*patter patter patter*
He raised up on his hind legs slightly, ears twitching as he looked up; just in time for a big raindrop to get him right in the eye.
“Hraka!”
Sage scrubbed furiously at his eye with a paw, blinking until it cleared, and by that time what had started as just a few drops had become a steady, gentle lilt. Loping back towards the entrance of the warren, he sighed to himself. So much for having a night to think and silflay. Once under the tree canopy, he stood up and shook a bit, running his paws over his fur to brush off what water he could. This wasn’t shaping up to be what he had sought. He hopped back into one of the warren entrances, a wider one at that, and turned around to face the storm now that he was in a dry place. Dark eyes watching as the silver curtains of rain started coming down harder, he laid down and stretched out; enjoying the cool earth beneath him. He wondered how the hlessi faired in weather such as this. As a kitten, and even sometimes in his foolish moments as an outskirter, Sage had imagined himself to be off on a daring adventure of one sort or another. He was lucky to still be alive, honestly. The passing year had been a hard one on the warren. Their numbers were thin, and he had himself felt the crush. His father had been in the Owsla, and had been one of the first deaths in the year, caught by the farmer’s dog. He himself was the sole survivor of his litter. But that was Frith’s Will.
His ears shot up as light danced across the sky. His heart beat a little faster as the boom followed, but he fought down the fear that was so common to their kind.
“The sky elil…”
He mused to himself, thinking and watching the rain. ((Sorry it’s so long, feeling out his character. Anyone is welcome to join in :3 Also, is the text color too light? ))

((I like your first post ^_^ The colour is ok on my computer ^_^ ...Also, I should warn you, My Rp skills aren’t great, but I’m learning <3 )) Thyme had heard the loud crash of the storm outside, and it had woken him with a start. Unusually curious of the sound, he headed towards one of the entrances to take a look at the storm outside. Thyme hated water, especially the rain, but he didn’t mind watching it as long as he was in a dry place.
He was still quite sleepy as he made his way to the entrance, and consequently, wasn’t really watching where he was going either, soon bumping into a furry lump in the entrance "Oh!" he leapt back, resisting the urge to bolt. "Oh, sorry about that" he quickly realised that the lump was another rabbit from the warren "Err...Watching the rain hmm?” Wide awake now, he felt quite embarrassed for almost stepping on the young buck, and wanted to change the subject as quickly as possible.

Snowdrop was always up around Fu Inle', being nocturnal, compared to most of her fellow warren members. It had always been like this since she was kept in that forsaken shed long ago when she was just an adolescent, and she hasn't quite gotten used to Frith's light. Perhaps she wasn't meant for His blessing, cursed since birth to embrace darkness. She used to think that, but after spending a good deal of time at the warren, the doe has become a little less cynical. Still, she was usually one to keep to herself.
The doe also happened to be out to silflay, glancing up at the clouded evening sky as it began to rain. She disregarded the drizzle for a moment, allowing herself a few more bites of flay until voices caught her attention. Snowdrop turned away from her current spot, and soon she was perched upon one of the beech's thick roots when the flash of lightning came. It gave her blank, white figure a more eerie look with the brief, illuminous glow, and those red eyes...
With a nonchalant look, she watched the two bucks... until she decided to join them. "Sky elil, you call it? ...I've seen one killed by it before."

((Thanks Were <3 And no worries at all, everyone starts somewhere, and we all grow at different paces in different ways x3 ))
Mayhap it was the combination of feeling safe in the warren, to being lost in his thought, and perhaps in part due to the rain muffling the sound of his approach; but when he felt something bump into his rear, Sage was completely taken by surprise and shot up and out, quickly hopping out of the tunnel and back into the light rain that was making it past the leaves of the beech hanger. He turned around, his ears straight up, too look at the buck that had spoken. What an off night this was, for sure. He nosed back into the tunnel, sitting just inside its shelter before addressing the new arrival.
“I was.”
A slight smirk played across his muzzle. He wasn’t angry at all and rather found this humorous himself. He felt as skittish as a kitten right after a storyteller’s horror story about the black rabbit of Inle’; and had no idea why. Odd night indeed.
It was then that the lightening forked over the sky again, a bright flash making him look outside to see a blindingly white rabbit sitting in the rain on a tree root. His eyes grew wide momentarily at the imposing figure she made. For doe he knew her to be, and one of the warren no less. He’d seen her from time to time when he craved on some dusk or night to silflay and think in solitude. They’d never spoken, that would kind of defeat the purpose of thinking alone in the quiet of night, but he recognized her all the same.
He cocked an ear as she spoke, and nodded.
“Yes, I’d believe it.”
Hadn’t he heard stories about the white light burning and scorching things?

Thyme jumped as the lightening flashed, followed soon after by another clap of thunder "Sky elil alright" he gazed around outside "I’m sorry for interrupting your rain watching session, but I think we both had the same idea" he smiled and looked to see who the pale brown buck had been speaking too "Oh, hullo there" he said sweetly, as he caught sight of the shimmering white doe "Lovely weather wouldn't you say?" He felt the rain hitting him on the nose and shuddered, moving further back from the entrance "Nasty weather more like" he muttered to himself.
((Do you think I need to bold his speech at all? Or is it ok to just write in paragraphs like this?))

Heartsease had just roused himself from his burrow to silflay, but before he'd even made it halfway up the run he knew the weather was bad. The air was moist and smelled of the rain. And then there was the sound, louder than Frith's own thumping.
But he could hear rabbits further down the run, and hoped that they were going out or coming in. The rain might not be so bad; perhaps he could still silflay. But alas, his hope was to be short lived. As he came up behind the gray buck sitting in the entry way, he heard his mutterings.
"Nasty weather more like."
"Well that's a bother, isn't it? Still, maybe it will let up soon." Disappointed though he was, he spoke affably. No point in letting a little rain spoil his mood.

Thyme looked to see who was talking to him "Oh hullo...yes, its nasty weather alright, but as long as we're in here its not so bad. A shame we cant go out and silflay though, but still..." he sniffed the new buck curiously "...I don’t believe we've met before...have we? I'm Thyme" he began cleaning the water off his face.

The doe gave a brief shake of her coat, ridding herself some of the rain that had stuck to her fur. Then she began to preen herself a bit until her red gaze returned to fixate itself upon Sage. Soon, another buck made his appearance -- Snowdrop recognized him as one of the storytellers. She acknowledged Heartsease's presence with a simple look, her expression rather plain, like the color of her own coat. The doe wasn't like that all the time, but she really had no particular expression to show at the current moment.
"The flay usually tastes better after rain.. It's refreshing."
Her gaze flicked to Heartsease. "Perhaps you'd like to share a story amongst us to pass the time... but before that, I have a question to ask..."
She eyed Sage once more, studying him -- scrutinizing him. "Was your father an Owsla? You look strikingly familiar to one of the bucks that rescued me and a few does when I was young, long ago."
(( Hope you don't mind if I tossed that in there, Rose -- I thought it'd be interesting if Sage's father was one of the Owsla members who went on that raid to release her and some does from this shed at a farm. n_n; ))

((@Were – I recommend making a break in between dialogue and story, so that it’s easier to distinguish the two. Bolding would work, but spacing looks neater, in my opinion. ^^ And so far you’re doing just fine <3 If you wanted to add more to Thyme, now might be a good time to give reasons to why he does what he does, or what he’s thinking.
@Bjorn- It actually helps my background story out too, so thank you xD It’s more than fine with me *nods* ))
“No, it’s alright. This isn’t Old Efrafa, after all.”
He raised on his haunches slightly to look over Thyme as he saw yet another approaching over from down the tunnel, nose twitching as he searched out the scent; another buck, one of the story tellers. He lowered himself again, once again unable to come up with a name. It seemed he was more of a loner in this warren than he thought. His ears flickered to catch the voice better, nodding as the new arrival spoke.
“It very well might, it really isn’t all that bad.”
With that he smirked a little, always finding the humor in things. It could very well rain all night and he knew it, but there was no sense in bringing the rain inside to dampen the hopeful. Turning his head to scratch an ear, he looked again to the outside and debated with himself. It really didn’t seem that bad, and perhaps if he stayed under the branches and leaves he could still silflay without getting soaked. He glanced back to the other males after Thyme had introduced himself and nodded once as a welcoming gesture.
“Sage.”
And with that, he bounded back out into the night’s wet air.
“And I’ll just have to take my chances with the Sky Elil, wont I?”
He stood up and smiled, nodding his agreement with the white doe. The rainwater did sweeten the grass, and it sure beat having to trek down to the river to drink in the middle of the night. He had just lowered his nose to the ground again, the rain washing out most of the smell and making it harder to find the best flayrah; when he heard her speak. And for an instant he was a young outskirter again.
'My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today.'
His mother stood in silence before the remaining Owsla, not speaking, not even joining in the prayer. She just stared straight ahead, out over the fields and forests to some distant place no one else could see, and then without a noise at all she simply slipped back into her burrow and never came out again.
He just sat there for a moment, before his dark eyes looked up to the doe.
“Yes… some time ago now, wasn’t it? His last run.”
He smiled, something he had learned to do in even the hardest times. It wasn’t this doe’s fault. It was simply Frith’s Will, and he was sure his father would be rather proud to know that his sacrifice meant life to many others.
And then Sage noticed the rain again and shook himself a bit, thinking.

((Okies, thankyou ^_^ Ill give spaces a go. Ill write up a description for him in my journal in the next few days))
Thyme nodded politely as Sage introduced himself, and his eyes widened as he watched him run out into the rain.
"Goodness! He's going to get soaked for sure"
He shuddered at the thought of being drenched, and cleaned his face as if trying to wipe more water from it. Thyme hated water, but mostly the rain. Not many know why, as he doesnt like to talk about it much.
Turning back to Heartsease, he smiled.
"A story would be a lovely way to pass the time. That is, if you'd like to tell one of course"
He never liked to push people into things they didnt want to do.

"Heartsease," he began to introduce himself but fell quiet as the white doe began to speak. Like most of the warren, he supposed, he knew of her. It was hard to miss her, white as a warning flash of the tail. He didn't know what to think of her yet, or of Thyme, though the gray buck did seem to share his distaste for being wet. The other buck, Sage, seemed a bit audacious. He smirked to himself as the other dashed out into the rain.
"Any particular story?" He came out of his musings about the others and began thinking of good stories for the moment. Something short and light-hearted seemed the thing for the moment, perhaps something made up, or a clever trick. But whatever they wished he would do his best to tell.

Snowdrop watched as Sage bounded back into the rain to silflay, a light smirk forming upon her lips -- what a fellow he was. Then she closed her eyes, slender ears listening to the music of rain.
"Indeed. I remember him being one of the bravest of the bunch. Will you be following in his footsteps, Sage?"
Her gaze flicked up to Thyme, and then Heartsease next.
"I am Snowdrop, if you don't know yet... Hm, perhaps you could tell us a story of triumph, something uplifting. A story of never giving up hope through hard times. I'm not too picky."

Thyme smiled politely at Snowdrop, loving her name immediately, as it suited her perfectly.
"Tis lovely to meet you, I’m Thyme, as I said earlier"
Turning back to Heartsease he ran a paw down his long black ear, before getting comfy. He felt like he’d made a few possible good friends that night, and it made him feel quite cheerful.
"I like Snowdrop's suggestion, that sounds like a very interesting and uplifting idea for a story, do you agree Heartsease?"
He still wished he could go out and silflay, but a story seemed like the next best thing.
