We want to keep making the roleplay events in Noctua better, and we can't do it without your help and input. Please take the time to voice your opinions. There's no need to answer every question if you don't want to. We want to know what was good and what needs to be improved so feel free to skip questions you feel indifferent about. If you didn’t participate this time we would still appreciate it if you answered the questions about future events.

The Fledgling Festival
- What was your overall impression of this event?
- Did you find it difficult to keep up with the 1 post per 24 hours rule? If so, why?
- Did you have trouble finding out that the event had started? If so, what could have been done to rectify that?
- What did you think about the limited slots for this event?
- How did you like the size (20 slots)?
- What did you think about having a limited event mostly for bards and fledglings? Fun? Unfair to exclude others? Other thoughts?
- If you could change one thing about the event, what would that be?
- If you could pick one thing about the event that you don't want us to change, what would that be?

The Entertainers
- Do you think the system with one entertainer in charge of each fledgling-thread worked?
- If you were given the opportunity to help out (as an entertainer or thread-leader) in a similar event, would you want to do that?
- Did you (as a bard player) enjoy entertaining a group like this?
- Is there something we could have done to make things run more smoothly for the entertainers?

The Groups
- What did you think about how the Sentinels were grouped?
- Was your thread fast or slow enough for you?

Movement Between RPs
You might have noticed that some movement between threads was allowed since a few of the entertainers had to be absent during parts of the event.
- Did the temporary threads (ie. Fun With Colours) work?
- Do you have any ideas on how else to handle absences in the future?
- Did you have to move at some point?
- If so, do you think it worked or was the process confusing?
- If you didn't have to move, would you have wanted to?

Future Events (Optional)
- How could we improve upon a similar event, next time?
- Would you like more events geared towards specific professions in the future?
- If so, what profession/professions? (Bards/Combatants/Minders/Hunters/Fledglings/Teachers/Crafters...?)
- What size would you like future events to have? Bigger? Smaller? Like this one? Some kind of mix?
- Would you be interested in micro events with only 2-3 slots for participants?
- How many Sentinels do you think each participant should be allowed to enter?
- Would you prefer that both the start and ending date was already set at the time of sign up?

The Fledgling Festival
- What was your overall impression of this event?
I liked the premise, particularly Fjord's “history lesson” and Brightling's will demonstration. I think the event was troubled by an unfortunate case of timing, what with a lot of participants graduating and going away on vacation. Overall, I thought it was run well regardless.

The Entertainers
- If you were given the opportunity to help out (as an entertainer or thread-leader) in a similar event, would you want to do that?
Sure.

The Groups
- Was your thread fast or slow enough for you?
Much to slow, though we were a low priority thread, so I understand.

Movement Between RPs
- If you didn't have to move, would you have wanted to?
I think it worked out okay in the end. There were times when I would have liked to have moved, but I understand why it wasn't possible. smile

Future Events (Optional)
- How could we improve upon a similar event, next time?
Timing. I can easily see it becoming a drag to organise and tailor events to everyone's schedule, but I think this one suffered on account of unfortunate timing. I think giving people the option between 1-2 post every 24 hours, and 3-4 posts a week might give you a better idea of their availability. More-so then “fast or slow”.

- Would you like more events geared towards specific professions in the future?
Sure

- If so, what profession/professions? (Bards/Combatants/Minders/Hunters/Fledglings/Teachers/Crafters...?)
Combatant missions would be fun. Cooperative Crafter could be interesting too.

- Would you be interested in micro events with only 2-3 slots for participants?
Yup!

- How many Sentinels do you think each participant should be allowed to enter?
2-3. Exceptions could be given provided the participant has proved able to manage before.

- Would you prefer that both the start and ending date was already set at the time of sign up?
Yes please. I didn't know how much time I had to work with, so I didn't know what I could commit the character to.

The Fledgling Festival
- What was your overall impression of this event?
A fun idea, that could perhaps have been executed a bit better - by the participants, that is. Still, I had fun.

- Did you find it difficult to keep up with the 1 post per 24 hours rule? If so, why?
Only while I was right in the middle of the crazy final dash to finish my school project, but that was very much MY OWN problem. I really, really like this rule.

- Did you have trouble finding out that the event had started? If so, what could have been done to rectify that?
Nope, I had no problems at all. I can't think of any way that it could have been made clearer, either.

- What did you think about the limited slots for this event?
A good idea, even though it seemed some people snagged slots even though they weren't really ready to commit to the event, possibly excluding a few who would have been more committed, but didn't have time to sign up. I'm not sure what could be done about that, at this point.

- How did you like the size (20 slots)?
Very manageable. *thumbsup*

- What did you think about having a limited event mostly for bards and fledglings? Fun? Unfair to exclude others? Other thoughts?
Fun, in the sense that it gives the feel that even geographically and task- restricted events can have a place and some intrigue in Noctua. Hopefully, it will serve as an inspiration for coming up with other, similar plots that will involve other tasks or ages.

- If you could change one thing about the event, what would that be?
More active participation could have shortened the duration and multiplied the fun. Maybe the event had some bad timing, but I think the 24-hour rule was pretty clear already at the signup.

- If you could pick one thing about the event that you don't want us to change, what would that be?
The 24-hour rule. It's good to have.

The Entertainers
- Do you think the system with one entertainer in charge of each fledgling-thread worked?
Oh yes. It really kept the thread from possibly cluttering or dividing the attention of the participants too much.

- If you were given the opportunity to help out (as an entertainer or thread-leader) in a similar event, would you want to do that?
Yup. ^_^

- Is there something we could have done to make things run more smoothly for the entertainers?
I don't know. I'd be interested in seeing some answers for this, though.

The Groups
- What did you think about how the Sentinels were grouped?
Have no complaints or comments about this.

- Was your thread fast or slow enough for you?
A bit too slow. A little of that is my own fault, but still. Too slow.

Movement Between RPs
You might have noticed that some movement between threads was allowed since a few of the entertainers had to be absent during parts of the event.
- Did the temporary threads (ie. Fun With Colours) work?
I felt that they did. I had fun, at least. It was well-handled and didn't get confusing at all.

- Do you have any ideas on how else to handle absences in the future?
Not at this point.

- Did you have to move at some point?
Yes, when Gifty had to go away for a while.

- If so, do you think it worked or was the process confusing?
I think it worked. I wasn't the least bit confused.

Future Events (Optional)
- How could we improve upon a similar event, next time?
I'm not sure. Perhaps making more clear (and determined) how long the event will be running for, and make sure to inform all who wants to enter that they will have to adapt their pace to the planned-out timeframe. Maybe set a specific number of posts that needs to be made before the time "runs out"? I'm not sure...

- Would you like more events geared towards specific professions in the future?
Yuss! It will be fun, and it also makes the paring-down of participants a bit easier.

- If so, what profession/professions?
Right now, I'm thinking Combatants. Some action, perhaps?

- What size would you like future events to have? Bigger? Smaller? Like this one? Some kind of mix?
The size of this one was really good. Bigger is funner, but takes up a lot of time and committment. Smaller ones would probably also be fun, but then we might almost be down on "personal plot"-level. Either way, I think we could make something fun out of it. ^_^

- Would you be interested in micro events with only 2-3 slots for participants?
Yuss! Didn't sign up this time, but try to stop me in the future!

- How many Sentinels do you think each participant should be allowed to enter?
I think it should depend on the size of the event. If there were to be another mammoth of a project such as the storm, and someone wants to enter seven or eight sentinels at once, well, then it's really up to them to manage to keep up with the threads, too. For smaller events, the size of this one, how about two-three at the most? (To keep slots free for other participants)

- Would you prefer that both the start and ending date was already set at the time of sign up?
Hmmm... probably. I like knowing what's expected of me.

The Fledgling Festival
What was your overall impression of this event?
Fun but some reply wait times were frustrating.
Did you find it difficult to keep up with the 1 post per 24 hours rule? If so, why?
Nope, I made sure I would be free for it before I applied
Did you have trouble finding out that the event had started? If so, what could have been done to rectify that?
Found out in the main forum by back reading. Maybe a special banner or noticeable announcement on the main page would be better.
What did you think about the limited slots for this event? Good
How did you like the size (20 slots)? Good, maybe 30 would be better?
What did you think about having a limited event mostly for bards and fledglings? Fun? Unfair to exclude others? Other thoughts? I liked it b/c I had a fledgling but if I didn't I would have been a little disappointed.
If you could change one thing about the event, what would that be? I would have liked to have more in the group then just two other members.
If you could pick one thing about the event that you don't want us to change, what would that be? Time quota!

The Entertainers
Do you think the system with one entertainer in charge of each fledgling-thread worked? Yeah.
If you were given the opportunity to help out (as an entertainer or thread-leader) in a similar event, would you want to do that? Sure, if I have an idea.

The Groups
What did you think about how the Sentinels were grouped? It worked
Was your thread fast or slow enough for you? Too slow.

Movement Between RPs
Did you have to move at some point? No, but I wasn't sure how to leave or if I could.
If so, do you think it worked or was the process confusing? confusing
If you didn't have to move, would you have wanted to? yes

Future Events (Optional)
How could we improve upon a similar event, next time? I think the timing was the problem. End of May is graduation for high schools so I think that was the main cause for many slow threads.
Would you like more events geared towards specific professions in the future? Sounds fun biggrin
If so, what profession/professions? watchers and gatherers
What size would you like future events to have? I like a mix, keeps it fresh.
Would you be interested in micro events with only 2-3 slots for participants? Yes!
How many Sentinels do you think each participant should be allowed to enter? 1-3, RP history should be considered.
Would you prefer that both the start and ending date was already set at the time of sign up? Yes please. I wasn't sure what time frame I had to work with so was unsure what I could throw the character into.

The Fledgling Festival
- What was your overall impression of this event? It would of been nice to have a bit more participation from some of the fledglings... It would be a day or two before I could come back between each post, but it was rare for me to have a response... Other than from Slander or the Herald... D:,
- Did you find it difficult to keep up with the 1 post per 24 hours rule? If so, why? I did, but this was the first time it has ever been a difficulty. Bellsouth screwed me over by cutting our interwebz off too soon before the move, then turned it on late, while we were packing and getting the family ready to leave. Life happened, basically. Dx
- Did you have trouble finding out that the event had started? If so, what could have been done to rectify that? Nope, no trouble with that at all!
- What did you think about the limited slots for this event? It was fine, actually. Plenty of fledglings, since it was a Fledgling Festival, and just the right amount of adults. For a mini event, the size was fine!
- How did you like the size (20 slots)? Perfect!
- What did you think about having a limited event mostly for bards and fledglings? Fun? Unfair to exclude others? Other thoughts? I liked it!
- If you could change one thing about the event, what would that be? Ehm... Nothing, really... More participation from some of the participants would of been nice, I suppose...
- If you could pick one thing about the event that you don't want us to change, what would that be? I liked the limit, since it was a mini event!

The Entertainers
- Do you think the system with one entertainer in charge of each fledgling-thread worked? I think so!
- If you were given the opportunity to help out (as an entertainer or thread-leader) in a similar event, would you want to do that? I'd love to! I wouldn't try again, though, until I am sure there is a smaller chance for RL to bite me...
- Did you (as a bard player) enjoy entertaining a group like this? I did! I thought it was a good bit of fun, even if it was mostly with the Herald, I enjoyed it! Made for good Bard practice, too!
- Is there something we could have done to make things run more smoothly for the entertainers? Not really, I think you guys did fine!

The Groups
- What did you think about how the Sentinels were grouped? Good, good!
- Was your thread fast or slow enough for you? It was slow enough for me, given the circumstances.

Movement Between RPs
You might have noticed that some movement between threads was allowed since a few of the entertainers had to be absent during parts of the event.
- Did the temporary threads (ie. Fun With Colours) work? I think so
- Do you have any ideas on how else to handle absences in the future? Not at the moment, but if I think of something I will be sure to share it!
- Did you have to move at some point? Nope!
- If so, do you think it worked or was the process confusing? Dodger moved, but it didn't seem too confusing at all.
- If you didn't have to move, would you have wanted to? Maybe, just depends on the situation, I suppose!

Future Events (Optional)
- How could we improve upon a similar event, next time?
- Would you like more events geared towards specific professions in the future? Why not? Sounds fun!
- If so, what profession/professions? Another Bard, though not until other professions get some fun! Hunter/Gatherer/Combatant in general/Minder?
- What size would you like future events to have? Bigger? Smaller? Like this one? Some kind of mix? A mix, maybe?
- Would you be interested in micro events with only 2-3 slots for participants? Sure!
- How many Sentinels do you think each participant should be allowed to enter? Two to three, possibly four, unless they can handle more?
- Would you prefer that both the start and ending date was already set at the time of sign up? That would be nice, I suppose, though after event arpee in the same thread is nice, just to kind of wrap it up!

The Fledgling Festival
- What was your overall impression of this event?
Disorganized and a bit forgetful. Seeing’s how we didn’t manage to keep the 24-hr post requirement. Things just got silly and frenetic and nobody seemed to be taking it that seriously. Which isn’t a big deal, since it was kind of a mini-event...but yeah. *shrugs*
- Did you find it difficult to keep up with the 1 post per 24 hours rule? If so, why?
Um......not really...though I did when other people hadn't posted...
- Did you have trouble finding out that the event had started? If so, what could have been done to rectify that?
Nope! I was on the mailing list. :3
- What did you think about the limited slots for this event?
I was fine with it. Smaller=more manageable.
- How did you like the size (20 slots)?
Was fine with me. See above.
- What did you think about having a limited event mostly for bards and fledglings? Fun? Unfair to exclude others? Other thoughts?
Fun. I think it's a neat idea to let certain people come out and play. That, and I think that specialist events let people really focus on an integral part of their character: task.
- If you could change one thing about the event, what would that be?
Make everyone (including myself) take it a bit more seriously. XD
- If you could pick one thing about the event that you don't want us to change, what would that be?
The premise of little events geared to certain tasks...it's cool. That, and I liked giving the bards the opportunity to perform.

The Entertainers
- Do you think the system with one entertainer in charge of each fledgling-thread worked?
Aye!
- If you were given the opportunity to help out (as an entertainer or thread-leader) in a similar event, would you want to do that?
I'd do it again in a heartbeat, yeah!
- Did you (as a bard player) enjoy entertaining a group like this?
I thought it was a great opportunity to let Brightling's art come out...and to practice my own RPing a difficult subject. It was cool.
- Is there something we could have done to make things run more smoothly for the entertainers?
Nope. Any problems I had were my own. Maybe make sure fledgies posted, but other than that, nope!

The Groups
- What did you think about how the Sentinels were grouped?
Worked for me!
- Was your thread fast or slow enough for you?
Too slow. XDDD

Movement Between RPs
- Did the temporary threads (ie. Fun With Colours) work?
N/A
- Do you have any ideas on how else to handle absences in the future?
Not sure.
- Did you have to move at some point?
NAW! I just abandoned my thread...sorta.
- If so, do you think it worked or was the process confusing?
N/A
- If you didn't have to move, would you have wanted to?
Nope.

Future Events (Optional)
- How could we improve upon a similar event, next time?
Um...organize a less-hectic time for everyone...and give a definite end date, and possibly a post requirement thing...dunno.
- Would you like more events geared towards specific professions in the future?
YEAH I WOULD.
- If so, what profession/professions?
Everything in turn. *nodnodnod*
- What size would you like future events to have? Bigger? Smaller? Like this one? Some kind of mix?
Some sort of mix...like I in particular want to do a big one with crafters, a small one with keepers, etc.
- Would you be interested in micro events with only 2-3 slots for participants?
Yup!
- How many Sentinels do you think each participant should be allowed to enter?
One or two per each batch of microplots.
- Would you prefer that both the start and ending date was already set at the time of sign up?
Not with microplots, no. With big ones, yeah.
