What are some of your band Camp traditions?
In our band, We have a weekly band camp every summer right before school gets back in. Every year we have a day that we call "Band Bonding". Its usually the last day of the camp. As a tradition we play lots of bonding games like Honey i love you and make human pyramids.
But the best Traditions we have is that at the end of the day, before food, we gather all the cute little freshman into the band room and one of the upperclassmen proceeds to "Talk" to them while we all fill up water balloons and squirt guns. Then once the freshman are herded outside, we attack them. Its a load of fun and everyone ends up getting soaked in the end.

i loathe band camp, if it was any other band, i don't think i'd hate it as much, but i hate this one.
but there's a certain step(or series of steps) we make our newbie director do over and over and over again.
but we had a tradition in one of my old bands. blue duct tape. XD that's all i can tell you.

Every Friday and Wednesday is a "theme" day, like College Day (wear college gear) and Hawaiin (sp?) Day (grass skirts, leis, and Hawaiin shirts abound!).
There's also "drumline day", which is a random day. The percussion always dresses in black shorts and white with nothing on them, while the band wears colors. So, one day every band camp, the wind section wears what the drumline normally wears. When successful, the percussion people and staff get confused and hacked off because they can't identify their people. When it fails, the percussion gets word and has "band day". sad
On the last day of camp, we have a gihugic water fight that begins as a staff ambush at some point in the day (the last one involved concealing water guns in our hoodies and water balloons in the sousas so we could nail them during basics block, plus a second after lunch where a friend and I palmed the key to the roof and waited for them to go out for our second basics block, then dumped a bucket of water balloons on their heads while the others blitzed them XD XD XD XD).
After the last day of camp and the preview show, we go to the local bowling alley for some laser bowling (YEAH!!!) with the whole place to ourselves.

Our band has a tradition of...making fun of certain band members. XD
This includes (not limited to): Drum major (this season especially 'cause our director always makes fun of him regardless XD) Drumline Percussion in general Percussion instructor due to his hearing problems Flutes/Piccolos (tuning jokes, sorry, guys. D: ) Trumpets
It's actually pretty funny sometimes. xD
And we also have a percussion tradition with a baby doll found backstage one concert...but that's not a 'band thing'...although they all know about it but don't KNOW it XD

our band traditions are dirty. On a bus, when we reach a railroad track and stop, we all are supposed to "Screw" Its touching a screw on the bus, putting your legs off the ground, hold ur breath and close ur eyes. Its supposed to be for good luck. Then before football games and competitions we always say to eachother "Rub my balls", by balls we mean the ball on our gloves that give it the grip, and for the flags, they say touch my butt, and they mean the butt of their flag....this is all for good luck
oh and i both love and hate band camp, love it cause im with my friends constantly hate it cause im on the feild constantly

a tradition of our band is when we win a football game, we all turn our hats backwards...and then while the percussion plays a cadence...the rest of the band runs out on the field like mad men....

[~]Ayame[~], your band camp traditions sound like a lot of fun. We always would do these fun warm ups, including Joe, Singing in the Rain (my favorite), and other things. We also usually joke about the pink string incident, but that's a different story.

Our band does spirit sticks at the end of every day. The drum majors observe different people during the rehearsals and then give the sticks to whoever they they think deserves one. Then the recipient takes it home, adds something to it and brings it back the next day, when it's given to someone else, so by the end of summer it's not just a pipe.
We also have a hot dog picnic on the last Friday, where we perform some stand tunes, marching basics, and at least the first movement of the year's show for the parents. To officially end summer, though, we have a party on the Saturday before school starts at the local water park.

We traditionally soak the underclassmen with water balloons as seniors... but we couldn't do that this year because of our stupid principal. >< My only chance for revenge on those annyoing- I mean good little underclassmen and it was ruined.
