My name is Brightshadow. My limited freinds here in Namiah call me Brish, but where I come from-SilverClan- my name, my full name, signifies that I am a Warrior. Namiah here is nice, but it is not my home. Unfortunately I have no clue where my home is right now. Well, actually, I have no clue where I am... See, I know every rock, tree, stream, and even shadow of my home. And when I woke up in the forest on this strange island, I knew immediately that it wasn't home...

`~Before I Left~`
Firstly, I come from a Clan invented by my owner, Neko, and her freind, Xia, based off of the book series Warriors. If you know the series you may be able to understand this journal a little better. Here is the list of Cats in my Clan(And the person who invented them):
Leader: Vinestar (Xia) Deputy: Thunderheart (Neko) Medicine cat: Oakpelt (Xia) ...Apprentice: Mosspaw (Neko) Warriors and Apprentices: Brambleleaf (Neko) ...Nightpaw (Xia) Pineclaw (Xia) ...Lightningpaw (Neko) Bobtail (Neko) ...Batpaw (Xia) Wheatcloud (Xia) Windstream (Neko) Queens: Robinwing (Xia) Kits: Lionkit (Neko) Junglekit (Neko) Streamkit (Xia) Elders: Lightfoot (Neko) Rockfoot (Xia) Loners: Pocket (Neko) Alley (Xia)
There's not much to say about the before; only a few details about the camp. The first thing is, as Warriors, we follow the Warrior Code with our lives. Then comes the description of our Camp. Our whole Camp is half surrounded by a giant rock pile formed naturally out of a rockslide from when the river was large enough to flood, now it snakes its way through a ravine cut into the earth. The leader makes her den about halfway up the side of the rock pile. The Elders' den is in a large hollowed out tree that was dragged into camp a few seasons back. The Medicine cat makes his den in the tangled roots of the tree, while the Nursery(where the Queens and their kits stay) is in the old branches, the gaps filled in with gorse, bramble, and moss to make sure it's protected. The Warriors' den is inbetween two large rocks stacked against eachother, with the Apprentice's den in a bush that had been growing next to the entrance of the Warriors' den. The rest of the Camp that isn't surrounded by the rock pile is surrounded by more brambles, gorse, and prickly ash that we dragged in from the forest around us. We hunt for the Clan, patrol our borders, protect the Clan when faced with a battle, train Apprentices, and in general take care of our young, Queens, and Elders.
Continueing things about the Clan: Fights between Brightshadow and her sister, Brambleleaf, about Brightshadow's overwhelming love to go out and explore the night instead of focusing on the Clan. Windstream and Wheatcloud's overwhelming need to compete with eachother. The oldest kits becoming Apprentices in another day. The arrival of kits from Robinwing and Thunderheart. Vinestar has taken in a strange cat that comes from across the River's Ridge who was blown here in a tornado, we found him injured and, unable to turn away a cat in need, let him stay with us until his wounds healed.

`~My Arrival Here~`
When I awoke I was utterly confused. This was not home and Brambleleaf was not here. I wasn't too worried about Brambleleaf, she can take care of herself, and if she wasn't here then she was probably still with the Clan. Which gets back to the problem that I wasn't. I got up and discovered that I had become like the Twolegs we in the Clan had despised. The Twolegs who drove monsters and killed and captured cats, some cats even who I had known personally. And now I was like those mousebrained beings! For a long time I did nothing, beleiving this to be a dream and that I was just delusional from being hit on the head from the rocks. Sometimes I had thought that I had died and as punishment for failing to protect the Clan I had been turned into a Twoleg. But after days had gone by and I was growing faint and pained from hunger I realized that it was undoubtably real. I hunted, I ate, I despaired. For a long time I didn't try to search out any of the beings that might live in this place or try to find any way back. How could I, somehow turned into one of the very beings that I had despised? It wasn't long until after I had decided to try and meet the natives that I found them. A very hyper and bouncy one named Chaos, a more calm and collected Treasure, and a bit later a very hyper Namrah by the name of Pandora who decided to give me the nickname 'Brish'. I had come to accept the land I had somehow turned up in, but not that I was going to be staying there.

`~The Loss of my Home Base~`
After meeting the other Namrah, as I learned they were called, and befreinding one, I learned I could make enemies of them, too. I had established a home base, a place from which I could return to each day until I had mapped out the land enough to not become lost. My home base was a tree, a place that I could climb into and not be disturbed by the noise and excitement of the Namrah in the forest while I plotted to find a way home. A few days later I met a Namrah named Faite; it wasn't a pleasant meeting, and I didn't meet her because I wanted to. I met her because she was sitting on my branch in my homebase and sleeping all over the plans I had scratched into the bark of the tree. In the end after arguing with her for a good long while I called her a mousebrain and she got mad. Oh, I had joy in knowing that it only took a name to make her mad, but it was short lived. After that incident I discovered that this place was an island; no getting in, no getting off. Unless you could swim, and swim beyond the horizon. So I gave up my homebase, utterly defeated in both that respect and the thought I had about ever leaving the island. I didn't return to the base, or even to the other Namrah. Instead I have been wandering through the forest, trying to come up with a plan to get away.

`~Meeting Another of a Clan~`
After losing my home base I met three other Namrah; Jinx, Rave, and Nuo. Jinx and I met and then we both met Rave, who taught us how to dance. After that I met Nuo, a Namir who didn't like or want to talk to anyone else. And finally after that I met someone from another Clan. MacCloud from the Clan MacCloud. He said something about highlands and tartans that I didn't wuite understand, but overall it was interesting to meet someone from a different type of Clan. Although I find it odd that he didn't mention anything about the Warrior Code, or if his Clan was on the island of Namiah or not. Either way, as I said, it was an interesting experience.

`~My Attempts to Return~`
Continued Here
I have tried many times to return, climbing the mountain to see if there was any way that the natives could be mistaken about the land being an island. Unfortunately the natives were right. Next I tried walking the entire parrimeter of the island, trying to find a hidden sand bar or something to follow as far as I could away from the island to see if I could find another piece of land. That plan failed, but next I found another Namir, named Oliver, who said we could make a raft. Well, first he suggested Twoleg means of transportation, and I refused to try something like that. I may look like a Twoleg now, but I am most definitely not. I am a Warrior. He actually seemed to understand that, the second Namir to do so; the first being Treasure. So then he suggested the raft, and we set about making it. I am sad to say I wasn't very Warrior-like in some of my actions while making the raft. The entire time I was contemplating what my Clanmates would think of my new appearance, if they would accept it, if they would reject it, if they would try to kill me on the spot. I was so worried that I started to act like a frightened kit and ended up wounding myself with my own rock knife. It was't until I got fed up with being so pathetic and unsure that I decided not to go back.

`~Settling for What and Where I Was~`
My Attempts to Return Also Ended Here
The details would be in the link above, but the jist of it is that I met someone similiar to me in the respect that even if I somehow got home I wouldn't be allowed to stay. I was what my Clan thought was a mousebrained, murderous being and they would never accept that I was Brightshadow. So my only choice was to try and find a happy life where I was. The only problem with this is, in staying here, I've basically given up my worth as a Warrior. The good thing is I have found someone who understands how I feel about not being able to return home, as his predicament is much the same as mine. We have agreed to stick together somewhat, since it is... Comforting.
