There are songs that we listen to because they sound good or cuz the words are funny, but what about the songs that moved us in whatever way. The ones that made us think? Made us feel?
Anyone got any? they don't need to be Christian, just need to have moved you. An explanation behind the song would be nice too

One song that came to mind for me was Save Us by Cartel

This song amazed me because Cartel is not Christian, yet this is a call out to something bigger out there, asking if it can save us.
I think it's a beautiful song.

The greatest single cause of atheism
in the world today is Christians,
who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door,
and deny Him by their lifestyle.
Ooo Casting Crowns is an amazing band.
I think the lyrics to all their songs are great - that one especially. Have you heard East to West?

Third Day is really good... need to buy they're cds XD This one's The Last Night by Skillet. It's about a person who is depressed and not cared about, and it's God's response to her situation. It's actually based on a teenage girl who was severely depressed and cut because she was suicidal. She told the lead singer her story. So in the song dude is acting the part of God replying to her. (for clarity, I know this because I've been to their concert 3 times, and they explain what the song is about everytime they sing it) It's sung by the 2 lead singers, you should listen to it, it makes more sense that way. The song that has moved my is Your Guardian Angel by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Mostly the first couple lines.
When I see your smile, tears roll down my face. I cant replace; and now that i'm strong i have figured out, that this world turns cold and it breaks through my soul and i know i'll find deep inside me i can be the one... I will never let you fall; I'll stand up with you forever, I'll be there for you through it all, even if savin' you sends me to Heaven... (Thats my favorite part of the song)

hollyannabar @willow - I love all those songs (especially relient k - they rock my socks off <3) I love Relient K. XD Deathbed moved me. A whole bunch. ...especially the wolf part. ....It almost made me cry. ......I don't know why I just said that. .....I'm not gonna post the whole thing cause it's 11 min. & 5 sec. I <3 I am understood, too. I'm listening to it at this very moment.

Those songs are really good smile
I think God talks like crazy through those guys.
There's a song on one of their older albums...I'm not sure what it's called..I should check for that tomorrow (it's so late here ><) and post it up. It's really good (and pretty too!)
I think you'd like it, dragon..just based on the songs you said about lol
