The building that hosts World Variety is small and unnoticeable. It's settled between two larger businesses, and only a few feet away from the entrance to Knockturn Alley. The door inside is painted with a shimmering black, and two yellow slitted eyes are pained just above the tiger-head shaped brass knocker. When one enters, a tiger's roar is heard instead of a bell to alter the owners.

The window is backed with a purple curtain and a collection of crimson pillows host many different examples of the items from inside the store. Most noticeably, in the center, a large fang of unknown origin sits, constantly changing color.

Inside the store, large tables have been set up as well as shelves all over the walls. The space inside the store suggests that a spell has been used to expand the room by magical means. The things found inside are different items found all over the world. The owners of the shop, Atticus and Eloy Coyle, are usually found in their home above the store or in the backroom together, when people aren't inside the store. Both of them use their connections around the world to keep the store stocked.

One entire wall is dedicated to nothing but books. The books are mostly based around the uses of magic in other counties and cultures. Many of them are also based around the more uncommon subjects of magic, such as Alchemy. Rare potion ingredients can also be found in the store for cheaper than most regular potion stores.
