iCosmo Hello. My name is Rei.
But let us skip the fancy introductions.
The reason I'm bringing this up is because I see the children now. They are under-disciplined, rude to authority, and frankly, most of the girls I've seen are very, well, skanky.
What happened to these people?
I figure in about 15 years, half the world will be unintelligent and uncontrolled. I fear that we will destroy ourselves faster if the children stay this way.
What do you think?
heart Children are not our future, for that means they would stay in their child states as time passes. Our future lies in the hands of every single person on this planet. We can only mold ourselves, our world and our lives to be as wonderful or as horrific as we let it be. With the advancement of our society we can create many wonderful, life changing things as well as decimate them in an instant. What will become of the future? That all depends, what will we do with what we have now?

The children of today are five times more intelligent than the adults of yesteryear, and many of them are bright and quite mature for their ages.
I think that the most important thing that we need to look at here is that it's not age that turns you into a douche, but the decisions that a person makes. If we condone bad behavior as a society, then we are condoning an entire generation of badly behaved people. As we are all PART of society, it is our responsibility to render the number of douchebags to a minimum.
Remember, everyone, there really aren't as many idiots as you think. They're just louder and more disruptive so you notice them more often.

Children are retarded.
No, it's true. It takes the typical person well after the age of 18 for their brains to completely develop- particularly the parts that determine "Is it really a good idea to copy a Jackass stunt?" and, "Is it really going to hurt if I don't wear a condom just this once?"
I'm not saying that children should be written off- I'm 21, so I'm not too far from the mark myself. But sometimes they're going to act rationally, and sometimes they're going to be nudged one way or the other by their emotions far more then ourselves.
That's retarded.
The good news is, the whole "Skank" thing didn't hurt a lot of civilizations in the past. There are always periods in society where sex is uptight as all hell or unrestrained heaven. Seriously, the whole "Free Love" phase in the 70's wasn't just about being against marriage- it was also about expressing the right to freely publish sexuality.
..Um, I'd say 'hint hint, wink wink' after that, but that's a really, really bad example. =( Damn hippies.
I know I normally go off on tangents and stuff, going on and on from one branch of the topic to the next- but this time I'm going to say something blunt: most kids grow up to be somewhat normal. Yeah, they'll dress a little skanky as they grow up and have consensual sex with a few men and/or women along the way, but most of them are going to grow up, pick their lives up and be typical- hell, maybe even likable- people.
Sure, there are going to be people who just can't let go and move on with the times. But they'll just be a few more broken eggs in this crazy omlette we call life. sweatdrop
