If we are the body...
The bible says we are the body of Christ. Here are some lyrics that ask an important question.

Jesus is the way
we are the ones called by God to LOVE and SUPPORT everyone, as jesus did. Teach the unbelievers what we know, love them, even if their words hurt us. Support them in times of need. SHOW them the love of christ. GET out of your seat, on your feet and in the street!! as my church would say. We're not bible thumpers. We're friends. Prove it, and don't let us lose more of these people to satan. Let's get us all to heaven!!

hhmm....in the bible jesus says "take up your cross and follow me"....no matter what happens somewhere in our lives, in everbody lives, jesus gives us a chance to take up our crosses and follow him...it is up to us wether we are up to the challenge our dear savior has put up to us....it would be nice to have some support by friends and stuff but in the end it is you who decides wether jesus is right for you or not....hopefully that kind of helped...not sure ^.^"....hopefully it actaully went with the topic...I'm sometimes not good with doin serious things at almost 1:00 AM ^.^"...but yeah mibs ^-^

Yeah, sometimes it can become so easy for us Christians to get into a clique mindset where we only treat other Christians, or those who we know well, with love and respect. And besides that, it can be hard to reach out to those you don't know well, especially if you're shy. However, that does not excuse us from our duty to do what Christ has commanded us to do, which is love everyone, friend or enemy, and to spread His name throughout all the earth. Though it can be hard, the Holy Spirit works in us and can help us and prepare us for such things.

I know i'm guilty of this too, but many of us only approach certain people about Jesus. people that we know will accept him, those that have no where else to turn and just need to hear it. The ones that are tough are the ones we walk away from. And God wants us all there..we don't have a right to pick who is going to heaven..we would be leaving the ones who need him the most..behind..

Amen to that brothers and sisters. I totally agree. We really need to put ourselves out there more and show God's love to everyone who doesn't know. I think that's one of the most important things we can do while living on earth.

I'm not one to approach anyone on any given topic. Ask nak, she'll tell ya. I've found one thing that does help me though. I've got a couple shirts that are sarcastic (i love sarcasm), but it gets the ball rolling on it. One has a picture of the carpenter nails driven through the right hand of Jesus and says "body piercings saved my life" and another that says "try this on for size" that continues onto a verse. Both have sparked some good conversations as well as debates.

This reminds me of something the girls in my church talked about last Wednesday. We were doing a mini-series on friendship and began talking about the verse where Jesus says to love your neighbor as you love yourself. And neighbors are everyone, the people around you in particular. We decided that neighbors are 'potential friends'. Everything happens for a reason and we as Christians need to get out of the mindset that we meet people by chance. We meet them, not only because we can reach them through God, but they can teach us too. Sometimes they've just gone through what we're going through now and can help us through it.
