Mangoberry winced as he exercised just a bit aways from the Riverclan camp. He refused to believe his usefulness was over, he was young he could he, he knew he could, or at least hoped he would. Blazepaw leaving had done him no good as well. He felt as though he had cared for the kit for no reason only to loose him to that Thunderclan scum. He wanted to know how Fernpelt felt about it all, but he dare not ask her. Mangoberry's heart was still tender and he was almost afraid that she would decide that she still loved Fireheart despite what he did. Thinking about all this cause Mangoberry to loose his concentration and he fell flat on his face.
"Oh frog's whiskers." Mangoberry grumbled staying in place from fear of what might hurt when he moves.

Fernpelt stared blankly at the wall of the warriors' den. Blazestorm leaving had really distressed her. Was it because he knew about Fireheart? Fernpelt had always loved him strongly even though his pelt was so similar to Fireheart's. She never knew what pain would come from him leaving her. That Fireheart. His betrayal clung to her pelt like a tick. She would never ever forgive him for what he did.
