Welcome to the Member's Journal Thread.
You're probably asking why we created such a thread, that is, if you're not asking yourself just exactly what a Member Journal is. sweatdrop
Member Journals are here to give you stress relief, and blog about what's going on in your life while you're writing your book. Have you discovered after writing down 20,000 words that your POV needs to change completely? Did you acedently delete something important for your story? Are you having a rough day and just felt like throwing your laptop/desktop right out the window and hearing the satisfying crash of it hitting the sidewalk/your driveway? Or maybe you had a great day and got 5,000 words jotted down, easy.
Whatever the case, we want you to blog about it, and we want it all in a place where we can access and read each other's easily, can reply and relate (because really, we're all going through the same things you are), and can relieve stress by knowing you're not alone.
Feel free to start your Journal thread, and we encourage you to make it your own! Dress it up, make it pretty (or scary, whichever you prefer!), and get to blogging. ...Just don't let it keep you from writing your story!
Oh! And please follow the Rules
Please Do Not:
1) Flame Other's Journals:
Be respectful of what other people write. If you don't like what they're saying, skip onto the next Journal.
2) Write Slander/Hateful/Inappropriate Journal Entrees.
If any Mod sees inappropriate material in any of the Journals, we will delete the post. If the Journal pops up more material like it, the Journal will be deleted, the user will be blacklisted, and the Mods will delete any future Journal created by the user. This also applies to posting replies on user's Journals. One chance and one forgiveness. Thats it.
3) Bump
Bump only when your Journal falls off the page.
4) Plagiarize
Plagiarism will get you banned and reported to Gaiaonline moderators.
5) Spam or Troll
Extreme measures will be taken at the first sign of spam/trolling.
6) Create Multiple Journals
Each member is allowed one Journal. Please post anything you are going through in that Journal. Do not create multiple ones.
7) Forget What The Journals Are For
These are writing Journals. While some aspects of your personal life relate, please do not post things you do not want readers to know, or things readers just don't want to know about. We don't want a long Journal entry about your Aunt's special bunt cake recipe unless the story you're writing is about your Aunt's special bunt cake recipe.
Please Do:
1) Be Literate
Please be as grammatically correct as possible, and try to spell right. I know this is hard for some people, but you can download spell check, or just download Mozilla Firefox. It has a built-in spellchecker. People will love you if you type well.
2) Be Respectful
Be kind. This doesn't mean sugarcoat stuff, but be nice about whatever it is you're talking about.
3) Be Honest
Honesty is the most important thing I can think of, even more so than spelling and grammar. Again, be nice, but be honest!
4) Refrain From Knocking people
Don't knock people down; hurting them is the best way to get your a** kicked out of here.
