When you beat the game once, go to the options menu *either on the main menu, or during the game* and press R1 + L1 to open the hidden options menu. This menu has 2 features I personally take note of.... The ability to change blood from normal red to black, green, or violet. You can also changed the ammo effect allowing you to recieve normal, X2, or X3 ammo that you pick up.

Also, about the pyramid head swinging his sword at you thing..... Pyramid Head has 1 move with the sword that kills you in 1 hit no matter which difficulty you are on. When he does his overhead slash, make sure you dodge it by either running to the opposite side of the room, or by using your L1 or R1 button.

Beat the game once, and one your way into Silent Hill when u restart the game, you will pass some logs with a chainsaw stuck in them. guess what! New weapon which hits high damage!

This is sort of common sense, but while playing the game, make sure you keep a close eye on Jame's head. If his head turns to look at something, make sure you rotate him to see what it is. This is a great way to find more ammo and health items or possibly find important items needed to proceed in the game. *reason for listing this tip is because most people get too caught up in running, or get so jumpy that they don't pay attention to the little things like that*.

To better improve your star rating, save once every 3 save points *unless you have already beat it once, then only save right before a boss fight*.

Another helpful tip, check every door and location in an area. Sometimes you get bummed out on a good deal when the room is empty or is only filled with monsters, but sometimes you get lucky and find a room with ammo or health drinks. The same issue comes with Pyramid Head's sword. I can't name the number of people who pass The Great Knife's location everytime they play because they get in a hurry to find the true way out. I kinda pity them because Pyramid Head's sword kills any basic monster in 1 hit *except for doormen.... i tried it and the sword kept missing.... better to use a shotgun or hunting rifle on these things*

While fighting the hanging demons in the hospital, if one of them starts to strangle you, mash buttons and rotate analog sticks to be released quicker.

Your flashlight can and WILL die at the end of the game after the videotape scene in the hospital. some TV's have built in brightness modes. *mine has a game mode and a video mode. video mode is really bright, game mode is just the right brightness depending on the game*. when your flashlight dies, if you MUST have a light, simply check the brightness level of your tv or the mode it is set on.

haha I know what you're talking about, but its kinda swapped around.... The battery is found in the Hospital in a room with a hands on the wall *not sure what the room number is, when I find out ill post it* but thanks for mentioning the location of the battery. Actually, your battery dies in Toluca Prison after you go in this one room to pick up Spiraling Key. You have no choice but to use the battery or else the bugs will attack you and u can't see the panel to escape. It also dies again after the videotape scene at the Hotel.

You can find the great knife in the labrynth and yes u can find it in the first go-around. I started Silent Hill 2 for the 3rd time, so when I get to the labrynth ill use paint to make a map replica on here and show you guys were the great knife, and how to get to it.

Hey I have a Question for Silent Hill 2...which ending is the right one? I got all of them except for the Dog ending..so yea..which one is right?

Niether of those are correct HenryTownshend, in Silent Hill 4, you can examine a picture of Henry's, it says that Frank's son and daughter in-law went missing there, the only endings that are true is the Rebirth ending or UFO ending or In Water.

Sorry, that is what happened to James according to SH4...

care to share the picture you are referencing to? I thought for sure i read all the pictures there. oh well, at least the right answer is known now, but i put 0% faith in the UFO ending...... seriously...... I guess I'd be stuck putting more faith in the In Water ending.

the one rather above the couch or bed, the examination info changes every world. 2 examples:

in the beginning of the game when playing as Henry, not Joseph, go to your door and examine your shoes, he'll say "these are my shoes" later on in the game, in rather the building or apartment world he'll say "now that you think of it, I don't remember buying these shoes"
