Appearance & Personality
Never much of a sun-lover, despite living in one of the region's most popular coastal destinations, Belia's skin is pale but maintains a healthy glow. Her long hair is typically drawn up in a high ponytail or bun. In color, it falls between red and brown, artificial light bringing out the naturally occuring bold red streaks. Her eyes are green, and have a quiet, assessing look to them, though they'll sometimes spark with an impish gleam... or occassionally a just plain violent one.
Most would consider her somewhat cold, since she's not the most social of creatures with people she's just met. Her job requires her to put a smile on her face to pay the bills, though, and she does have a certain amount of tact and restraint. Despite the fact that she abhors her job, she secretly enjoys some of the bustle, since she likes to be active and keep her mind occupied. And dodging the grabby hands of drunk patrons is definitely something that keeps you on your toes, when your uniform skirt is ridiculously short!
Still, she's sweet enough once you get to know her, though she's notorious for staying somewhat distant, even with the few close friends she has. Though a little bit terse and often tense, she has a good sense of humor, and a soft side towards animals and children. As long as the children know something of manners and don't chatter incessantly, anyway. She's more agreeable when relaxed, which isn't often these days with all of the overtime she's been working.

Power Name: Image Realization
The Ability: Belia can bring images she draws to life in physical, 3-D form.
Power Beginnings
Belia spent her whole life dreaming of becoming a successful artist, with the goal of illustrating children's books in mind. She wanted to bring fantasies and inspirational stories to life for them, to give them hope and fuel their dreams. But her own dreams were crushed early on by the deaths of her parents, and the financial burdens of pursuing her art courses became too much after her first year of college.
But her dreams had begun taking on a different form during her adolescense, as she developed the curious ability to bring the images she put on paper into physical form. It started, at first, with little sketchy creatures, small as they had been on the paper, wobbling around feebly in two dimensional form on her desk. They would collapse shortly after they first appeared, then fade away, a faint image of them left behind on the paper on which they'd been drawn.
Over time, Belia learned to put more conscious effort into these odd creations. Accuracy of form and minute details, as well as the personal energy she put into it, would increase the duration of the conjured creature. As she grew older, her ability grew in strength and complexity. She was able to make them larger, and they became three dimensional, gaining color and more natural movement.
Current Ability:
A skilled artist, particularly with animals and still lifes, Belia draws out what she would like to conjure in realistic detail. She has to "call" it out of two dimensional form and into "life" by focusing on the image, often assisted by being physically in contact with it. The drawn (or painted) image peels forth from the surface it was drawn on, and takes on a three dimensional form, slowly growing to the size she desires (usually no bigger than three to six feet tall or long; any larger is too taxing). It also gains color, guided by the image she holds within her mind, as the initial drawing is typically monochromatic.
The Realized Image will take on the physical properties of whatever she drew its "calling" upon. Paper-drawn RIs are vulnerable to fire, and can be damaged easily enough by a blow or a blade, breaking it and sending it back into nonexistance. RI's that came from drawings on metal or stone, on the other hand, are far more durable, and can both give and sustain heavy blows. The amount of time an RI stays in existance varies, as it is dependent on the physical size and the activity level. A large, highly active tiger, for instance, won't last as long as a small, sleeping cat. Keeping a larger RI moving constantly, Belia will feel the drain gradually as if she's stayed up too late, and the image will fade from existance in about 15 minutes to half an hour, unless it is dispersed sooner by taking too much damage. Smaller RIs can potentially last for hours, if not days. She has to be in the immediate proximity of the RIs, preferably within direct line of sight, to maintain control and stability of their forms.
Future Developments
As she gains more control over her ability, she'll theoretically be able to sustain RIs for longer, and control them from greater distances. It is possible that she'll be able to implant "programs" into the RI to give it a very basic set of guidelines to follow in order to react to a certain kind of situation. This would allow her to send it out of sight with better results, such as having an RI dog go into another room, fetch a specific item, and bring it back. (As things currently stand, she'd have to follow it and continue to feed it the instructions one-by-one.) The commands would be very simple, and limited to one or two processes, three at the most.

Family
Belia has no immediate family living, though she has some aunts and uncles out there somewhere, and cousins as well. She just never kept in touch with them. She was an only child of supportive, doting parents who nurtured her dreams and aspirations. But her world came crumbling down around her when they were in a car accident seven years ago when she was 13, just before her powers began to manifest. They were seriously injured, and her father died within months. Her mother recovered after many months of surgery and rehabilitation, but was confined to a wheelchair and her health was poor. She passed away two years ago, when Belia was 18, due to the lingering effects of the accident that left her organs weakened.
Friends
Belia never quite figured out how to function properly socially when she was in gradeschool, too much of a flighty bookworm to fit in with the other children. She leveled out energy wise as she grew older, but children have long memories, and her social ostracization lasted through high school. By college, she'd become more withdrawn due to the death of her father and her mother's ill health, and was very self sufficient. She made a few friends through music and art programs, but isn't the best at keeping contact with them, still having a tendency to retreat sometimes into her own personal shell.
Foes
- Alyssa C.: Her direct manager at the Casino, Alyssa is a tall, overly thin blonde woman with a superiority complex. She has some "connections" higher up in the casino, so she never actually does any work, just bosses everyone else around. Her favorite pasttime is to follow an employee around after giving them more tasks than it's humanly possible for one person to complete in a full day, nagging them when they can't complete these Herculean efforts within half an hour. Constantly. Belia is one of her favorite targets for some reason, and the poor girl's restraint is starting to wear thin at the constant aggravation. Sidenote: Belia has pondered what she might do to Alyssa if her Evolved power were a more direct one, like, say, setting things on fire. And then felt somewhat guilty about the ensuing fantasy. But it still holds a dangerous appeal for her.
