What makes you get up and go write? Be it music, siblings, animals, the sky, your imagination coupled with candy and caffeine, waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get back to sleep...
Yeah... -should be in bed, but isn't-

Hmmmm...well. I think it's my limitless imagination creating random little escapes from the twisted thing called my life. I have three new ideas running through my head for stories yet I haven't even finished my first one that has been going on for around two years now -_-; yet still my imagination gets the best of me! As for inspiration, well-I get it from just about everything I see. I got inspired to write a romance from seeing a little piggy tied up in a red bow. ?.? I don't know either XD here are some other random things- rain sky music cereal box manual labor fruity pebbles more music ring pops lillies 24 (number-not the show) cruella de vil(shes full of fabulocity) XD gay best friends(i wish I had one D smile so yeah.....

Hmm, I guess anything can inspire me, which can be trouble at times.
But what makes me write is the fact I can do it and I can do it well, when most people I talk to and know wish they could write as well. I love writing and I prefer their lives to mine so it gives me an escape route I guess...

What makes me write? Uhh.. the knowledge that my memory sux at times and I want to remember my fantasies later on in life too.
Random 2am mornings happen when inspiration wakes me up and I just HAVE to put that idea down, though for the most, that time is reserved for planning.
Planning happens with my partner. We tend to throw ideas at each other and let our imagination run wild. Some of those ideas then get turned into stories. It usually starts with "hey, what do you think would happen if.. " Currently, that sort of thing has me stuck on the story that revolves around a trip to emergency after testing if the MC's friend really was straight.
Oh.. and I can't forget the car.. I drive 20-40 mins to work every day, that gives me a fair amount of time to plan certain scenes.. of course, work being work, that doesn't always gurantee I get around to writing them out sad

I get ideas from daydreaming. I'll be sitting in the car, or lounging around work, bored out of my mind, and I'll look out the window into the parking lot, or into the park across the street, and I'll imagine some sort of action scene being played out. I'll see a girl dive behind the bushes to avoid rapidfire, or I'll see some men jump a guy and his date and the guy will doing something extremely cool and heroic to get out of the situation, or I'll see someone dressed in all black and a hat handing someone unsuspecting a note that will tell him exactly what he has to do or he dies.
And then my mind creates the story from there.
Also reading. When I was in school I used to get ideas from lectures.

Sad things inspire me. My main genre I write in is tragic romance.
Or anything dealing with people my age. I'm hoping to publish a young adult novel someday, mixing things I've experienced, with things my friends have experienced.

Well the simplistic answe is love. I write because I love words. I write because I love stories. I write because I love people. I write because I love love.
Things which specifically inspire me are: music(duh!) books spoken stories my readers blank journals(They literally make my heart race) my perfect silver pen road trips day trips sunsets flowers(especially the sunflower. I find it particularly romantic) sunrises trees dreams/day dreams art and sculpture any new experience(I'm always exciting to apply what I've learned to my writing)

Usually it just happens randomly. I get this really excited feeling about writing in my stomach and I go do it.
Sometimes I just force myself to, though.

All of the inexplicable things that happen in the world.
Especially to people I know. I grew up hearing: "No one is ever going to believe this!" Well, that and: "BAH. My kid could write better!" Even before I wrote! It was destiny. Screwy, screwy destiny.
Also, editor's stompy boots to the back of the head biggrin .

Happiness.
Sadness works for me too, but I have to feel real energetic. Happiness gives me that energy, which is why it works best. And I don't mean your regular, garden variety happiness. I mean that fuzzy feeling, heart swelling, happiness that makes every breath you take turn into a laugh.

Life.
Mostly, Upsetting events inspire me to write. If I am upset or mad I just begin to write-and it all flows out of me. I can barely write about happy things due to the fact of...when I am happy-I am out enjoying the moment.
Also, Things to do with angels and abandoned hospitals/places inspire me to write.

Most of my ideas come from dreams that I've had, or tidbits that I remember. Then I work them into an actual plot. My friends inspire me as well, and keep me going when I'm in a slump. heart
