First of all, I would like to apologize for being so inactive latley! Lots of things came up this month and I hardly had any computer time to myself!
This past weekend, my best friend took me to the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, FL *Im suprised we made it, people in Miami dont know how to drive very well!!* It was built from 1910 to 1916 as a WINTER HOME. I wish I knew where this man's PERMANENT home is so I could see what it looks like!!
Unfortunatly, when we arrived, the line to get into the mansion was about a football field and a half long..and the house closed in an hour and a half. Therefore, I can only provide pictures of the inside that I took from their website. We were told it was so long because it was free admission that day and its never like that any other time, so I plan to go again...eventually.
We did go around the house though to view the garden area and I fell so in love with it that I convinced my boyfriend to let me have our wedding their next august C: so yay! and now you will all see why I want to get married here! WEBSITE PICTURESThe Entrance Loggia The East Loggia The Music Room The Guest Room Another Guest Room Breakfast Room Reception Room Tea Room The Secret Garden The Mound *this is the area my wedding is going to take place in!!* MY PICTURES now, normally, Im a photographer. But there were so many people there this day that I just didnt bother to take quality pictures, so please excuse my crude snapshots.Front of the House Side of the House Balcony overlooking the bay Stone Barge in the bay Stone Barge in the bay 2 Gazebo by the bay Swimming Pool Back of the House The Mound Statues lining the garden Back staircase leading up to the Casino area of The Mound The Casino The Casino Ceiling Trees More Trees! Front Stairs to Casino Secret Garden *not much of a secret, huh?* Secret Garden Bench and um..thats all I have for now! Hope you all enjoyed it! C:

I want to get engaged just so I could have a wedding there! Although I could just go see it and that would work too. xd

What a beautiful home. Yes, if I were to get married again, that is one place I would like to have my wedding at. (I also noticed a bride in one of your pics.)
I've been to Miami, but only on my way from the airport to Key Biscayne. Yes, they are crazy drivers, but so far Chicago beats anywere I've been.
