What time of day do you write the best? Or what gets your creative juices flowing?

Personally, at night once my parents are asleep I can write to the best of my ability. It just seems to all come to me and I can write away!

Or when I am listening to one of my favorite songs, ideas just POP right into my head!!

:O What about you guys and gals?
-I hope this kind of thing wasn't posted already-

Any time really. Recently during the ad breaks on TV, which surprised me somewhat.

Inspiration and plot outlines are generally deal with at 4am or whilst driving to work 20-30 mins of spacing out is good biggrin

I used to be able to write most anywhere, at any time.

But, now that I have a schedule, I do most of my writing.

-After dinner
-After it gets dark
-On my laptop
-In 30 minute or so shots interrupted by long periods of pacing.

I've lost weight doing this, really. It's pretty fab XD.

I wake up at four in the morning to do my writing.

The stress of the day hasn't set in yet, it's like waking up with a blank mind. If I have a dream, it usually gets the creative juices flowing, but I rarely dream (that I remember). I wake up, drink my bazi, do my morning kick workout (20 pump wheel kicks on each leg!) and then plop myself down in front of my computer.

These are the things I'm forbidden to do until nine in the morning:
-use the internet (other then dictionary.com)
-check e-mail or regular mail.
-write in my journal.
-make or answer phone calls.
-play any sort of games.
-take my dog for a walk.

The thing is, four in the morning it quiet, especially when you've just woken up. When writing is the first thing I truly concentrate on in the morning, it just flows like no other time. Plus, it's great time-management, because then I don't write for the rest of the day, and I don't have the urge two, I've written for five hours straight without interruption already! xd

And that's when I write.

That's how I work as well. Though, the pacing is sometimes interrupted by myself randomly acting out my scenes. This involved a couch with a the word troll taped to it and a broom... sweatdrop

I always do better action scenes when I walk through them.

Haha, Hemlock, that would be funny to watch.

I write whenever I'm not tired.

Seeing as I get my energy at night, that's when I write best. I mean, I'm freakin nocturnal really, so anywhere from 10pm-6m is when I write best.

IF I'm forced to be on a like, 'regular' daytime schedule, then I get that burst of writing in the morning, as soon as I wake up. I don't understand why... I guess because otherwise, the later on it gets in the day the more tired I get. So all at once in the morning.

But yeah, usually it's way late at night, to early morning. I write best then. 3nodding

Late night/early morning, when I'm normally sleeping. That's my best time to do pretty much anything.

I really should go nocturnal.

Usually at night...like, I don't know...4 or 5 o'clock. Late afternoon, kind of, close to night. I'm on my laptop for like 2 hours, online or writing. At night, like 8 or 9 o'clock I write until 11 in my journal. So, I like writing at night. In the day I can't write well.

Someday, they'll invent a way for us not to sleep!

I talk to myself a lot when writing dialog. I find it comes out more natural that way. Used to be I would carry on with my sister or my mentor, but now I'm someone's mentor and my sister works screwy hours at a hospital in another state. razz

I also laugh at my own jokes because I am a bad person sweatdrop .

I reeeally need to discipline myself with writing time more. ^_^ Right now though, I write best late at night. I just have trouble focusing in the full glare of afternoon, it's just not a good time.

I tend to do most of my writing either waiting for the bus or travelling with a bus. Last year, I wrote a whole novel while going to and from work. The bus ride was one hour each way, and I worked 5 days a week.
Writing in the middle of a boring lecture in school usually works, too.

I used to do that all the time in high school, and yes, college as well. And it's great, because it can actually look like you're taking notes down. ...Just don't get caught.
