I'm sure many of the Phunkeh regs have heard me talking about this for a while, but a short while ago I started a band with a good friend of mine, Gillian. We'd been talking about it for quite a while, and it sorta came into fruition one night at my house.
We're called Ethenius, as referenced by the title. I can only assume that the name of the band came from the movie Constantine, 'cause that's the only reference I can find when I google "Ethenius", apart from peoples MySpazz pages.
I got invited to the pub (lulz drunkard xd ) by Gillian to meet up with some of her friends at the same time. So I thought, “Why not, Could be fun”. Went along and met up with Gillian and her friends. Her friend Megan's boyfriend, Andy, plays guitar as well. Gillian and I decided to poke him and ask him if he wanted to join, and he said yes. So yeah, now we have two guitarists and Gillian singing.
Yesterday (14/6/2008 (That's 6/14/2008 to those that use that notation)) I met up in town with Gillian, and we went and put an advert up in the music shop. Afterwards, Gillian came round to mine and we sat and worked out a song, or at least part of it. Last night I tabbed it out on Guitar Pro, so we have a MIDI guide for making sure we're all playing the same tune, But with it just being guitar, bass and drums, it didn't feel right, so I added in a keyboard track. So now, as well as a drummer and a bassist, we need a keyboardist.
Thankfully, we have a friend that used to play keys, so we pestered him and he said he'll play, so long as we tell him what to play. biggrin Hopefully someone will contact us soon about the advert, so hopefully we'll get a bassist and a drummer.

Band practice yesterday! biggrin Was great fun, 'cause we sat and worked out more of the song we've been working on. biggrin
Also, whilst we were RAWKIN' OUT!(tm) we got a phonecall. Well, I got a phonecall. Someone had spotted our advert and wants to play bass for us! whee
We're gonna get together, probably next Saturday to see what he's like, and if he still wants to be in our band. Hopefully I'll have an awesometastic update for you then as well! biggrin
