I would like to hear what many think may happen on that day. I have started to listen to a few 'Conspiritists'[sp?] and found that they have brought together many ideas and narrowed it to that day. I would like to have an intelligent non-argumentative discusion about this. I don't quite understand what may or may not happen, or how this even came about. Would someone please clear up this fog for me?

There are a lot of idea's going around saying that the world will either crash or start to fall on December 21. It all depends on what you want to know, there are many views on this:
1: Religious.
2: Economical
3: National
4: Other, which consists of small things all leading to man-kind destruction.
Personally, I don't know many of what is being spoken about and Im curious too, I have heard this idea, but no one will talk to me about it.

I thought that it was going to end this year on the 21 of December. At least, that's when this gigantic clock that the Aztecs/ Mayans/ Incas built is supposed to stop. Or was it in 2012? One of those years, anyway.

I'm not quite sure anyone can predict the end of the world. How many times have other cultures and different religions said that the world is going to end, yet we've passed those points and we're still here. It's not something we should really worry about; it will happen when it happens. And as for my opinion, I think it's going to be a while until then. But from a religious standpoint, in the book Revelations in the Bible; the end of the world is supposed to be signified by war and natural disasters. Applied to the world now, we have the War on Iraq on top of hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes quite recently that have all had high levels of devastation.
In essence it all comes down to personal opinions and beliefs. Frankly, it's not something I take my time to think about because I don't feel that it is going to directly influence my life.

It's just commonly known as such...it's still unsure if maybe the devil's number is 999...it could be anything really. It's just that the number 666 has been commercialized as such.

One of those years, anyway. The year 2012 I believe is the end of the Mayan calendar. I could be wrong though. xd

However, there are many astrological signs that they predict will have some sort of effect on humanity, so who knows what will happen.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion.
I honestly think it's just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. I mean, think about it. Y2K, 6/6/06, 9/11/06. Just a bunch of hyped up hullabaloo, and nothing more. If you choose to believe otherwise, that's your choice. But as for me, I say that it'll all end when the good Lord wants it to.

12/21/2012 is actually the date in question. It is merely the end of the Mayan and Toltec calendars. It does not indicate the end of the world per se, but the end of a "Great Cycle" of more than five thousand years. In other words, the end of one world age and the beginning of another. Simply put, it is not the end of the world, but the end of the world as we know it....not necessarily a bad thing!

Well, apparently 2012 has been predicted as the ending of the world or the second coming of Christ by all great seers and past civilizations in recorded history. According to scientists many of the old civilizations like the Mayans, Aztecs and Egyptians had records of all the planets in the Solar System, including the ones that were not discovered until later dates. Apparently the Planet Nibiru was the possible cause of the destruction of the dinosaurs (and is making it's way into our vicinity again, which apparently people will be able to see with their bare eyes in the next few years by looking to the South and it will look like a big red line in the sky), and our planet is going to witness some kind of change into the 5th dimension, or the ending of our planet, or the rise of the New World Order or the end of the world, or something equally significant. It's all pretty open to interpretation in my opinion. I've been hearing things about it all over the place- the news, TV, religious figures. History Channel has another special on it almost every night of the week. Personally, I don't really believe in any of it. People are just seeing what they want to see, and are trying to find something to explain why things seems so shitty in the world right now. But it's just the way the world is.
