I'm not sure if this would fit here or not, but eh, oh well. Have you ever one? In Japan or in Hawaii, or wherever else they hold bon dances.

I went to a bon dance, I'm not a best recorder, but that gives you an idea to what happens with the one's here in Hawaii.

I'm sure the one's in Japan are a bit different.

If you haven't been to one, I guess you can say what you think of it.

No bumps plz. This is a rather slow forum, so it's gonna be page 1 stuff for a while.

Personally I'm very fond of not only the dance itself, but also the history behind it.Also by the kinds of modern dances it has spawned and influenced(Para Para in particular). If I ever got the chance I would like to participate in one of these dances with a group of my friends.

Next week is Bon festival week, and I was wondering about any good Bon festivals in the Kanto region of Japan (I am too lazy to do some research, so sue me. XD)

The dance I saw was during the tanabata festival here in Sayama.

My pictures are in my multiply site: http://fujisyusuke.multiply.com
