Hmm... I really did enjoy VII. It was my first PSX game and honestly one of my favorites to this day. However, I find that I enjoyed the story, the writing, and the characters more in Final Fantasy VI. Kefka's laugh will stay with me always. O_O

yeah i never got to play the sixth one but i always wanted to. i have 1,2,3,7,8,10,10-2,. 11 through 13 are all jokes.

How could you know if 13 is a joke if it's not even out yet? I could understand you having that opinion if you had given the game a chance- nay, even if you had a decent amount of knowledge about it (and all its other parts) I could understand you calling it a joke. But seriously, there's hardly any info about the game around. I can't call it a joke just yet. 12 I'll agree with you- that game wasn't that great, and the combat lacked something fierce. As for 11, I'm going to disagree with you. I've played it for some time and actually found it to be one of the best MMOs I've ever played. Does that make it great for everyone? No. But it does have a great community, fun battle system (if you like Final Fantasy, that is), comprehensive yet understandable gameplay, and you don't get cemented into classes. However, please realize that this is merely my opinion of the game. I'm sure you can find equally good reasons to hate it.

i havntplayed alot of them,but my favorite would be dirge of cerberus,i loved the detail,and the way you got to customive your gun with barrles and magicka,it was amazing,the two final songs were amazing too the were longing and redemption by gack.

i know 13 is not out yet but if they go in the same direction as the 12 one ill will consider it not existing in my world.

What exactly would you consider "the same direction as the 12 one"? If you mean the battle system and story, you needn't worry. The battle system is going to be flashier, but for the most part, more of a return to the menu-style, wait your turn gameplay. And if you don't like that, maybe you'll prefer XIII Versus with their more action-based gameplay? :]

POLAR WIND i havntplayed alot of them,but my favorite would be dirge of cerberus,i loved the detail,and the way you got to customive your gun with barrles and magicka,it was amazing,the two final songs were amazing too the were longing and redemption by gack. I too enjoyed the music by Gackt, but I have to wonder where Nobou Eumetsu went. Dirge of Cerberus, in my opinion, was great to those that have played VII and wanted to continue the story there- even if it was changed a bit. Not the best title in the series, but not the worst. Like you said, the facial animation is "pretty". I just wish it was longer and more in depth.

i just want there to be turnbased battles. and you can't just avoid the battles. i liked it better when it was random you felt as if you had triumphed over a obstacal each time. and the charactors need to hava and in depth story line like final fantasy 7.

my fav is final fantasty XI been playing that game for 5 years now. and mmo's are fun! hmmm guess my fav non mmo would have to be ff7 though

Why does everyone seem to like FFVII? Don't get me wrong- I love the game, and it was my first foray into the RPG genre, but I certainly don't think it's the best of the series. I personally found VI to have a deeper story and stronger character support.
And to "bigphil0005": yes, MMOs are fun. I really enjoyed what I played of FFXI (which wasn't much before I had to quit). Do you have a preferred class?

I'm at a three way tie, one is ff 6, 5,and 3, the story in 6 is one of my all time favorites, and the 3 and 5 has a good variety of jobs to switch between. I used to own a majority of the ff series but, some things happened and they got stolen

deathgod172 my favorite charactor is cloud from the 7th one i even bought the advent children movie I consider Advent Children to be just a two hour addendum to Final Fantasy VII- so I view it as less of a movie and more of an extended ending. With that, the blatant fan service doesn't seem so bad. biggrin I really enjoyed that movie, too. So much, in fact, that I bought the special edition one. It's shiny, at least. :'D If you're a big FFVII fan, then I should let you know that Square's making some announcement about it some time in August.
