My level was in the high 50 and I don't even have KOTR at that time. I was using Cloud, Barret and Vincent all with their final weapon and Limit Break except Cloud's Omnislash

I'm afraid this belongs in the Beginners Hall sub-forum.
But to answer your question, one easy way to make him obsolete is to get a 'Ribbon' for all your characters. Once you do that, if you are even a decent FF battler, then you should be able to beat him because it renders the most effective part of his final technique obsolete. And DeBarrier always helps.
This should really work considering your characters are as high level as they are.

It is easy to beat him. I have done it with a level 45 Cloud, 44 Tifa, and 44 Barret. I didn't even have their final limits or weapons either. Just try a little harder, and make sure you have DeBarrier.

I forget my character's exact levels. But they were all around the mid 70's I think. I used Cloud, Vincent, and Cid I think. They all had their best limit breaks.(Omnislash was a huge help). (so is Vincent's final one chaos or w//e). I had to use Cloud as a healer mostly, since I lost Aeris. Curaga is a must have. I had everyone's ultimate weapon. I had also used many stat boosts on my characters. I found an area where I could get an infinite amount of them. and Ribbons are also a must have, as you've already been told.

as with most bosses in the game its more about equipping your character to defend against attacks they use rather than how high a level your character is that makes the difference. a strong offense starts with a strong defense. for safer sephy really anything will work against him as long as you have debarrier (which ironically he gives you earlier in the game) and at least ONE ribbon on your main healer character is what makes the battle. after that its just about surviving till you chip away the health. oh and have an enemy skill materia equipped coz i believe he uses shadow flare(?) and then you can turn right around and cast it back at him.

all three of my characters were level 99, because I tried to do all the side-quests I could before battling him, and i tried to get the master materias. They also all had their ultimate weapons; Ultima Weapon for Cloud, Premium Heart for Tifa, and Death Penalty for Vincent. I also had KoTR and each characters level 4 limit. So i wouldn't know about what levels they can be. I do know that his Supernova attack is almost always lethal, so try to defeat him as quickly as possible. also, don't use KoTR on Jenova or Bizzaro or Safer Sephiroth will have even more health than normal.(Also, if you don't have Omnislash for Cloud by then, you'll still get to see it in the battle after Safer Sephiroth. Saying anything else about this would be a spoiler, so don't ask.) After you finally beat Safer Sephiroth, make sure to wait till after the credits are over to see an extra seen before you turn the game off.
