It was great fun being a member of GiB and working with all of you (did I even do any work?) but now that I've been given a chance I'd been clamoring after for more than a year, I'm not going to let it go. Another group I'm part of, The Old Guard, is merging into the Zurg Hive and all members gain automatic acceptance into the Hive Academy if they so choose. As you know, the Hive requires its members not to be members of other Zurg-related groups and while my membership in the GiB isn't public knowledge, I haven't exactly made a secret of it. Besides, I'd rather not be the cause of the next stupid spying scandal (hey, alliteration!)
So I'm saying goodbye and that it was real fun being here for as long as I was. I'll try to become active in the public thread again so as not to lose contact. And of course I'll still be a member of any non-Zurg-related guilds some of you are members of, like the Nightfall Asylum Brotherhood.

I think that rule about other organizations is rather silly.

They.... I.... A great sadness has just overtaken my heart. ;_; I'll miss you Solarn, you were a valuable member to our not so secret society. Have fun in the Hive, and if anything happens, remember we will be here with open arms for you.

All the other reasons have to do with the GIB's super special awesome coolness, of course.
Ooh, I'm still on the member list (as Free). I have a lot of good memories from TOG.
