We have already invaded television a few times. But that was only the first step.
I was watching Americas Next Top Model. I usually find it an incredibly stupid show. But there's an Aspie!! And she's a model! And she's really beautiful! heart blaugh
YAY! We have finally taken over the supermodels!
Now all we have to do is complete our plans in world domination. So what's our next step?

Why would those with A.S. not be pretty?

The Colloquialism Why would those with A.S. not be pretty? Maybe our "long days and nights in front of a computer screen" skin tone, our "I have a panic attack if I go exactly 24 hours and 13 minutes without a corndog" physique, or even that constantly endearing "deer in the headlights" stare we have when somebody isn't talking about trains. Not to say we aren't pretty, but very few of us are the TV kind of pretty.

I'm pretty. This is from a few years ago, when I was about 13. I usually don't photograph well, that's the thing... ^.^

Why wouldn't they look nice? Not all who suffer from the condition are your stereotypical looking monster as people think. I meet women like that and what is better than how they look as there mind whats more attractive.

Oh yeah, I watched that season. The judges kept saying she was a very unique sort of pretty, somehow. The paleness came up, too. It's funny, they focused on her AS a lot more than she did, it seemed like.
Appearance-wise it seems autistic people run the gamut, really. I've heard autistic (Kanner's type) children described as being almost unnaturally attractive, as you get the stereotypical small chin, large eyes, cute ears, and "pensive" look. There are some physical features common in many autistics but not all autistics have them (for example, the large "flopped over" ears, and apparently lips curving slightly downward at an angle more dramatic than most people's). Then there are plenty of unattractive autistics/aspies, as well. I don't consider myself attractive but some people seem to think I am, and others don't. I guess that'd probably make me average, though it's hard for me to judge.

Whats wrong with pale skin? I like my pale skin. Besides... true loveliness comes from within.

Here in Mexico, white skin equals social status. The paler your skin, the more respect you get 3nodding
Now, if I were to classify myself about how handsom am I, I'd say I'm more towards the middle. I'd love to improve my looks and make some exercise... but that operation scar I have from last year still won't let me do it scream

Whee, first post in a while.
I'm kind of pretty. Depends on your definition. Most just say I'm cute, but there are some guys who like pale girls with short hair and small breasts. And Aspie doesn't always equal bad body. I'm really, really into my martial arts and biking, so my body stays good. Most of the Aspies at my school are really thin too.

I have a very pretty face... I'm just really fat because I have a food addiction (Compulsive Eating Disorder), and being an Aspie has nothing to do with my weight (except, perhaps, the depression and anxiety that may have led to the disorder). I have large brown eyes, my face is almost perfectly symmetrical, and despite having tiny teeth, with a tiny gap between the two front ones, I have a very pretty smile.
My two younger sisters have full-blown autism. The elder of the two is very pretty, but she'd be a lot prettier if her hair was better taken care of (it's frizzy, and she hates having her hair brushed because it hurts, and she can't get the knots out so she does a poor job of doing it herself. She also really needs to brush her teeth more often). The younger of them is unique in her looks - not beautiful, but definitely not ugly. She has blue eyes and a nice smile. But she sticks out her chin a lot, and when she smiles for a photo, it's very forced-looking.

I think I have the food addiction, too. I'm at least 70 pounds overweight, and I want to be thinner, but I don't see that ever happening without some sort of miracle or surgery. A lot of people in my family say I'm cute, though. They never say that I'm pretty. Only cute.

I don't see why we wouldn't be pretty. Beauty is subjective, anyway. I could think someone's gorgeous and you might think (s)he's hideous. I think I'm just average when it comes to looks, though I guess I've gotten a bit better lately because some of my spots have cleared up.

I'm a model and I act(lol maybe I can invade the acting world) Anyway I don't see why people with our condition can't be beautiful. It doesn't affect how we are going to develop physically. This is me.
