Event Sign-Up [May 2008]
This is an RP based contest which means that it will require a lot of writing on your part, but don't worry we don't expect super long paragraphs and detailed writing [though that'd be nice XD] ..but we want to see how much you really want the semi-custom dust and if you really want to be part of this shop :3
If you sign up, you will be included in the contest that will happen soon, remember if you sign up, you HAVE TO SHOW UP AND BE ACTIVE, unless otherwise.
I'm sure it will be a fun experience for you all, really so please do sign up. heart
This form is the dust character you will roleplay. Most likely it will be your semi-custom, unless...you want a different one when you've won. o-o

Dust Essence; Bloody Rose
Dust Personality; Pure, innocent and aloof. Is naturally curious but holds an eerie ghost like quality about her. She is often secretive and mysterious.
Dust Appearance; She has white alabastor skin, blood red hair with a white rose as decoration. Her lips are ruby red and her eyes are dull gray as if void of sight; quite the countrary she IS color blind. Her nails are painted red and she wears a thorn chocker with a single white rose stand in red (because of the thorns her neck is stained with her blood from the scratches and cuts).
Special Abilities; Raining Thorns, can shoot thorns from her body at will warding off enemy attacks from afar. She's agile and can easily adapt to her environment. Blood Thorn Cross; a makeshift sword used to defend herself at close range, it isn't very strong and can only take so much damage before it breaks. Stained Petal; a drop of her blood in the earth allows the growth of a large white rose which encases her in its protective sheild. It only lasts for a short while but gives her enough time to regroup and heal minor wounds.

Dust Personality;Yukiku is really a sissy, a gentle caring one. He'd get out of his way to go prince charming and do something for someone at any time. And in case he gets badly hurt, he can heal himself up after a period of time, so he always sees to it that he puts others in priority before himself.
Dust Appearance; Smooth, soft very, very light white hair. Pinkish,yellowish, light blue on the edges? Gentle light blue eyes. Clothes are very optional, which means, er, you can play around with them as much as you please. 8
Special Abilities;
-Carried floral rapier and chrysanthemum shield
-Increased effect of plant medicine
-Plant morph (Moderate effects only, works on his sword and shield though)
-Rare, not usually used power, vine+thorn growth

Dust Essence; Liquid Aurora
Dust Personality; Fluctuating and fluid personality, though never really into either extreme, he usually remains calm and smooth-spoken. He moves with a soft and etherial deliberance with a hint of elegant lethargy, slow and beautiful like an aurora.
Dust Appearance; He has fairly pale complextion, like the moon. His hair is long and flowing like a blanket of midnight-blue sky but it twinkles in places, giving the illusion that it has mini stars shining and shimmering upon it's surface; and occassionally, when it's very dark, an aurora can be seen flowing through it. Despite his gender, he wears makup that is usually in the deep blues and silvers, the colours of night; these makups will have a sparkly property to them that attracts attention to his deep, crystalline eyes. Like his hair, when it's dark, they change colour; shifting though te spectrum and glowing with a soft light of their own.
Special Abilities;

Dust Personality; Positive, protective, shy around large groups.
Dust Appearance; Very very very bold looking! X3 Eye catching with all the colors he manages to put together in a outifit. No matter what the occasion, his clothing is always bright. He also wears lots of accessories like bracelets, necklaces, rings, hairpins, etc….Lemon has medium length, yellow/blond, colored hair. His eyes are violet and tone of skin is pale. OH YEAH! He carries his best friend ( a umbrella ) named Cute-chan all over with him.
Special Abilities; Cute –chan is Lemon’s best friend and as a best friend Cute-chan protects Lemon! >D He is used as a shield that can deflect most attacks. Lemon also has the ability to blend in with his surroundings. This means he could sneak up on his enemy to ATTACK with his biffle Cute-chan.

Dust Personality; Oxiin is quite the party pooper; irritable and short-tempered, he’s hardly someone who you can have a fun time with.
Oxiin makes a habit or insulting or criticising anything that he doesn’t understand or like, and at times his comments can be quite offensive to people. For example if he saw a piece of artwork that he didn’t like he wouldn’t think twice before telling his opinion to the artist and explaining all the negative features of the piece, without even pausing to consider that artist might not appreciate having their work torn to shreds by his harsh words. Oxiin complains about situations that he is in a lot too; saying it’s too warm or that he’s too tired… He never seems to be satisfied, and to be honest would happily complain about the most ridiculous petty things all day, if he had the time.
It is possible to get through Oxiin’s rather tough and unwelcoming shell, but even then he’ll still keeps his grumpy character, the only difference is that he’ll try to take into consideration people's feelings more, reducing the amount of insults given and if he feels connected enough to someone he’ll even go as far as reluctantly sticking his neck on the line for his friend, possibly by going into a fight to save them or something similar.
Dust Appearance; Tanned skin, amber/reddish brown eyes, wiry rust coloured hair, his clothing is fairly rugged and worn down, he could possibly have bandages wrapped aroumd his hands/wrists as it fits with his 'brawler' figthing style. He also has small rusty 'scabs' on his skin, they don't hurt at all and if they were scratched off his skin underneath wouldn't be harmed.
Special Abilities; Tarnishing Touch - His touch is highly corrosive to metal, leaving all metal objects he touches with a thin layer of rust on their surface. This is generally a nuisance although it can be useful if he needs to weaken a foe's armour or weapon.
Rusted fists - For a short period of time Oxiin's hands are clad in rusted metal. His fingertips are made sharp with rusty jagged edges and so do more damage when he is fighting, his whole hand is slightly stronger too so a punch would also hurt more. He can still move his hands when the skill is in effect but his movements are slowed; for example, clenching his fist would take twice the time it normally would.

Dust Personality; Dusk is rather calm. It take a lot to rouse her temper, and even when angry, she's not very fierce. What she is is good with words; she can communicate in four words what would take someone else four sentences or more. She's also very creative, taking up many of the arts. This isn't to say she's skilled at everything, but she tries and usually is willing to practice until she gets it right. Unfortunately, she's hardly any good at small things and has to go right to the full composition. She's rather unpatient. But she's very social, which is good, because otherwise she'd never get any good ideas.
Dust Appearance; Her skin is a very dark, dusky purple or blue. She has white pupils and black sclera. Her hair is silvery purple and is usually up in some kind of elaborate and strange style with at least three ornaments in it. Her clothes are made of heavy brocades and silks and she generally wears a lot of layers. She develops quickly but ends up with an ultimately boyish figure. From her back are several trails of colored air, from pale blues to deep purple to pale pinks.
Special Abilities; Dusk can communicate across large distances without use of an intermediary. You might call it telepathy or empathy, but it's more like "sympathy"- as long as she can imagine where you are and the situation you're in then it's likely that she can get a message to you somehow. This is useful in battle because she can amplify her "voice" and cause terrible distraction.

Dust Essence; mirage dust.
Dust Personality; Easy going, and laidback. Arell loves to use riddles and jokes, often teasing others and playing games that might get him into trouble. Hes straightforward, and sometimes oblivious to everything that doesnt include him. Some would call him a bit selfish, while others are tricked into believing he is selfless and quite the gentleman. Arell is a trickster, thus the reason why he is able to lie without a care in the world, and make people think something that is not quite the truth. Arell uses a lot of body language as well, sometimes acting mute to annoy someone else. Arell can act quite mad, but it takes a lot to actually snap a nerve. Arells mysterious changes in personality make most believe him to be bi-polar, but that is quite the opposite of what he truly is. Arell has a strong, well built personality, but hes a very good actor. One that has to be known to see through the mask of what he pretends to be.
Dust Appearance; Red golden hair, and pale golden eyes. His hair is slightly spiky, and falls in a thin strip of hair from the nape of his neck to his hips. Other then the thin strip in the back, his hair ends at the edge of his neck in a small array of spikes. From a distance, some would think that Arell is blind, because his eyes are so pale. But that is not the case. They are actually a very light golden, with flickers of blue in their depths. The only other distinctive feature on this kid is the tattoos on his face. His left eye has an arrow going down from the bottom of the light golden eyes to the middle of his cheek. The other has an arrow going the opposite direction to the edge of his hair line, and it points up.
Special Abilities; Arell can create small illusions, turning enemies around in circles and confusing them while he escapes. While his abilities lie not in fighting physically but in trickery, and making people think something that is not quite real. Arells illusions can only last for a small while, but even so, it is enough for him. Arells only other ability is that of the ability to put men and women into a dazed state for only a small while - something he hasnt completely mastered yet though.

Dust Personality; Mercurial. Often stoic and ill-tempered, sometimes moody, but with a nurturing, protective nature beneath it all. There's nothing he hates more than being alone, but he has a difficult time trusting people. Due to his inability to directly connect with others, he often lashes out and has a reputation for violence, though he'd secretly prefer to sit in the sun and listen to music. Befitting someone who'd come from water, he's tragic and his moods are ever changing, giving him a depth one may not expect at first meeting him. The only thing that doesn't change is how he tends to feel about people that he cares about, whether they care about him or not, and he'll be the first to throw himself into the fray to protect someone else, even if it means he could get hurt or killed. Though he manages, largely, to remain calm much of the time, when his ire is roused, he's passionate and his temper can be explosive. Expect him to be the one in the room who sits in the corner, but is keeping an eye on everyone... until he gets tired of it and goes to cause trouble just to interact.
Dust Appearance; Pretty but masculine, with deep blue hair that falls to about his collar and milky white, near transluscent skin. His eyes are rounded with long lashes, often appearing wet with literally glowing blue irises. He's fairly tall and thin, with a lean musculature not unlike a swimmer's, and he tends to wear 'tough guy' clothes, like leather jackets and the like, though he otherwise rarely wears anything expensive. He has lots of scars on his back and in a few other places.
Special Abilities; Trayse has the ability to control water to the extent of drawing it out of other objects or sucking it right out of the air. He can manipulate this water into any form, including a series of dangerous spikes and hurtling spheres. This power fits his personality because he can also use it to save someone from falling, drowning, or in plenty of other ways.

Dust Personality; Dramatic, easily exited, and playful, he is quick to charm and inspire others (or alienate them xD ) with his charisma and quick wit. However it is half a facade to keep people from knowing the real him, and to hide his uncertainty. Despite his teasing and jokes, he has a kind nature and wants people to be safe and happy.
Dust Appearance; Tall, slender and elegant looking, he has sharp features and a piercing golden colored gaze. He has red/flame colored hair and tanned skin. (and wings maybe? *hinthint* or some sort of wing design on his clothes or markings on his arms or something. I know it's a semi custom, so I'm not going to add wings officially... )
Special Abilities; Aidan has a very flashy ability. He can cause flames to spring up around him, which is not only harmless to those he likes, or wants to protect, but can even heal minor wounds, and energize them. if someone he doesn't like is touched by the flames, they will behave just like a regular fire and burn them.
edit: oh, and I guess aidan can't heal himself... xD for the hell of it: quest thread

Dust Personality; Sweet, quiet, and filled with an unspoken longing, Cordelia's usually a gentle girl who tends to end up in bad situations by trying too hard to please everyone. She always wants to be helpful, and she'd rather put her energy into trying to do something for everyone around her. She can get resentful and angry when she feels she's unappreciated (while she won't admit it, she wants praise for her actions), but she doesn't like explaining herself. Cordelia tries to be incredibly pragmatic, and so she never does anything without a reason. Thus, if she isn't receiving any sort of appreciation for what she does, she feels it's useless, which makes her useless.
She's incredibly loyal, and while she doesn't enjoy conflict, she'll fight hard against anyone who threatens those she deems "hers." Once she's friends with someone, she's friends with them until (almost) forever, and even if they move alway from her, she'll still hold onto them in her heart. However, being Cordelia's friend is truly a mixed gift, as she tends to 'test' her friends to see if she's cared about or respected. These 'tests' range from going out together often to calling her up/sending her letters to remembering her birthday, etc. In that respect she can be quite a brat, and she knows it.
It can be said Cordelia's self-obsessed. She is. However, while she works to keep her narcissism in check by supporting and doing good deeds for others, she tends to forget that she's only human. She's well aware of her flaws, and she strives to change herself to be the best she can be-- but she's mortal, and therefore fallible.
Dust Appearance; Cordelia's almost sickly-pale, much like the royalty of old, pale to the point her blue veins show through her skin where it's too thin. She seldom goes out into the sun without being viciously burned, so her cheeks are usually flushed with sunburn. Generally, though, she manages to keep everything else from not being burnt through sunscreen and clothing. She has pale blue eyes, almost washed-out. While her eyes have the same "infinite, vacant eyes" as all Life Dusts, they tend to be so pale she almost looks blind. Cordelia's hair is possibly the most vibrant part of her physical frame. The brilliant gold of her shoulder-length hair is so bright, it almost washes her further than she physically is, given the contrast. Her bangs frame her face, layered and slightly wavy. Along her wrists, she has twin scars, much like a suicide attempt-- but cut the wrong way, across rather than along the vein. Along her head, where a crown would fall, she has tiny scars all around her head, another reason why she has bangs. She can usually be found in long sleeves, long pants, fabric covering her body. She tends towards lighter colors, though never white, greys, blues, and her favorite, pale violet. She wears gloves to protect her sensitive hands, and she tends to wear rings over the gloves, usually wearing eight or nine rings at a time. She prefers silver to gold (honor over love) and small stones of various colors. She likes wearing headbands and other light fabrics that don't clash.
Special Abilities; Emote - Can project either deep, paralyzing despair [presence of melancholy] or profound, overwhelming joy [absence of melancholy] in her target, immobilizing them. However, she faces the opposite of the action (to a lesser degree) when she uses it, meaning that she will either be caught in joy or despair as well, albeit a lesser form. In order to use this, she must be within ten feet of her target. [Lasts about fifteen minutes]
Learns at a very quick rate, mainly due to a phonographic (sound, rather than the words/visual) memory. Anything she hears she remembers, and she can recite back. As a result, she's an extremely good listener, and she tends to appear to be paying close attention to others, even when she's not. This also distracts her though, as sometimes she feels she remembers too much.

____Ditzy: Although Paulamoni's one of the sweetest beings you could ever hope to meet, she is completely dense when it comes to some situations. For example, she often forgets what she is doing and wind up doing something else, only to forget that she forgot and find another thing to keep herself busy- it is an endless chain. She also gets distracted easily (i.e., tripping on the floor and finding a potato chip), and tends to digress when talking about a specific topic.
____Regal: Although Paulamoni is down-to-earth and congenial, she knows she has the appearance of an elegant princess. She prides herself in grooming her hair and wearing silken dresses, but does not flaunt or brag about her graceful visage. Paulamoni does not like to get herself dirty and avoids it if possible, and does her best to avoid situations that will do so. A good way to describe her is high maintenance yet approachable.
