In order to create certain numbers, pair the numbers as so:
For example, in order to create 21, you do: 2 + 10 + 1.
To make 56, you do: 5 + 10 + 6.
To make 11, you do: 10 + 1.
Note: When "mười" is used in any place that is higher than 19, "mươi" is used instead. Therefore, 20 is "hai mươi" instead of "hai mười."
Add a number before the tens place in order to change the tens place. The last number with no place (10, 100, 1,000, etc.) is treated as the ones place.
Other numbers are:
100 trăm
1,000 nghìn
1,000,000 triệu (an Anglicized version you might hear is "mil")
