I have seen both versions. I would have to say that i love the jap. version better then the english version. the jap. version was the first one i saw so i guess i grew attach to their voices. Also when i watched the english version, there was quite a bit of parts taken out, which i think they should have left them in.

I'm biased toward the English dubs 'cause I grew up with them.
I actually really like all of the voices selected for the main characters.
The Sailor Senshi each have an easily discernable voice,
so it's very easy for a young viewer (which I was) to tell who's talking even from off-screen.
Also, the music.
Not just "Fighting evil by moonlight/Winning love by daylight/etcetera,"
but the music that replaces the senshi's transformation scenes and everything.
When I first saw a Japanese episode and heard the "Seila Muuun~~ Ooohlooolooodooloo~~ etcetera"
I was like "OMG WHUT IS THIS"
It was just weird.
The english transformation bgm is so sparkly and pretty.
xd
So my vote goes for the English version, no room for doubt.
(Disclaimer: I don't mean to "dis" the original Japanese voices/music in any way,
everything presented here is my personal opinion and nothing more.)

i also choose the jap version for 3 reasons:
1: im jap <3
2: the english version changes some of the words
3: jap is the original

ive seen more of the american version i think its like more appropriate the japanese version has lesbians O_O

Japanese, definitely. I've seen both, but now that I've seen the Japanese, I can't stand to watch the dub. They ruined everything. In my opinion, the voices are annoying and some don't even fit the characters - Luna isn't supposed to sound like an old lady - and they took so much out of it that parts don't even make sense anymore. It was originally supposed to be more for teenagers, but they tried to make it into a little kids' show. They took out whole episodes, and they never even dubbed season five, even though without it you never find out what happened with Nehellennia in season four.

The Japaneses version is much better than the dubbed version. Usagi is smarter, and not so immature. The scenes the English version cut out took a lot of the storyline away, or downplayed dramatic parts to make it easier on children. Now, if they never would have made the dub I never would have seen Sailor Moon and never really would have gotten into anime. So, even though it could have been MUCH better, thank you dubbing people.

I would have to go witth the Japanese version because the characters have a better relationsip in that version!!!!

lol. maybe only you have the guts. XD well, i must say that the jap is original and the way the author actually wants it to be. when the peoples dubbed it, it changed and the dubbed version isnt exactly the original Sailor Moon

I grew up with the english dubs. I recently bought all the seasons and thought I'd watch them in english and I quickly changed it to japanese. The english dubs are horrible!

Personally I like the original myself. At the same time, when you think about it, I liked the Dubs -voices- (with the exception of Luna) up until the Super season where I can't STAND Usagi's voice.
I didn't like the voice selected for Haruka. IT sounded like she has a cold. And I'm iffy about Chibiusa's and Pluto's voice.
However, Hotaru and Michiru's voices are fine as are most of the others.
I think the voice for Helios was perfect really. It was dreamy. Dunno about Nehellenia's. Zirconia's sucked majorly. It's an OLD Woman. ~~; Why the gender change? He was wearing Lipstick. -.-; Seriously...
*Ahem.* Thus ends my rant.
However, I also prefer manga over anime. (Musicals over anime. PGSM over anime.) >>;

I have seen the english dubbed of the show while growing up but when I watched season 5 in Japanese I liked it better. So I actually like the show both in english and Japanese.
