What's your favorite new console. And what would you advice me to buy?
I'm saving money for a new console but I can't figure out wich one.
Wii: got enough money for that one but I'm a only child and the most of my friends life in other towns. But I'm a loyal nintendo fan and some of my favorite series are released only on the wii.
PS3: Expensive, really expensive. I'm really not there yet but for console gaming I have always prefered the PS2, because of it's huge variety. Also I heard thing that you can play imported games on the PS3, is this true. I'm from Europe and some games I really want are usa only.
Xbox360: I'm not sure of that one. I never had the original Xbox but I am almost at his price and there are some good games released for it. But because I never had the original I kinda get confused when I hear them talk over extra installations and I don't get teh difference between the cheap system and the expensive one.
You get the idee, right? confused
I would really apriciate any help. It's late I know. I'm a year behind but in my heart i've always been a handheld freak and the PS2 is still a damm fine system 4laugh
PS. For those that responed wich handheld would be best. I say DS. Best games and the PSP is just too slow. You really can't open a menu or you have to wait. While with the DS I never had a waiting period. It just shows that Sony is still behind on that one. Also the game variety is saddening. crying

I like most of them. I have things I hate about each one of them but I love them all. I guess my least favorite is Xbox.

Wii: Worth all the money, get one if you can. I love the controls, games, price and enjoyment I get from my Wii.
XBOX: Great system, supposed to have better graphics than PS2 games. In general at least.
PS3: Wait until the bugs in the system are fixed. And they release better games for it. I don't think it'd be worth it yet.
XBOX360: Also a great system. My brother wore out his first one and bought another already. whee The graphics are unbelievable and I think the game selection is better than the PS3's so far.

Gotta go with the Wii for this poll,
but in reality I love it and the DS equally.
But I am innately biased toward Nintendo.
I'm afraid I'm utterly out of the loop
when it comes to what games are available
on all the other platforms.

 I'm going to have to go with the Wii. I don't have any of the new generation consoles (yet!), so I can't say from personal experience.
Wii - The variety of games you can get for this console is worth the money. If you have a DS, it just adds to it. From what I've heard, it's the easiest game to use when it comes to the WiFi feature. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, so I'm defiantly getting one when I can find one.
PS3 - I'd wait until the bugs have been ironed out, it goes down in price, and they bring out more games for it. My boyfriend and I have decided not to get one until Final Fantasy 13 is available. The added bonus of having the new DVD player is a good investment. We currently use our PS2 for gaming, and to watch DVDs. The downside of the PS3 is you have to buy the one with the most gigs, so you can play games from the PS, and PS2 on it. Unless you have some serious money, I wouldn't get it right now, or even within the next two years.
I don't know anything about the XBOX 360, so I can't say anything about it. However, there are only 3 (maybe) games I'd want for it, so it's not something I'd buy.

PS2 it my favorite, and out of all the systems named the only one I don't have is a Wii. I had to kil my Xbox360 though. The only reason I plan on getting a Wii is Tales of Symphonia 2. 3nodding
Ignore me though. Its for the best xd

Of all the systems I'd choose...PS3. Backwards compatability makes it better than 360 in my eyes, plus... FFXIII!!! Games for the ps3 seem more creative also, for example, little big planet, which I long badly for.
In my experience the best choice for me turned out to be buying a regular computer and have it specialized for playing games. It may be more expensive but it does so much more anyway.
I'm also on the run a lot so I'm in love with the DS. If you like handhelds I'd get that one.

I would say get the xbox 360. It has great games and the online community is really great. The difference between the cheap system and the expensive system is that the cheap doesn't have a hard drive and it comes with a 256mb memory card and for xbox live arcade games. But to save your games you really need a hard drive. The expensive package comes with a 20gb hard drive and 2 free games (Marvel ultimate alliance and forza 2) I dont know if they still sell them with the games with it though.

You're something beautiful... I've never really liked Xbox. Whenever Microsoft first releases anything it has bugs, and that includes Xbox. I think it's gotten better over the years, but I'm also just not attracted to many of the games on Xbox. And I also just don't like Microsoft. xd
The PS3 is too expensive for me, and they tried to rip off Nintendo's motion-sensing controller with their crappy six-axis controller.
The Wii is just so innovative and something new. It's definitely my favorite. (I'm also a Nintendo fangirl. sweatdrop xd )
But I do still like my PS2. A contradiction...

i could pretty much copy what u said and thats my opinion. here's what my cousin (he has pretty much every console ever made, where he's gets the money i dont know). The console for the Wii itself is the best along with the motion-sensor controls. Xbox360 is only good cuz Microsoft gets all the best games, but the console its self sucks. if u get one, make sure to get the longest warranty available. and for the PS3 just wait till the fiz all the glitches and get a bunch of great games, then it might be worth the price.

I only have a 64 (that I can't play because I'm missing a wire) and a PS2.
The PS2 has always done everything I ever asked it, so it's my fav. ;o;
It really knows how to treat a gamer. <3

I'm a handheld lover. I always had both a ds and a psp in my purse. At least until my house was robbed and I had them out of my purse for one day.
But yes, I prefer handheld anything. You can play the games anywhere.

I have to say I'm a nintendo fan girl so you can be sure I have a wii and a DS. I wouldn't mind a PS3 if they weren't crazy expensive and they had backwards compability. Though, there aren't many games that I want for PS3 and I heard FFXIII is going to be for the 360 so if my brother gets one, I'll be good to go. If the PSP wasn't so freakin slow with the loading, I might consider getting one. It has so many games that I would like to have.

well I have an xbox 360 and I like it. The multiplayer is fun and the grapics are inavative. plus the controller is great, it fits right in yours hands perfectly. and it may have its flaws
but don't all the game systems?
I have a wii, and a ds, a ps2, and an xbox
but I have 2 say the 360 is my favorite
