Welcome to the Quechua General Discussion! This is where we discuss everything related to the Quechua language, including, but not limited to:
-asking specific questions about Quechua vocabulary and grammar (people who can speak Quechua fluently can help answer others' questions) -recommendations for Quechua dictionaries, websites, etc -and everything else about the beautiful language of Bolivia and Peru!
Please note that although speaking in Quechua is allowed here, it is not mandatory.
Let's start off with a few facts about the Quechua language:
Spoken in: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Region: Andes
Total number of speakers: 10.4 million
Language Family: Quechuan
Regulated by: Academia Mayor de la Lengua Quechua

Doppelgaanger You said Portuguese grammar and vocabulary...? Oh yeah, because Quechuans know Portuguese really well, especially from those Brazillians. ninja (Sarcasm) Thanks for catching that! biggrin

Often people find Quechua is easier because unlike Spanish it has no irregular verbs, no irregular nouns, no irregular adjectives, no gender, and no adjective agreements ^_^
I've been doing LIGHT Quechua lessons
Some examples of what i've learned XD
* I eat / yo como - - Noqa mikhuni
* We talk / hablamos - - Parlancheq
* Blue/azul - - Anqas
* Here/aqui - - Kayllapi

If it's not too much, could you post up a short list of verbs conjugated in the present tense? I want to see how they're all conjugated. 3nodding
Also, does Quechua have inclusive and exclusive "we"? eek
