Feathersong padded out off the warriors' den with his eyes narrowing at the bright sun. Just two days ago he had been given an apprentice. Featherpaw. Why? Whay did the leaders have to pick him? The silver tom never felt any emotions to being an apprentice, let alone having one. This would be a new challenge for him. Walking on he stopped at the clan entrance. Today was a perfect day for fishing. With the rivers lfowing softly. Prey would be plentyful.

Seriously, why couldn't she get a better mentor? She though she would be able to get someone better, with her heritage and all. The black she-cat padded towards the trees with annoyance sparkling in her dark blue eyes. Two crescent moons adorned her head, both of different shades. Her striped tail swished around angrily, twitching with the same annoyance that her ears were also doing. How much she wanted to get away from her mentor, she couldn't. He had to train her. Was that the Warrior Code? She wondered.
Pausing, and reluctantly turning to face towards her new mentor, Featherpaw quietly padding towards him. "I'm ready to be trained, Feathersong." There was a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she stared into the tom's light green eyes.

Feathersong's eyes showed no emotion to her words, nor did her move. He sat there still as a rock and looked down at her. Annoyance sparked in him as he read the expression on her face. Great. Just great. He didn't want her as an apprentice and she deffinately didn't want him as a mentor. Getting up slowly he mewed, "Look here. I'm not too happy about being your mentor and I'm sure you feel the same way. Let's just get through the day without clawing out eachothers' fur, ok?" Without expecting, or really wanting an answer he turned around and headed out of cam, flicking his tail slightly indicating that she should follow.

She flicked her tail and started to follow him, but before she did, she stuck her tongue out at him. He was going to learn how strong half-clan cats were! If that meant clawing his fur away, then she'd surely do it. Featherpaw wanted to prove herself to everyone. But to him... Eck, she didn't know if she could prove herself to this tom. She was even surprised he had a mate, with his manners. Blah, love. One thing she didn't plan on experiencing any time soon. "Yes sir." Her tone was almost mocking him, eyes glistening deviously.

Feathersong walked on and looked at her for a moment. A small grin, unseen to her formed on his and he walked on. After a few blissful moments of silent walking he suddenly stoped, spun around, and pounced Featherpaw.

Unaware of the sudden turn of events, Featherpaw continued to follow her mentor. Her eyes seemed to squint down into a furious scowl. What was he planning? Though she saw the dark shadow of something coming down on her, Featherpaw had no time to react. Her eyes suddenly widened, almost looking furiously as if something monstrous was about to rage down on her. Unknowing of what she was doing, her claws came out, and her reaction was striking her claws across him. Then she backed away. Her features were almost strangely transformed. Eyes widened like demons, claws unsheathed, fur ruffled two times her size.
Then she realized what she had done. "I-I'm..." Featherpaw couldn't respond. What he had done reminded her of something. "I didn't mean..." The she-cat looked down, her body shaking horribly.

Feathersong smiled and licked his shoulder wound. It wasn't bad. "Great job Featherpaw. Now that's what you do if an enemy pounces you." Feathersong continued his trot and stopped at the ThunderClan border. "That over there, is Sunning rocks. ThunderClan and RiverClan have fought for moons over the territory. ThunderClan has possession of it now but not for long." He mewed passionately.

Featherpaw let out a snort. Bah, not for long? How long had these rocks been Thunderclan's? Apparently for awhile, because she saw no intentions of war in any Riverclanner's eyes whenever someone spoke of Thunderclan. Well, when they happened to be around to certain warriors, whom were the children of a Thunderclan cat. She had heard that one of them had gone to join Thunderclan, never coming back. What stupid decision did that cat make, anyways? Quite reckless, though.
((Don't mind Featherpaw, she's quite loyal to Riverclan, even if she's unaware of her heritage. XD))

Feathersong saw the disbelief in her eyes and couldn't help, but admit to it too. Thunderclan beat Riverclan at every attempt to take back Sunning rocks so nothing was going to change that quickly. "What do you want to do next?" He asked. He didn't have any ideas so it was her turn to choose what she wanted to learn.

Featherpaw narrowed her eyes into a glare, staring at the silver tom with a scowl. He was quick to say things wasn't he? She liked silence much better, you wouldn't have to worry about some noisy cat streaking by, screaming their lungs out. Then, she smirked, an idea forming in her head. "Can I see the Shadowclan border?" She was unaware of her heritage, but Featherpaw always had an aching feeling someone, or something, was among Shadowclan. She wanted to find out what.

Feathersong sighed and rolled his eyes. Sure she was unaware of her family, but still. He picked his way through some ferns and walked up along the ThunderClan border until a stench filled his nostrils. They were almost there. Hoping up some rocks he landed on soft patch of land. They were at Fourtrees and the ShadowClan border.

She stared across the nasty smelling Thunderpath, not forgetting one certain memory of a cat sprawled on the hard ground. Sure he had forgotten the details of what was said between that memory, but the cat's pelt was still carved into her brain. The crescent moon, the stripes, everything. They were both alike in every way. Featherpaw smiled. She'd find out later on, not right now... "We can go if you want to." She suggested, eying up curiously.

Feathersong glanced at her then back over the border. It was time that she found out. "You know about him, don't you? Your Father?" He asked with a neutral look on his face. He wasn't the type that really cared about heritage, but she had to find out about hers.

She let out a chuckle, fumbling her paws together carefully. Featherpaw looked at Feathersong with a stray smile. He was smart, she'd credit him on that. Especially since he knew of her heritage. Every Riverclan cat knew. She had heard them whisper about her parents all the time. "Of course I do." A nod, the familiar memory of an exact copy of a face like her plaguing her mind. Featherpaw had seen her father as a kit, just couldn't remember much...
