So, today at work, Julianne's mother came in and said, "Were you a good Ju-Ju or a bad Ju-Ju?" (lol, all Juli(e)'s have the same nicknames, I speak I can say this since I'm a Julie) and then it reminded me of the phrase, "Are you a good witch, or a bad witch," from Wizard of Oz. So naturally, I said, "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" as a joke to Juli and her mom. Her mom smiled, and Juli just kind of looked at me and then I was like, "Who me, I'm not a witch at all." And then Rhonda (Juli's mom) was like, "I'm Dorothy Gale, from Kansas."
Which got me quoting the whole scene right then and there. "Oh, well is that the witch?" "Who Toto? Toto's my dog." "Well, I'm a little muddled. The Munchkins called me because a new witch has just dropped a house on the Wicked Witch of the East. And there's the house, and here you are, and that's all that's left of the Wicked Witch of the East. And so, what the Munchkins want to know is are you a good witch or a bad witch?" "But I've already told you, I'm not a witch at all. Witches are old and ugly *laughter* What was that?" "The munchkins. They're laughing because I am a witch." "You are?! Well I beg your pardon, but I've never heard of a beautiful witch before." "Only bad witches are ugly."
And then Rhonda said, "Finally, I've found someone more obsessed than me!" xd
Just thought I would enlighten the guild there. wink
Anyway, I love the Wizard of Oz, it's one of my favorite movies, something I've grown up watching, and I know every single word to it, no lie. However I have a photographic memory, so remembering things really isn't that difficult for me.
But anyway, there are some movies that I know every word to. Wizard of Oz, and Mary Poppins to name two. They're both one of my all time favorites. Pollyanna is my favorite movie, but those two are basically tied.
So I was just wondering, what are you favorite movies?
Any movies that you know every word to?
Something you've grown up watching?
Are you named after a movie star? (I'm named after Julie Andrews! biggrin )

I love Wiz, too. And Mary Poppins. My favorite movie is Gone With The Wind though.

OMG if you love the Wizard of Oz then you need to look into the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire and the Musical Wicked. its about Galinda and Eliphaba the good witch and the bad witch and how they became the witches of oz. the book is so fantastic and the whole idea of OZ was changed for me in a moment. i read the book in a night cause i couldn't put it down. its just that good. and the musical is so empowering to women. heart heart heart heart heart heart heart
My favorite movies are, the sound of music, phantom of the opera, pirates of the caribbean (all three), Dear Frankie, P.S. I Love You, Pride and Prejudice, V for Vendetta, etc. there are just so many i can't list them all
I am pretty sure i could quote every sing line in all three Pirates movies.
My favorite actress growing up was Julie Andrews. i cried and cried when she had her knods operated on and now she can't sing. oh my god it was like the end of my little world as i knew it. i am so happy i have CDs of her musicals like My Fair Lady and Sound of Music because when ever i am feeling down i will listen to her sing and she brings me back to my childhood and all the songs that i love. to listen to Julie Andrews sing "my favorite things" always makes me feel better.

angel_of_joy My favorite actress growing up was Julie Andrews. i cried and cried when she had her knods operated on and now she can't sing. oh my god it was like the end of my little world as i knew it. i am so happy i have CDs of her musicals like My Fair Lady and Sound of Music because when ever i am feeling down i will listen to her sing and she brings me back to my childhood and all the songs that i love. to listen to Julie Andrews sing "my favorite things" always makes me feel better. Oh coming from a girl who is named after Julie Andrews, you have NOOOO idea how angry I was. I'm a huge Julie fan, and I cried for days when my mom told me she's probably never sing as well. She does have a song on the Princess Diaries II soundtrack. She's always been my favorite actress, I cried when she made an appearance on Rachael Ray. Amazing, amazing woman. I'm going to meet her someday, because, well, it's only proper to meet my namesake. biggrin I will definitely have to check out that book, too! Thanks for telling me about it.

Thanks for telling me about it. i knew she had a song on the princess diaries II sound track but that has hardly any range and its pitched speaking. not like her 8 octave range she used to have. i mean seriously 8 OCTAVES is insane!!! i will meet her someday too just because she is the reason i am a singer. i have to just thank her for being such a possitive roll modle in my life. i think you will really like Wicked. it is a fantasic book. i need to pick it up again and read it because it is just that good.

Our mothers are sisters and even though she is a couple months older than me, I can vouch that Julie was listening to Julie Andrews' different works from birth on! Julie, you should so take a picture of your room, I am sure Angel would love to see your Julie Andrews shrine!

you have a shrine!?!? that is toooo cool. i want to see it. i do not have a shrine... haven't for a long time to anyone...although i have a couple of pirates and a jolly rodge on my wall. i really like pirates.
but i would love to see your shrine.

I have my one bedroom done in pink, and my other bedroom (that used to be my brothers room before he died) in blue. The spare bedroom in the condo my fiance and I share is done in giraffes and sunflowers since it's my favorite animal! ^_^

i want to repaint my room yellow but not like a blazing yellow, more of a mellow buttery colour. mainly because i am pink fan and i have a very bright pink bed set that i think would go really nice with yellow walls.

My shrine (basically everything, except for the shelves) is taken down because of the remodeling. However if I get it back up, I will take pictures.

I hope it comes along a little faster.
I love the movie Love Story, it was such a wonderful movie. Makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm big on romance movies!
