He was merely known as The Messenger. Or Bob. Or Fred. Or that-maniac-that-causes-panic-attacks. Or that-motorcyclist guy. Or whatever he introduced himself as really.

The Messenger was not just a messenger. Nope. He had to organize all this information sometimes to figure out what to do anyway. He worked hard, and--well, throwing bricks through windows or putting spiders in mailboxes helped relieved him as tension.

Laughter was the best medicine, after all, and maybe it would save him from the endless headaches and promised ulcers that a job at the NSA promised.

Uuugghhh--- Ok, well, here was one red case that actually seemed like an honest red. She turned into mist? Hehehehe---Oh, the bad pick up lines he could think of!!

So Bad Boy Bob the Messenger hiked himself onto a motorcycle and blasted his way out for another drive to go find another person. Today he decided to go as one of the Four Horsemen. Leather somehow dyed a deep, deep red with fire emblems, scythes, and bones.

He always liked how administrative teams reacted to him when he didn't look like either a superhero or a business man. It was even funnier when he put on his super-intelligent voice. All the most evil villains in the movies had that type of voice.

Some maneuvering later, Mr. Rider was being introduced to Gwen for the first time.

"Good afternoon, young lady, I understand you're on a waiting list for some special training due to complicated powers?"

How he hated having to be formal and polite despite his most inner desires.

Guinevere shifted uncomfortably in her chair. This guy definitely didn't look like someone who would help her get to the people who would help her get to be a superhero so she could help other people. In fact, what he looked like was a weirdo, so she had to wonder if the rest of the people at the NSA were all weirdos too.

But her mother had told her that no matter what happened, she had to be polite. So she would try her best. It was hard to not look utterly confused and creeped out, though, with the Grim Reaper Biker Dude in front of her, talking to her as if they were having a completely normal conversation between two completely normal people.

She nodded in reply to his question. "Yeah... I guess so. I don't really understand it, though, I just wanted to hone my powers so that I don't kill myself trying to use them, but my trainer told me that I would probably be better off at some NSA or something. What does that stand for, by the way? 'NSA'?"

Mr. Rider took off his jacket, placing it carefully on the seat he was to take. Underneath he had on a tan casual dress shirt that almost looked professional with the leather pants. As he did so, he shot a look Guinevere wouldn't be able to see to the administrator that had come in with him. "They haven't told you much, have they?" He asked.

He now turned around and sat down, "The NSA is the official training program of the United States, standing for National Superhero Agency. Technically, every school program is a part of the NSA, though you've been recommended to take part of a more core program," He gave her a smirk with a small shrug, "Some of us are just that much cooler; or, if you prefer, some of us just have powers that are that much more frightening. Mr. Keller has informed me that your powers are can possibly be self-harming?"

"I didn't say--" the administrator tried protesting, but now Mr. Rider definitely gave him a disapproving look that Guinevere could see. But Mr. Rider wasn't the only one giving looks. The other man, Mr. Keller, was a kind, counselor-type, positive reinforcement type who didn't approve of the approach at all. Any interaction he'd had with Guinevere before now would have been sugar coated.

Mr. Rider opened a file, "I have that written specifically here, and it isn't in my handwriting." He shrugged again, "Along with the comment that your powers are diverse and that the school in unaccustomed to and unprepared to aid Miss Duponts abilities." He was clearly reading it directly. He looked up at Guinevere with one of his half smirks, "The NSA has trained Flashcharge when he couldn't control his abilities. We could help you."

That last comment had Mr. Keller looking a little impressed. No one wanted to go near Flashcharge and his destructive abilities even as the very controlled, extremely popular top Super. Who could imagine him as an uncontrolled teenager?

"So, Miss. Dupont, how would you like the NSA to serve you?"

Mr. Rider ruined his near perfect professionalism then by leaning back and putting his arms behind his head while he awaited an answer.

Gwen's eyes narrowed slightly as Mr. Rider told her things she may never have gotten from the administrator. She didn't like the adults who thought that she was too young to understand things or she was too delicate to know stuff or other reasons for not informing her that she just considered excuses. Excuses for what, she wasn't really sure, but hey, annoyance didn't have to be logical.

She still thought the other guy was a weirdo, but a cool weirdo now, since he seemed to be pretty straightforward with her. When he spoke of Flashcharge a smile slowly spread across her face. "Do you think... I could train to be a superhero, too?" she ventured. "Would I have to move or something to get to an NSA building, or is there one in California? Would I be training with others like me?"

Normally she would have felt a bit odd asking so many questions, but hey, if this guy answered them all that would be great. She always did like learning things, although quite often her school teachers would end up 'politely' quieting her after she asked fifty questions in a row. But what else was she to do if she wanted to understand something better?

As Mr. Rider took a more relaxed position, Gwen grew a bit less tense in her chair as well. Her mind wandered just a tad as she wondered if, since he was with the NSA, he had any powers, and what they could be. Or maybe he was just a regular guy who wanted to look... out of the ordinary... to make people like Mr. Keller nervous.

Mr. Rider returned her smile, though it was with a glint a conspiratorial glint, "If you wanna be a super, we'll train ya to be a super." He said, dropping a little into the speech pattern he was more accustomed to.

He shook his head a bit, "You don't have to move. You will need to be able to easily travel to the location we have developed for your particular abilities. Training is done both in person and through a sort of hologram program. When you are not in school, you are welcome to relocate to the head agency for your vacations, but it is not required. Of course, you can relocate and live at the agency or another establishment if you feel safer. It is all up to you. The only time we require anyone to relocate is if they prove to have a an extremely uncontrolled power that is harmful to themselves and others. Looks to me you have things under control," He winked. "'Course, to be official and all, we'll have to go to one of the training rooms here so I can see what you do."

Guinevere nodded as she took in everything he was telling her. "Official, yeah, that sounds good. Should we do that now, then?" Her leg muscles tensed, ready to stand if he affirmed that they were going right then.

She was curious as to what she would have to do to show him her power. Would he just make her do something easy, or would he test her limits? If it was the latter she was okay with that, he seemed to know what he was doing, but she really had no idea what her limits were (Mr. Keller never let her get near that far) and she wasn't sure she wanted to know here. She could turn into mist pretty well, though, as well as some of the simple trace elements in the atmosphere. And if she really, really tried, she could even turn into scalding steam, but raising your temperature as water vapor was not a comfortable experience, and she could only hold it for a second or two.

"That sounds like a good plan to me. Mr. Keller, if you would lead the way." Mr. Rider stood with the girl's suggestion, picking up his jacket as he did so.

Mr. Keller opened his mouth to protest, but then frowned and turned to do just that. This was an expert, supposedly--he doubted it--and he would do what an expert was meant to do. Still, he did not like the man at all.

It took no time to get to the room Guinvere by now had already been introduced to. Mr. Rider asked Mr. Keller to wait outside, and slapped his jacked down on the floor as he looked around with a slight frown. "Ok, Guinevere, can you call your powers on command, or do you usually need a stimulus... ?" He assumed it was the former, as she appeared confident enough to him.

OOC: Your next post, if she can just call it on her own, can be his agreeing to it and her doing whatever it is she's able to at this stage. =) If you want to grab Mr. Rider for a couple of lines to help you post, go for it!

Gwen nodded her head. "I can do it on command, pretty much. Well... here goes."

She closed her eyes as the now-familiar feeling of turning into water vapor washed over her. It tickled a little bit as her molecules began to vibrate faster and faster and her form went from a solid to a gas. As usual, she felt a bit light-headed, but she could still concentrate well enough. She had generally been a level-headed girl, so it wasn't too bad for her, but she didn't even want to think about her power in the hands of some of the girls at her school. If those airheads literally became airheads, they would probably never be able to put themselves back together again.

Her clothes fell to the ground, but though slightly embarrassing, it wasn't like Gwen had to be worried about anything being seen. Now pretty much translucent, she was little more than a human-sized cloud of fog. Communications weren't really possible since she currently had no vocal chords, so she couldn't ask what else he might want to see.

She decided that she might as well show what she could do when water vapor, at least, then maybe re-form into a solid and turn into some other gaseous substance. As she was, she moved her cloud self around the room a bit, then proceeded to float up toward the ceiling, then down so that she spread out across a patch of ground, looking like the mist from dry ice at a party.

But now she was getting tired, and she definitely did not want to get too fatigued as a gas, because she had no idea what would happen if she couldn't turn back. So floating over to her clothes, she slowed her molecules as she re-formed her limbs and such into the sleeves and legs and shoes. Finally, she had become a solid body again, and though the light-headedness was gone, the feeling of fatigue still lingered.

"Was that enough?" she asked politely. "I can also turn into nitrogen gas... but I don't think I can right now, I'm starting to get kinda tired out. If I need to I can do it a bit later, though."

(I can't believe it took so long, I'm sorry. T___T The combination of school, homework, other roleplays, and not sure what to do next killed me. XP But I recently watched Hellboy 2, and I think that helped a lot. XD;; But yeah, I'm ashamed it took me almost four months to reply. gonk )
