 A field of flowers that created the ideal perfect place only made annoyance sprout inside his agitated body. Alik needed a nap, desperately so, or he would get grumpy, very grumpy. As the day wore on it would seem that his nap would never come, ever since he had happened upon an earthen rainbow that held petals and tulips. Flowers were nice, but bright and much too happy for his sullen mood. As Alik walked he even tried avoiding the flowers, sidestepping them and planting his hooves in the grass that surrounded their stems. Just because he didn’t like them didn’t mean he was going to kill them all. Besides, that would take way to much time and effort.
Even though he didn’t want to sleep there, he attempted it, without success. Whenever he had closed his eyes a bee happened to fly by his ear, awakening him. Even counting blasted sheep hadn’t helped! Doesn’t matter that counting sheep had never worked before, it was always worth a try. Today it would seem was to be a day when all things bad could happen, even in such a happy place as a flower field. Oh joy.

 Cissia was in a wonderful mood. She'd accidently stumbled upon the feild of flowers and was currently galloping through them. She seemed to have an endless amount of energy as she pranced about through the fragrant blossoms. They were beautiful, but she was a far more beautiful blossom in this field than anything else, and she knew it.
After a few rounds of prancing and jumping around, she paused, her dark mane shimmering healithly as she came to a stop, hanging down one side. She flicked her tail as she spotted the male. He was handsome, but she was still a prettier view. Regardless, she trotted over. "Hello."

Opening one golden eye he gazed at the beauty before him who had an arrogant air about her. Slowly letting the other eye open he raised an eyebrow at her. He rubbed his foot in the dirt, not a flower, and answered, “Hi.” He answered in a drawled out manner, voicing his boredom. On Alik’s face was a blank stare, showing how tired he really was.
She was dark like the night sky and had strange markings around her hooves and on her body. “Who are you?” He asked in the same tone, no beating around any bushes for him. He didn’t know if he really cared at her answer, but he thought it polite just to ask. It might be a new friend he was making, or merely an acquaintance, but either way he would soon find out her name. She seemed to be a bit…into herself, and that was just from looking at her for a few minutes. Lets see what happens.

Cissia giggled a little, her ear flickering as the male looked her over a bit; yeah, she knew she was something gorgeous. "I'm Cissia. Won't you grace a beautiful mare like myself with your name?"
Now that she was closer, she was taking in the male seriously. He was larger than her, but as were most males; the only exceptions being those cute little ponies, the Usdias. Her tail easily flicked away a bee that decided to inspect the rose image on her hide; she didn't like bees, they sung and that always hurt really badly.

Oh yeah, this one was so full of herself it might have been amazing. It was always the same with these kinds of mares, beautiful on the outside, which she was, but not so beautiful on the inside, to be determined. “Beautiful indeed.” He shook out his mane, making her wait another full minute, before he decided to answer. “My name is Alik, Alik Elric. Pleased to meet you Cissia.”
His tail snapped back and forth. “And why are you here today in this field filled with flowers, Cissia?” he asked, trying to make some sort of conversation. Maybe she could prove him wrong by not being all about herself like he thought she might be. Alik always hoped for the better in soquili, but he was usually disappointed.

Cissia tossed her head a bit to flick some of the hair of her mane, her ego feeding a bit off of the agreement that Alik had given her. "I bet you are pleased to meet me!" She smiled brightly, giving another happy giggle. "But, it's also nice to be meeting you as well."
Her tail swished as he asked her what she was doing in the field of flowers. "Oh, simply putting the blossoms to shame! Though, to their credit, they do smell lovely when they've just begun to bloom... How about yourself? Certainly you can't be sleeping on a day such as this!"

Whatever hope Alik had slowly melted away but he still put a smile on his face. She was pretty enough, he supposed, to be able to be so full of herself. And she did put most of the flowers to shame except for a small few, those he liked a lot better. At her comment on being sleepy he simply replied with a nod. “Yes, I was trying to sleep, but it would seem that sleep has eluded me today.”
His ear flicked in the direction to where a bee had just landed on a delicate yellow flower, draining it of what nectar it could. Looking at the bee, he didn’t really fear them you see, he leaned down towards it. The scents of all the blooming flowers that his nose was getting closer to bombarded his nostrils and he sneezed. His head shook with the force of it, and he lifted his head, eyes blinking and a sheepish smile on his face. “Uh, oops? Sorry bout that.” Earlier he had been lying down in the flowers, and now his nose had to rebel, how annoying.

Cissia lightly stepped her from hooves in place, getting a little antsy. If the Alik couldn't sleep, then that would mean that he'd be able to hang out and goof off. Her tail swished a little restlessly and a mischevious grin crossed her face. "Well, if you can't sleep, then what are you laying around here for?!" She did her best to bite back a giggle when he sneezed. "Let's get up and go do something! Days like these are too rare to let slide by."

Did he give off the impression that he wanted to live his life and play around like he used to when he was a small colt? Because that was not really the feel he was going for. She seemed like one of those mares that still thought themselves to be fillies, always wanting to play and stuff. Well, when he was a foal he thought himself already an adult, so he was way ahead of the game. But he would play, if only to amuse himself. “There are plenty of days like this, but I suppose that I can do something this one time.” He rolled his eyes and gave her a charming smile.

The smile from Alik brightened Cissia's mood as well and she felt even more energetic. She danced a little in anticipation as Alik got up, giggling excitedly and feeling like she was a foal again.
"So I was thinking that we should go exploring. I have this really strong craving for fruit, so maybe we could look for something like a berry bush or a fruit tree!" She flicked her tail a little. "But, that's only if we don't have to go into the woods..." She didn't like going into the trees like she did what she was a foal; the low brush now tangled and pulled her mane and tail and she hated not being able to get out half of what would get stuck in her mane.

She sure was picky, wasn’t she? But he didn’t mind. “Lead the way, you proposed the idea and therefore you can take the commanding position.” The forest was a bit a ways off, they were literally now in the middle of the field, and he did not mind were she went. This was merely a distraction for him, to keep him awake and semi-alert, and of course that was the possibility of becoming friends with her.
The grass moved with what little breeze that swept through the field and the scent of flower hit his nose and he felt the urge to sneeze. He was adverse to the idea, wasn’t one sneeze enough for the day, but it would seem that was fate was indeed a cruel mistress as he felt the sneeze begin he held his breath and pushed it down. Alik was sure that he had made a funny face, but he could only hope she did not notice. With his unknown luck, it was pretty much impossible. The sneeze would return he knew, but hopefully when she was not around.

Cissia had started to walk off when she'd heard the sneeze. Her ears flickered and and she looked back and then bit her lip, trying her hardest not to burst out laughing. Unfortunately, she didn't have much self control and laughter escaped her as she looked at the funny face he'd made.
Regaining herself, her sides aching a little from having laughed so much, she shook her mane out a bit, grinning charmingly to him. "Feeling a little better?" She teased him lightly.

The breath that he was still holding blew out when she asked her question. Looking at her, he nodded his head and gave a small smile. “I’m fine, it’s all good.” And then it happened. The stupid sneeze was upon him, a sneak attack sneeze, and his head moved back, then forward with vehemence that was the sneeze. In the aftermath of the sneeze, Alik was still reeling from the force of it and was blinking repeatedly.
And embarrassed flush spread across his face when his brain finally realized what had happened and he peered over at her, knowing that she would probably be laughing her head off now. He gave a small embarrassed smile and willed his blush away. No luck whatsoever.

Cissia's cheeks puffed out a little as she tried to hold back more laughter; his sneeze had almost knocked the poor guy off of his feet. "Why don't we get out of the flowers for a while." She suggested, giggling a little, her eyes scrunched up in laughter. She'd heard of things like this; how the smell of flowers could cause some to start sneezing and sometimes get really bad head hurts.
She looked around, wondering where the flowers ended, and realized that the only escape would be through the trees. 'Greeeeeat, trees...' she thought bitterly, not happy, but knowing that it'll probably be the only solution.

Alik quickly nodded his head, being anywhere but this field was far more appealing. He didn’t know why, but often when he was around flowers, sneezes overtook his body and would continue until he left.
He saw her give a glare at the trees and he tilted his head. “You, don’t like trees?” It was really the only way to get out of the field and over towards the ocean. It was very odd. Was it even possible to have a phobia for trees?...Probably.
