Pokemon Rules

1. The Pokemon you are allowed to own and catch depends on your rank in Team Aqua. During missions or regular RPs, you're usually provided with an opportunity to catch Pokemon. Only Pokemon allowed at your designated rank can be captured. Training RPs (TRPs, for short) have a different set of guidelines for capturing Pokemon and those rules can be viewed here. If you don't know your rank, refer to the Rank and Pokemon List and find your character's name.
.....Tier 4 and up: All Pokemon are allowed, except Legendaries.
.....Tier 5: Pokemon up to 1st-stage are allowed.
.....Tier 6: Only basic- and baby-stage Pokemomn are allowed.
.....Violation: If you catch a Pokemon not allowed at your rank, it will be taken away from you. Depending on the situation, you may be banned or demoted.

2. All Pokemon require 5 days of being owned and evolution points outlined in the post below before becoming eligible for evolution by any means. Evolution points, or evo points, are accumulated every time a Pokemon battles/is used in a mission, RP, or TRP. They may also earn evo points through participating in reffed battles in the [Stadium] and by eating a Rare Candy. In addition to this rule, only one evo point may be earned per mission/RP/TRP/battle. No exceptions. Always ask permission from a Crew member before evolving a Pokémon. For details involving how to evolve Pokemon, refer to the next post in this topic.
.....Violation: Warnings will be issued to those who evolve their Pokemon without having enough evo points or without owning the Pokemon for the correct amount of days. More serious action will result if the issue should continue.

3. Whenever you obtain a new Pokemon, PM a Tier 1 member so they can add it to the record. Otherwise, your new Pokemon will not be recorded and thus will not be eligible for evo points, evolution, or being used in general.
..... Violation: Failing to this will result in the Pokemon not being obtained until the correct person is informed.

4. Eggs are only obtainable as special gifts from Crew-hosted RPs. They have their own special rules for hatching and generally a list is provided from the Tier 1 who hands out the egg stating what can be hatched from it.
  • Bug, Flying, Normal, and Poison types take 4 days to hatch
  • Electric, Fire, Ghost, Grass, Ground, and Rock types take 5 days to hatch
  • Dark, Fighting, Ice, Psychic, Water, and Steel types take 6 days to hatch.
  • Dragon types take 7 days to hatch.
  • Eggs of Pokemon that are or evolve into Mini-Legends take 8 days to hatch.
  • Dual typed Pokemon take the first type's number of days plus 1 day. Example, a Skarmory (Steel/Flying) egg takes 7 days to hatch.
After your egg hatches, please message a Tier 1 to update the list with your new Pokemon.

5. In the case of a Horde Battle, if you use one Pokemon for the entire battle, said Pokemon will accumulate 2 evo points. However, using multiple Pokemon for the battle will only earn each participating Pokemon 1 evo point.
As of right now, Horde Battles can only occur in certain places in the Kalos Region.

Evolution Rules

1. All evolutions must be approved by a Crew member. If you have a Pokemon that has accumulated the correct amount of evo points (and, depending, has the right item or a person to trade with), you can PM an admin to ask permission to evolve said Pokemon. If the conditions are not met in the eyes of the Crew, the Pokemon will not be allowed to evolve.

2. Pokemon that evolve by special means, such as trading, stones, friendship, location/moveset, holding an item, or Pokemon Amie all require at least 5 evo points and, if it applies, the proper item to evolve.
.....Trade: Find a person willing to trade with you and a Crew member to approve the trade and evolution. Requires 5 evo points.
.....Evolution Stones: Buy the proper evolution stone from the shop. Requires 5 evo points.
.....Friendship: Buy a Heart Stone from the shop. Requires 5 evo points.
.....Location/Moveset and Pokemon Amie: These Pokemon require 10 evo points to evolve. Detailed below.
.....Held Items: If a Pokemon requires to level up with a specific item to evolve, just buy the correct item from the shop and make the Pokemon participate in anything that would normally earn it an evo point. Acknowledge that the Pokemon is holding the item when doing so. Requires 5 evo points.

Evolution Specifics

Baby Pokemon: All Baby Pokemon require 5 evo points to evolve to Basic-stage. Baby Pokemon include: Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Togepi, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, Azuril, Wynaut, Budew, Chingling, Bonsly, Mime Jr., Happiny, Munchlax, Riolu and Mantyke.

Basic-Stage Pokemon: Basic-Stage Pokemon require 10 evo points to evolve to 1st-stage.

1st-Stage Pokemon: All 1st-Stage Pokemon require 20 evo points to evolve to 2nd-stage.

Feebas: As of Pokemon Black and White, Feebas can evolve if you trade it with a Prism scale. You can buy this item from the shop. Requires 5 evo points.

Shedinja: Acquired simply by evolving Nincada into Ninjask. Make sure to have an extra Pokeball available and acknowledge that you are acquiring a Shedinja when you evolve Nincada.

Gender: Pokemon that need to be a certain gender to evolve go by the normal evo point rules. The proper gender must be acknowledged, however.

Karrablast/Shelmet: To evolve Karrablast, trade it for Shelmet. To evolve Shelmet, trade it for Karrablast. The evolving Pokemon require 5 evo points.

Location: To evolve Eevee(into Glaceon or Leafeon), simply buy an Ice or Moss Rock from the shop. Requires 5 evo points. For Magneton, and Nosepass, simply have them acquire their 5th evo point in Chargestone Cave or fight a battle in Chargestone Cave even after they're reached 5 evo points. Please include a link proving this when you ask a Crew member for permission to evolve Nosepass or Magneton.

Pancham: Pancham evolves when he hits a certain level with a Dark-type Pokemon in the team with him. To imitate this, have it gain it's 5th evo point (or any evo point after 5) during a mission or RP/TRP where you have acknowledged that you have a Dark-type Pokemon in your team. Provide a Crew member proof of this when you ask permission to evolve.

Inkay: Inkay evolves when you flip it upside in Pokemon Amie after a certain level. Simple flip it upside down when it gains it's 5th evo point or any time afterwards. Provide a Crew member proof of this when you ask permission to evolve.

Eevee into Sylveon: Requires 5 evo points.

Pokemon that require certain moves: Require 10 evo points.

Day and Night: A few Pokemon who also need to hold items to evolve go by this rule as well. If a Pokemon needs to evolve at a certain time of day, simply ignore it. Go by the standard rules for evolving. If you have questions, PM Maddymage.

Mega Evolution

1. A Pokemon can only mega evolve if the following requirements are met. The trainer has reached Tier 3, has a Mega Ring, and has the proper Mega Stone. Otherwise, mega evolution is not possible.

2. Mega Evolution can only take place once per battle. Use it wisely!

3. Only one Pokemon may mega evolve per battle, regardless of how many are holding a Mega Stone. If you want to mega evolve two different Pokemon, it needs to occur in two separate battles.

4. There are two ways to acquire each Mega Stone. The first way would be the normal way, usually through a mission or by purchasing in the store. The second way is through sacrificing a Mystery Stone. Mystery Stones are incredibly rare items, handed out only by Crew members. They allow you to evolve a Pokemon regardless of how many evo points it has. If missions aren't your thing, you can use a Mystery Stone to create a Mega Stone of the Pokemon you are using the Mystery Stone on. This conversion of Mystery Stone to Mega Stone must be approved by a Crew member.
