store where they re-stock from. There are mortars and pestles for alchemists and herbologists of all levels that wish to make a type of medicine. There are two large wooden benches at the far end of the shop for creating or trying things with the items you have just bought. There are also an abundance of other alchemy ingredients and items that line the walls underneath the books in dark wooden shelves that have some midevil carvings in them. There are some candles scattered around that are usually lit but that's just for looks. If there's a mysterious object that interests you then feel free to ask about it and we'll do the best we can to help you. The sign on the door always says 'welcome'.

World Wide Shops

Mea ʻono lewa: Kanita Doyle's mother, Nisa, owns a small, seasonal pastry shop that opens every summer and is very popular among the Hawaiian islands. Mea ʻono lewa transaltes into Pastry Heaven.

Unmade Shops

Makoto Landry: Her mother, Airi Landry of Liverpool, runs a small business- Landry Laundry and Housekeeping "Cooking, cleaning, and other everyday chores done in a jiffy for a minimal fee." Owl Post is the preferred method of arranging services, as the Landry household is not connected to the Floo Network.

Antique Arts:
Owned by Ascella Henther's father, Gregory, it is an antique store in Knockturn Alley- 'There are all sorts of muggle, wizard, and magical objects jumbled in the store. It's not the cleanest store, but it is much cleaner than some stores in Knockturn alley.'

Fancy Foliage: Greenhouse and Apothecary is owned and operated by Basil and Constance Scantlebury (Gracie's parents). The small shop, located in a small, seaside village in Wales, specializes in both muggle and magical flora from many different regions, including their medicinal properties and potions uses.

Canen's Broom Repair and Management: This shop is run by Andrew Canen. This is where, obviously, wizards take their brooms if they are broken, or need something changed. Although he doesn't sell brooms, he does take orders, which he places with the Quidditch shop. He has a wide variety of items to purchase for the care of brooms, some that are necessary, and some that are frivilous, but very popular with people who value their brooms.

Spells

Adeelar Morte- creates a large golden eagle that acts as a shield against spells. Last for about five minutes, before turning on the caster and shielding the opponent for five minutes, then returning to the caster. The pattern continues until spell is lifted. Is amazingly useful when fooling around and practicing with friends. (Nina Orusa)

Oculus Verum- Enhances the user's vision, allowing them to view the 'truer nature' of objects and people. With this spell, it is possible to determine the type of spell placed on an object, or the current state of the person, i.e. malevolent, calm, furious, etc. (Lord Illuminatus)

Inducio habitum- Also known as "Lead hold," (Ivalice_Overlord27)
Effect: When the spell is cast it makes the opponent harder to move around. It wears off in about ten to fifteen minutes and has no side effects.
To preform: Thrust your wand forward and say "Inducio Habitum", you also have to think of the heavest thing you've seen which will make the spell have more effect. (Making it even harder for the person to move)

Ariose Vox Vocis - The caster rotates their wrist once counterclockwise, finishing with a gentle flicking motion. This spell causes the target to be able to speak only by singing, and when cast properly generally lasts about an hour. When cast, it appears as a golden mist showered upon the target. (RisikaFox)

v Below RisikaFox came up with incantations for the existing spells v

Auris Velico - Twitchy Ears Hex

Ostendo Sum Genu - Knee-Reversing Hex

Caecus Totus Oculus- Basic Bedazzling Hex

Omnis Autem Mei Oculus Caecus - more advanced version of the Bedazzling Hex, bedazzling all but the caster

Obsto - Revulsion Jinx

Pertingo Minus - Basic Stretching Jinx

Pertingo Ultum - stronger Stretching Jinx

Proditicastigo - Hermione's 'Snitch Jinx'; derived from prodit(treason, betrayal) and castigo(reprove, chasten, punish).

Crucasses - Tripping Hex; derived from crur(leg) and casses(net, trap, spider's web)

Jugisgarrio - Babbling Curse; derived from jugis(continual, perpetual, ceaseless) and garrio(to chatter, babble)

Aertueor - Cushioning Charm; derived from aer(air) and tueor(guard, protect) ((Obviously not a hex, but I was just dying to have an incantation for this one, and it's a rather handy spell to know.))

Nondofelicis - The bad luck hex. Causes the victim of the hex to have moderately bad luck for about a week. From the latin: Give (do) not (non) luck (felicis)

Mefugae - Speed or hover charm. Causes the caster to become faster while moving or hover while still for a few minutes. From the latin: Myself (me) flight (fugae)

ingravesco geminus - Temporarily clones one's self. The clone lasts for about ten minutes and is subject to the will of the creator. You can only use this spell on yourself and can't use it on others and you also can't make it do things that you wouldn't normally do. It has no side effects other than the fact that you feel drained of energy. Also, you can only produce ONE clone.

Occulus Nocturne: Allows the caster to see in the darkest of places, without being given away by the glow of a light. Different from 'lumos' because ONLY the spellcaster's vision improves. It doesn't help those in the company of the spellcaster, but neither does it give him/her away to the enemy.

Goodgegarious: Causes the target of the hex to speak in an unorganized and confusing manner, as if they gave no thought what so ever to what they were saying. A grammar fanatics worst nightmare and particularly annoying to listen to. There is no counter spell. The effects of the hex wear off after 12 hours. Casting consists of a simple upward motion of the wand followed by a jabbing motion at the target, while saying the spell.

'Ebullio sursum'

Discription: This spell makes the victim spout bubbles out of his or her mouth whenever opened. For dueling or for pranks.

Spell: Make a circle with your wand and flick once. Concentrate on the spell and say "Ebullio sursum". The more you concentrate, the longer the spell lasts.

I got the idea from the Whimsic Alley Book of Spells. All the spells in the book were made by real people and sent in to the store to be put in a book. There are so many more, but this one is one of my favorites.

Oh! I can get you the information from the Sorting Hat guild. We had contests for this sort of thing a while back. If you'd like me to, I'll be happy to post all that fun stuff here?

We have products and spells, at the very least.

Morgan's family runs a Quidditch shop in Hogsmeade so I was wondering if I should make a thread for it in there?
If yes, I'll get to work on shop details~

--iWrite: The spell is a good one, but I'd like for all spells and charms to be original and member created. Not discovered in another book, site, ect. Creativity is the key <3

--Slytherclaw: If any of the spells entered in the contest were created by you, thenI'd love to use them for our guild!

--RisikaFox: Accepted. C:

--Fiendfyre: Accepted, but the shop needs a name. And of course you can go ahead an make the thread. <3
