So, this is my journal eh? Cool.
Well let me begin by telling you a wee bit about myself:
My name is Becca, but you can call me either Psy or Shy. I'm 13 years old and I am a Capricorn, meaning I'm a leader. I was born a writer and a music lover. Other than my writing goals, one of my Goals is too pass math class with at least a B+ average and learn to play piano.
But this is a guild for writing.
So let me tell you about my writing skills.
I write anything that comes to mind. Be it Fantasy to romance, drama to action, I'll write it. I get writers block. A lot. So, I may put off writing for months at a time. That's bad, I know. But when I do get an idea, it's good for me.
My current story? I'll give you an inside look:
It's a story about an Alchemist and a Sorcerer. One is male and one is female. They're forced to work together to save the world.
The Characters are:
Lucy (The Alchemist)
David (The Sorcerer)
Morgona (The Bad Guy)
Bape (Henchman One)
Trixie (Henchman Two)
Damian (The Imp)
And the other creatures out there.
I'll update more as soon as I figure out everything! The title is still unkown and suggestions are welcomed. I also love tips and tricks for writing.

Welcome aboard!
Lucy is a GREAT name for an alchemist. Trixie looks a wee it out of place among the other names, but you could tell a really great story about how an evil henchperson ended up with that for a name, should you desire to do so ^^.
I like your willingness to try new genres! wink

[Thank you both for posting! It's nice to be in a new guild. An thank you Lt for the mistake in my title. I was tired. And yes, I am in eastern time. biggrin ]
So, I've written about another 100 for the my story, but I still have no idea how to introduce David to Lucy. I want Lucy to be a strong, independent women who thinks she can save the world on her own, and David should be a wise cracking kinda guy that always knows what to say.
But, here's my problem:
How do I do so?
I have two options in mind:
One: She gets a letter from the Head Elder and his council of Elemental Gods. She goes, learns the world is in danger and meets David.
Two: Lucy sits quietly in her reading room, reading of course, when a messenger sends for her and takes her back to his master by portal. The Head Elder tells her about the danger that the world is in and says she needs a partner and then that's when David would come in.
Suggestions? Oh, and I have a goal now! My goal is to finish at least 5 chapters of my story before August 26th, the day I go back to school. My writing schedule may be a wee bit messed up becasue I write mostly at night. I have no idea how that will work.
If I write out both beginnings to the story would you guys like to read it and maybe edit them for me? It would be nice, maybe a little critique could be thrown in too. I'd edit your work back if you'd like!

I'm not sure exactly how your plot is supposed to progress, BUT.
1) Lucy discovers something odd. No one believes her that it is a big deal. She goes to investigate on her own.
2) David discovers something odd. No one believes him that it is a big deal. He goes to investigate on her own. Lucy is already there!

Hmm... it could work...
Thank you for the idea! I'll write that option out too.
Anyway, as I sit here munching on dark chocolate M&Ms and drinking the last can of twist up, I realized something.
I have no back story for Lucy and David. I'm focusing more on my villains that I am my heroes. I think I'm doing it beacause most people tend to fall for the villains and not the heroes.
I'm in the process of researching more on Alchemy so I can make Lucy seem as alive as possible. And David seems to be simple to create. David is kind of like Harry Potter, without the angsty past and and wand and scar and nerdy BFF and loser BFF.
Oh and to saint savin: I'm currently writing out a story for Bape and Trixie. It tells about how they came to be and why they seem so dull and bored all the time. I'll post it in a fourm later.
And I'm sorry for not posting in the other forums much. I've been spending my time working and at my Aunt's house. I'll be more active, I swear!

Hi hi.
Can I make one small suggestion? Change the name of the bad guy, I keep reading Morgana as in the sorceress of Merlin and Arthur.. and I don't think you want people to think that.
Good luck with the writing.. and if I can get myself motivated, I'll try to give an honest opinion of your work when you post it. (no grammatical help, you want someone who understands that stuff, not me)

Don't worry about not being super-active in the guild; I'm routinely gone from here for days at a time, and I'm a mod.
Granted, I was also in a place without internet for a week, but that doesn't count.
Just drop in when you can, tell people about us if the oppourtunity arrives, and have fun.

I love Villains! Cor, Sephiroth is my favourite though whee
But the heros are kinda of as important so don't focus everything on the baddie xD Well, anything it better than Harry Potter to be honest. If you put half effort in you can get something better than that series.
So keep up the good work!

This isn't an 'all day, every day' guild. Besides, we enjoy chatting with you here biggrin .
I can't wait to find out why Trixie is named Trixie.
Backstory is good, just don't let it eat the main plot! I used to have that happen a lot, and now I hate writing backstory. Don't end up like me.
