I made a new file out of boredom today, and I think I got a retarded cow. I fertilized the grass, and it is fully grown now. So I let the cow outside. It stood there, then started getting mad! I milked it, let it out to graze... and it just stood there, staring at the grass. It wouldn't eat it...

Well, I don't know if it's the TV or the instruction book in the game that says it (for A Wonderful Life) but sometimes you have to feed the animals by hand. If they don't eat, that is.
When I play A Wonderful Life, I must be there or the animals won't eat. You know, the second I walk into the barn they start eating. But that can't be the problem for you because I guess you do stand close. If you didn't you wouldn't see that the cow was angry.
